They did a great job of running the men's novice championship. The greens aren't great but the people are very nice.

It was a totally unexpected experience. People say it's an old person sport. But it's not! It just happens to be a sport that older people can play. This particular club has members as young as 18 years old. It does take a little bit of muscle to play but it takes a whole lot more skill than most people would think.

A quaint old Clubhouse with a lovely veranda that over looks 8 greens. The landscaping looks a little sad except for the wonderful vegetable garden in the back corner. Each of the Greens are variable in their predictability but as with any green it is the same for all players, some are just quicker to adjust. My reason for not making this higher is the smoking. Many of the Burnside Club members smoke and since they are not allowed to smoke on the grounds they step outside the fence and smoke there. Sadly smoke does not know barriers, so the stink and chemicals waft in over the Greens making it very unpleasant for players and fans. It was especially obnoxious when they started using pot. This issue made the experience very unpleasant.
