The service was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was fun and vibrant. The food was pretty good. I went with my two kids and they were allowed to stay until 8 pm. There's only three options for them on the kids menu. My Banquet burger came across as a cheap knock off of a Big Mac. The meat lacked seasoning and there was too much sauce. My son had the pile of ribs and he really enjoyed them.

Sorry but let's talk about squandering a great opportunity! They have the best patio in town but it's beyond run down and dirty. The food is getting better but is still sub-par. And the service ...well it's also getting better but still is not what it should. I will not be returning.

I have been here a few times, great atmosphere. The rooftop patio is amazing and makes you feel like you are no longer in Fort Mac. Fire booths and heat lamps on the roof make it cozy no matter what the weather is like. Bowling alley is very cool, style is different than any other alley I've been to. There were a lot of times where pins weren't knocked down and the machine called Strike X or Spare /. Basketball competition machine also didn't spit out any scores after our rounds. Both of those mishaps were kind of annoying for a new venue, but I would still go again.

Lunch and dinner menu is great! Don't expect 5 star dining, but appetizers and light meals for a very reasonable price. Avoid breakfast for sure. The chicken sandwich is the best item on the menu in my opinion.

The atmosphere and staff are amazing at this place. Bowling is fun.. My only complaint would be the food is inconsistent. Sometimes its good and sometimes its horrible. If it's really busy, chances are the food isn't going to be great but that has just been my experience. BUT It's a good place to go and have drinks.

I love The Banquet! Been going there since the day they opened and I highly recommend it for drinks with friends or a quick bite! The food is good and inexpensive and they have tons of different beers on tap. They also have tons of activities like bowling, arcade games and pool tables!

Such a great place! We brought the family after church Sunday for our first visit and we were very happy. Kelly was a wonderful as our waitress and the food was very reasonably priced. Not crowded at all at this time. Food was good, my husband had the brisket and I had the salad with grilled chicken. There was one issue with a very drunk man and the staff handled it very well. Will definitely be back!

It’s just ok. Space is massive and has a great patio upstairs. The food is mediocre and seems to be prepackaged/frozen, but it is reasonably priced. The beer selection is generous however it’s all large brands, nothing original. I would love to see a rotating tap or something like it where an Alberta brewed beer could be enjoyed.

This is a review for a skip order. I'll start with the good, the food tasted amazing but... it's easy to make 4 individual half pieces of asparagus taste amazing. Large salad fit into the palm of my hands, I think I paid 5 extra dollar for the packaging? It was also just iceberg lettuce. Side of asparagus was literally 4 pieces... for $4 and the warm potato salad was...good but... just potatoes. I am confused...did I get pranked? I usually don't write bad reviews but this was absolutely not worth the $25. I think the in restaurant portions might be bigger, hopefully...

We love this place! The Ceasar salad is great, fries and poutine are so good. Potstickers=yum! The burgers are weak. You can get better at A&W and the mac and cheese should be avoided until they improve it. We were told it's been sent back by many others and they're working on it. Love the service, ambience is good (never been there late at night tho). We personally love playing shuffleboard there.

We have eaten here many times now and 9/10, the experience has been excellent. The prices are low but the quality of the food is better than we expected. I have not had a bad meal yet. I gave 4 stars only because sometimes the wait times are long, to be seated or to be served. Maybe an extra person on staff would help with that but regardless, the staff are super friendly and we enjoy the food and atmosphere. I definitely recommend the Banquet. We love it!

Sara was our server this evening. Very friendly with a sharp sense of humour that kept us laughing along with her great service. Chicken wings were seasoned perfectly, but only one flavour was offered. This may be changing soon from what I heard. 30 beer on tap. Do not make your server recite them all just to choose bud light! The brisket was delicious along side with the mashed potato spring rolls? I think that's what they were called, a unique item I have not seen or tasted before. The prices are the best I've seen up here in quite some time, one more reason for me to return when I'm back in January. Drop by, you will not be disappointed.

