Not what it used to be. Lost its connection with members and their needs and wants. CBIG is too corporate to understand needs and has not educated staff on changes that it is attempting to implement. I live 2/10 mile from Brierwood but need to leave due to poor food quality poor service and overall confusion in staff understanding their role and the clubs offerings to members. What a shame. Great club lost its connection with what members want.

We had an 80th Surprise Birthday Party for my father, Robert Blacha, who worked for Bethlehem Steel and was a proud member of the Bethlehem Management Club in the 1980’s. My Mom, sister and I, with assistance from Tyler, planned an amazing party for my Dad and eighty guests. The setting, food, bar, and everything else was a success! I strongly recommend Brierwood Country Club to anyone planning an event. You will not be disappointed.

The food was bad for Mother’s Day brunch, even by buffet standards. Paper flowers on the table and cheap seating. Our waitress was very pleasant. You can get a better breakfast just about anywhere else for 1/2 the price.

Very disappointed in the way they have started treating their league bowlers. From refusing to offer larger mixed drinks (not more alcohol, but just the same drink in a larger glass), to offering to serve a mixed drink in a Styrofoam coffee cup, from absolutely ridiculous markups on wine (7.50 for a glass of $10 reisling) to charging $4 for a small bowl of snack mix. Couple that with lanes that break down weekly and I have a feeling we won't be back next year.

My family loves the time we spend at the pool here. The food is wonderful, the water in the pool is clean and comfortable and it is a nice place to just hang out. Parking lot could be a lot better, but we don't spend very much time there, so not a huge concern.

I held my daughters bridal shower in the Lake Erie room at the Brierwood Country Club. The staff, Tim especially, and the ambiance were exceptional. Tim could not have been more helpful. The menu choices give you a great variety. The food was excellent. I highly recommend holding any event here. I will be back! Thank you Brierwood CC for having a staff that cares.

My wedding here was absolute perfection! The food was delicious, all of the service was outstanding. The event manager, Ashley, was beyond accommodating and understanding. She made everything so easy and stress free. Not a single flaw or hiccup the entire day thanks to everyone at Brierwood.

After attending two weddings here it is safe to say they know what they are doing. The staff are all very professional and on top of their game. The facilities are well kept and would recommend thus venue to all my friends. The only suggestion to the place is have pitchers of water during the dancing to save the strain on the bartenders of having to fill a water glass every two seconds. Other wise I look forward to the next wedding i may be invited to here.

DO NOT JOIN BRIERWOOD. Worst experience I've ever had, joined July 2016 for a one year membership. What a waste. Staff is helpful until you sign your paperwork, then it's just all $$$ for them. Majority of members are rude and have no golf etiquette at all. Multiple issues with inconsiderate members who think they own the course. "Club" is outdated and the only thing they have to offer is the convenience of the location. There are plenty of other courses in WNY. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AN PLAY ELSEWHERE!

More then just a great place to golf! A great club for all types of events and meeting great people! You don't have to golf to join....join as a social member. Enjoy great food, drinks, swimming, tennis, lots of social events. Very reasonable rates. Ray, Tim and the rest of the staff really take care of their members!

I am extremely disappointed to say the Briarwood failed my daughter and son-in-law on their big day. To start, we selected the “Pure Elegance” package, which was supposed to include “Imported and domestic cheese display with gourmet crackers and vegetable crudités display with house made dip and butler passed hors d’oeuvres.” The hors d’oeuvres were passed around, but about halfway through the cocktail hour, I noticed there were no cheese, crackers, veggies and dip, even though I confirmed at prior meetings that the display would be presented with the hors d’oeuvres. When I asked a server where the display was, she stated she would go find Tyler and find out what went wrong. I was told Tyler would come out to speak with me. He never did. A plate of 2 types of cheese and box quality crackers appeared about 10 minutes later. No veggies or house made dip was ever served. Next, when dinner was served, It became apparent that the club was severely short staffed. It took an extremely long time for plates to be passed to the entire banquet hall and it took a full hour for the entre to be served after the salad. The late night food station was being set up shortly after the last tables received their dinner. When the main courses were finally served the steaks were definitely not done and the meat was not allowed to rest before it was plated. They were served as a medium rare in a pool of blood. Many people chose not to eat their steak. During dinner I noticed that there were no coffee cups at the tables. I stressed at multiple different meetings that I wanted coffee served to guests at the tables during dinner and with dessert. I was told that it would be no problem. When I asked staff where the coffee cups were, I was told that they did not have enough coffee cups so it was set up in the NEXT ROOM OVER for people to go and help themselves. How do you have a banquet hall and not have enough cups for the amount of people it can serve!? This was totally unacceptable. After dinner, cake was to be served to the guests for dessert and the dancing was to begin. We waited and waited and no cake appeared. I asked a server where the cake was and was told “We are working on it.” Eventually we could not wait any longer. It was 9PM and the dancing hadn’t even started yet. We had our DJ start the music and the first dances. Thank god we provided our own sweets table because people flocked to it in the absence of cake. Later in the night, cake started appearing on tables where nobody was sitting any longer and sat there all night to eventually be wasted. I also saw cake on trays appear in the corners of the room, like they were finally ready to be served, but no one passed them out. The amount of cake that was wasted is unacceptable and my daughter and son-in-law deserve some sort of reimbursement for the wasted cake as a result of Briarwoods poor service. As the night progressed, It was as if Briarwoods staff had completely disappeared. Cake remained sitting on trays, plates were not picked up from tables and there was no coffee or milk left at the coffee station and no one to refill it. The facility was a MESS. At the end of the night it was the bridesmaids and groomsmen who had helped us pack everything up and get it out to the car. That was probably because the staff was busy helping themselves to our late night food station. Throughout the night, I asked for the banquet manager, Tyler, several times and he never came out to confront me regarding the obvious issues we had. The staff of Briarwood, starting with the banquet manager, was very unprofessional and I am throughly displeased. I did not enjoy one second of my daughters wedding because I was too busy trying to get Briarwood to fix their mistakes and apologizing to our guests for the poor service. It was truly embarrassing.

This place is run like a back alley underground bar. Try calling, you will not reach any one at ANY extension. Go ahead, leave a message, no one will get back with you. Press one, Ann MAY answer the phone, not be able to assist you and transfer you to an extension you have leave messages and tried before. Director the same. UNLESS he wants you to renew and he will call you daily. How is this place in business? Pool is run the same way. NO country club experience whatsoever.

We were thrilled with the venue and the staff for our Wedding Shower- it was absolutely wonderful! We would recommend Brierwood to anyone! We had never been members nor had we ever been to the venue other than investigating the club as a possible venue for our shower. Paige and her staff were so accommodating and helpful. The service was superb and the food was delicious! We are actually a little disappointed that we did not pick Brierwood for our wedding venue!!! I can't say how wonderful it was. It was a great location, easily accessible, the bathrooms were clean and easy to find, and the staff was willing to go above and beyond! We enjoyed every step in planning our event and every moment of the event itself. We love Brierwood now and can't wait to come back! Thank you to Paige and all of Brierwood staff for a wonderful event!

Has really gone downhill with frequent management and personnel changes, never a response if you try to call, and inaccessible services. The grill room is open sporadically, but that's okay since the food quality and selection has plummeted.