This location has tons of parking, at least until the rest of the retail stores surrounding the lot get completed. There's a great patio on the second floor that is half covered with a roof and the other half is open beam style with fire tables and benches. There's bowling in the basement with a bar and some arcade games, on the main floor there's a few pool tables, another bar, a few more arcade games and some tables for dinning. On the roof top patio there is the third bar, tables for dinning, and more games. The food is amazing and variety of choices is huge. Definitely a great time whether you are going out for a quite night with just you and your significant other or meeting with large groups of friends.

I've been here twice so far. I went there this evening. The food is decent, drinks are great and cold. Bowling is a little pricey, but when work pays for it, it's not bad. The bathrooms are horrible on busy nights, Individual stalls, the long waits..bladders full of alcoholic beverages needing to escape the body..good concept for a smaller setting, but not ideal for Banquet.

We went there yesterday for the first time before the rush hour, 6pm. And it was already starting to get very busy. Ambiance was great. There are lots of arcade games for kids to play with. You need coins for it though. The service was fast considering how busy they are and food was delicious. The portions was pretty good and it was reasonably priced. We didn't get the chance to play Bowling but planning to next time. The kids loved it so as the adults. It's a great addition to our wonderful town.

First trip with the family. Went to try bowling and have lunch. Asked for the rates for bowling, was told 69.99$ plus 5$ per pair of shoes. Said thank you and walked away. 90$ plus tax for a family of 4 to bowl ? Wow. Food is well priced and the food was good overall. I recommend avoiding the ceasar salad dressing. They make their own dressing and it is more vinegar than anything else. Maybe a bad batch. But we will avoid in the future.

Food that I have had so far has been good but the service has been the issue. Once you are sitting it takes a real long time to get someone to come over even when other servers see you are waiting. Since they have a smoker it would be nice to see ribs on the menu.

To be quite frank, the food here is not the greatest. Decent and affordable but definitely could use some improvement. That's my personal opinion though. In terms of the atmosphere and entertainment, they rock! A little pricey but they have their deals. I really enjoyed going to the dance lessons hosted by the Latin Dance club and I am extremely grateful we have a place like this in Fort McMurray! Helps us stay alive and social! :D

When we got there, we seated ourselves. The server took about 5 mins before she noticed us. I gotta say, we came there on a Saturday night it was given that it wanna gonna be busy. She took another 5mins to get out drinks and another 5 to get our food. The service was quiet slow but she was nice. The food was not good, I ordered the premium hotdog Saturday special, you can get a better hotdog at New york fries. The ambience was really nice at the rooftop at night. We came downstairs in the basement for bowling, it was also really loud. The bowling was really nice and fun! However one of the guys sitting accross us started eating my friend's poutine and fries (they seemed drunk so we didn't bother). Overall it was an okay experience, will come to see that maybe it got better!

That was fantastic. The smoked items on the menu are all just great; the wings, the ribs, and the brisket. Get the brownie in a tin can, it's odd but the salted caramel is great. Lots of great bar games to play like jumbo Jenga and cornhole. There is as a bowling alley in the basement as well.

Beautifull place but few things need improvement. Service is not best, but they just opened and it will change over a time. Bowling price is too high, 90 $ with shoes, for a family of 4 or 5 I think overpriced, this is town with lot of young family and lot of them can not aford it, over a time price need to drop to 50-60 $ with shoes included or this place it will be empty. Food is cheep but I will never chose this place to take my family out for a lunch. Menu is like in fast food, we try half stuff, it is tasty but small portions. For example I order Pile of bones and get 5 small ribs, I did not expect much for 10.99 but this suppose to be on kids menu, my 3 year old son eat order Pile of bones (ribs) and it was still hungry. One adult can easily eat 4-5 orders Pile of bones. Hopefully menu will change and bowling price drop.

Tango Tacos AMAZING!!! They run a 2nd branded restaurant out of their kitchen (The Banquet) and its awesome! Tango Cantina. Haven't had a better taco platter since Puerto Vallarta. My favourite is the Pick 3 tacos, comes with homemade chips and salsa. Absolutely amazing! Real meat no ground. Comes with dipping sauces. Wicked guacamole! My favourite is the chicken tacos. Beef and chicken chimichangas also amazing. Love how they give you sauces on the side one spicy one mild. Homemade taco chips are awesome! The make yourself Margaritas are an awesome touch. They even send you the salt and instructions! All handmade nothing from a can. All the sauces you can tell are handmade. Won't find anything close to this unless you're in Mexico. I don't usually leave suck up reviews like this but this place is a must-try.

First experience was absolutely terrible took over an hour to get a drink even though me and my friends had to get 3 different servers to go make sure that our drinks were on the way still. Then it took half an hour to get our bill for that first round of drinks so that we could go upstairs. Walked out onto the patio and it was hotter out side than it was inside because of the over head heaters, and took about 40 minutes to get someone to turn our Heater above us off. On top of that it took over 20-25 mins to get a servers attention to get drinks and food menu's. The food tastes good; buuuuuuuut over priced and small portions, my buddy orders the "pile of bones" and let's just say it was literally just a pile of bones and nothing more hardly any meat on the ribs. Then finally when we've had enough we try to pay our final bill but it took over 20 minutes again to get it and while waiting for it me, my brother and my friend start getting harassed by maybe the drunkest person I've seen at a bar ever he could barely stand barely talk and was trying to pick a fight and to our suprise not one server bar tender or bouncer was trying to get buddy to leave us alone leaving us to deal with it our selves, almost getting physical at this point my brother went and got a bouncer him self once realizing that no one was going to do anything and finally got the guy kicked out. I must say any other bar in town would have cut the guy off or thrown him out but you guys decided to let him go around ruining people's nights. I highly suggest a bigger staff and perhaps buttons like the Brewhouse so instead of trying flag down a server and being ignored you can just hit the button and the server comes over when you need them. Look forward to coming to your establishment again once you guys have settled and have better trained staff on duty. Save your sorry's just fix the problem, this bar has the potential to be the best spot in town.

Right idea, wrong approach. Very inviting atmosphere however food was tasteless and something is wrong with their smoker. We had to pay 3 different tabs for the lounge, bowling and drinks. There should be a general tab. As well, bowling was insanely expensive and very crowded. Servers were also delivering food to the wrong tables constantly (which is understandable because it's a new place). Will not be returning. 04 June 2021 UPDATE: I fibbed from my last post, I DID return. I returned because my partner and I are on the keto diet and thought we would give it a second try. We sat on the patio (obviously because of Rona). I liked how it was covered in fake foliage to cover up a unestetically pleasing view. They had good music and drinks as well. The food was on par with pub food. I did ask for nothing deep-fried and something came deep-fried and it wasn't taken off our bill and we didn't eat it. We honestly didn't eat much of the food and enjoyed the drinks instead. Olivia was attentive and when we made a suggestion about the mosquitos she told her manager and he came over. The restaurant could definitely benefit from a Mosquito repellent. We use KONK to spray around our property. You could spray it in your foliage to help. The mosquitoes are flying bats this year and if you're not careful, a strong wind and now your gone to become a human Capri sun.

The food is probably the worst part about banquet, if you're hungry I recommend stopping somewhere else before heading to banquet, otherwise their specialty cocktails are only ok and definitely not for everyone, the beer selection is decent, the best part about banquet and the only thing that keeps me coming back is the fun atmosphere and selections of games, including bowling, shuffleboard, cornhole, etc.

I gave them one star for the waitress being kind and the patio. Chicken was so salty it was inedible. The brisket must have been from 1934 and sat in the desert since then. Cowhide would be easier to chew. Corn bread burnt. Said they were out of wings so we ordered a bbq platter. They brought the platter and then the wings. Wings were burnt. Unless you want alcohol and a nice patio in the sun I would not return.

Overcrowded. Very loud. Food was bland. Kids are in the establishment after their 8pm time. Gave the restaurant a couple visits to see if our experience would improve. The cocktails on tap are excellent. Some of the games should be reconsidered as we were sat at a table with basketballs literally flying at us. Wouldn't sit us on the patio after waiting 40 minutes for a table and literally staring at empty tables on the patio. However, would likely be fun after having dinner elsewhere.

Place looked awesome! The decoration was on point. Loved the 1976 Plymouth van seat style booths. The "man cave" (hate that term) look was nearly perfect. The tables are great and set up well. The music was good, volume where you could talk and getting louder as it got later and it changed to a club style I ordered the brisket. It tasted like nothing but charcoal. Nearly inedible. Everyone else liked their food so I'll give it a pass. The bathrooms, individual private kind. Long line , not enough of them, and just disgusting. Dont know how someone managed to pee that far up the wall. Savages. Overall not bad for a brand new place. Has potential, will return. Do something about those bathrooms though.

The place looks nice and obviously there was a lot of thought and passion put into making it look the way it does. However, the initial excitement wore off rather quickly after sitting down and taking a look at the menu. Had we not already ordered drinks, we would have walked out and went somewhere else. To be quite frank, the menu selection is embarrassing and barely a step above any of the local fast food places. After talking to our waitress and wanting to give feedback to have a manager improve said menu, we were told that this place would mainly be focusing on getting people drunk going forward. Ok then, just what this town needs more of... I can't say we will be going back.

The Banquet is a great place but the service is terrible. I hope the owner or manager sees this. Your staff is not serving the customers unless they tip. It should not be mandatory to tip especially when it takes 45 min for a drink. Maybe you should pay your staff better so they don't disrespect your customers. The waitress i had was a mouthy ripoff artist and literally told the tables that if they don't tip they can get their own. So we all went to the bar and were ignored by the bartender then told we were cut off because we we we were cheap customers and don't deserve service. The Banquet is a great idea but the service is the worst I've ever had. Nothing like being belittled an unappreciated in front of other customers! There was 9 of us and all of us agree not to return ! Oh, BTW one of the waitress was smashed!

We have been to the Banquet 3 times since they have opened, and all 3 times have been a great experience! We love the upstairs/outdoor patio; such a great atmosphere! Our most recent visit, we had a great chat with the assistant general manager, Spenser, who was so kind and informative, as well as our waitress Tamara, who both insisted on comping our meal, and catered to my gluten intolerance! Food was decent , simple, the preparation a little heavy handed. Service was nice The bad points and hence the rating; seeing half the kitchen staff in the parking lot smoking in uniform, walking past the kitchen and seeing just how dirty it was, with food left where it had fallen on the floor, three different servers in less than 10 minutes handling our table and still forgetting things. It is what it is just don't have high expectations.

Service was non existent. No forks or napkins brought with food. When asked took 10 minutes to get napkins, but no forks. Food for our table came out 18 mins apart. My wife sat there as everyone else had food. Sent back soda as it was flat. Got water that tasted like soap. First and last time I'll go to the Banquet. Iv never left a restaurant so disappointed in the whole meal.

My personal best experience at the banquet has been with the server albina she is fun, cool, carasmatic, and just makes any hangout at the banquet a enjoyed experince.

I waited a couple weeks, to hopefully visit after some of the kinks could be worked out. I know a new place will always have hiccups. However, after dining last weekend with my father-in-law, it will be a while before going back. While there were a number of girls standing at the front counter, and we were seated quickly, it took over 5 mins before a server brought us water. We were told she wouldn't be our server though as the other girl was running a little behind, and she was helping out. We waited another 5 mins before the same girl came back to take our drink order. 15 mins later we finally saw drinks. We asked to order food at the same time. We both ordered the Banquet Burger. The food came out rather quickly, about 10 mins. Unfortunately it was quite mediocre. The burger tasted more like that from a fast food place, than a pub. My side salad was very wet - like it was rinsed off in the same bowl and the water just poured out. There was a lot of fluid left in the bottom of the bowl. Finally after waiting for the bill for almost 10 mins, a gentleman (I'm assuming a manager) came by to see if we needed anything. He had our bill to us in less than a minute, and took the payment himself. So thank you! I think the atmosphere is interesting. I didn't see anything apart from the main area, but would like to see what else there is available. I will be back, but it will be a while.
