Features an awesome giant claw game! The claw is a good 3 feet wide when it is extended and lowers about 3 to 4 feet once you adjust and initiate the claw drop. The claw closes on the desired prize which are a hefty 2 x 3 and 3 x 4 stuffed animals and other assorted characters. It's more extensive than the smaller claw games you see at other places but it's super fun for the kids. It's also an awesome 10 to 20 minutes if you are on a date at the bowling alley. A great ice breaker before hitting the lanes or a great closer after bowling with someone special.

This was the second bowling place for the night. It was nice that we didn't have to wait for a lane to be available because they had plenty, but $40 per hour and limits of 5 per lane was a little lame. Also, we had two frames left on our second game (3 people per lane) and once the time was up it didn't let us finish the two frames. This is the first time this has ever happened in any bowling alley.

I love bowling here. The price adds up with 3 people and shoes too, but its worth it for how much fun it is. We pay per game rather than for a certain number of hours. Afterwards we like to enjoy the arcade. Very fun place to go as a family.

The narrows plaza bowl is my favorite place to bowl in Tacoma! Call ahead to make sure you can get a lane! They have events and leagues that meet there frequently which can make getting a lane difficult.

Staff was friendly and the facility was very clean. Bathrooms were also very clean. This bowling alley is like what you see in the movies. A throw back when families went to have a great time bowling. The facility is vintage, but in a good way. There is an arcade section where you can win tickets for toys. Places to eat, a lounge and of course beers/drinks.

Update! We came tonight, lanes full and my daughter was upset. I asked the lady at the counter to tell my daughter the lanes were full and she thought since the alley was quiet I might be fooling her....but people had reservations. But since another employee overheard us.....while we played in the arcade the employee came up and gave us passes to come back and play for free. I can just say as a patron, I respect that! This company cared about our experience. They went above and beyond to keep us happy. That is excellent customer service and definitely be back and will a always say good things about this place. I'm impressed! ???? Everything was pretty good. Good customer service at the desk. Glow bowl Saturday night $40 for 5 ppl for an hour. The bar looked neat..people singing karaoke. Great aracade for kids. Would come definitely come back.

bowling for schools is a joke. a much better explanation on how this actually works. the girls up front didnt even know. I had 3 kids along with my wife and we thought "hey this will be a cheap day to take the kids bowling and benefit the schools". No 1 game and shoes was 60 dollars. we drove from spanaway just to attend this so called "deal".

Though Narrows could use some modernization/renovations, it's a solid place to go for a fun night out with friends or the family. The attached bar has reasonably priced drinks and an awesome KJ known simply as "Al" who sure knows how to host a party.

My favourite bowling alley in Tacoma...and fortunately we still have several to choose from. Seattle destroyed almost all of theirs. It's very clean for a bowling alley here, bright. They have good promotions to save money if you like to bowl. I like the all you can bowl on Thursday nights. They also have things like pancakes and bowling on the weekends. Which brings me to the cafe and bar - both are solid here. I wouldn't eat here just to have a meal, but if I'm hungry I know I'll get a decent burger or appetizers. Cocktails are decently made and the bar can be somewhat busy here.

Narrows Plaza Bowl is our favorite place to bowl! My son, daughter and I started bowling at Narrows last year and in the time that we have been bowling there we have seen many changes in the operations of the business. The owners and staff at Narrows have really made a push to get more involved with the community and in turn get the community more involved in bowling. That being said Narrows is expanding their High school support and offering youth leagues this year. We participated in the kids choice league this summer that allowed all 3 of us to bowl on a mixed team together and will be bowling the fall kids choice as well. They recently expanded their café hours to service the early morning crowd. The food is tasty and there is a great selection of healthy salad choices among the normal burgers, fries and pizza that you would find at a typical bowling alley. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. There is a great Pro shop with a large selection of equipment for all skills and sizes. Fred the Pro is the best ball driller in town.

Took my family here. It was okay. Your only allowed 2 people per lane. We ended up with 3 lanes and they made 1 of my family to bowl on a lane by themselves. I felt like they didn't have many bowling ball selections. I couldn't seem to find the right bowling ball.

A good local bowling alley. Great food and deals and the arcade is decent. Way across the parking lot there is a play area/arcade/food place called Odyssey 1 and it is GREAT and SO FUN for kids. I know I had such a blast there when I was little. What I loved to do when I was little was go bowling here, then just drive up across the parking lots to Odyssey 1. You will really get exhausted but VERY worth the fun. Also, right across from this building is an old theatre named Galaxy Narrows 8 Theatre. I wish it was still open although it was very old but it was a really great theatre. What was really good about these places around was that you could go bowling and then watch a movie at Galaxy. It closed in 2013. They should really renovate or demolish that theatre and open up a brand new one... All the way in Tukwila (around Seattle) there is a fun little place called ACME Bowl and they have a GIANT claw machine. My family and I would always win big prizes and my siblings and I just wished there was one close by because that game is fun for all ages lol... Then later that August of 2015, my family and I drove past this bowling alley and realized that we haven't been here in YEARS. We went there and there it was! THE BIG CLAW! We were so excited and happy. We've been winning big prizes since and now our basement is packed with them... Anyways been going here since I was little but they should really renovate their bathrooms and their chairs near the lanes but this is a great bowling alley.

Great bowling alley with a well sized arcade that suits all ages. The lanes are well maintained and you don't need to search too long to find the ball you want. The food is pretty standard faire for such a place, but it's pretty good. Expect to wait a bit of a while for anything hot.

I have a hard time NOT giving anything but 5 stars to authentic places from the 80s and 70s. Cant beat a bowling alley smell yo relive your childhood. Karaoke in the good times lounge with mainly older folks on sat. Nights. Good stage and sound system. But I feel sad if I sing faster songs on account of the older people who dont like newer music. Lounge is correct if you aren't going ri sings bartender makes his own drinks too. Real nice guy

Always a pleasant experience. The food is great, the lanes and shoe rentals are reasonable, enough that I can go at least twice a month. Lots of fun and the arcade is a plus. Love the air hockey and the black lights. Wear a white T-shirt or scarf for a cool glowing effect.

Bumped my Rating 3stars! Staff is always 5stars! Since they changed Hr's of operation! Apparently they figured to just dump oil on the lanes and call it good! I may be a Beginner/ Amateur lol I took a 22 year break with a 235 scratch average! And put in the hours in this summer to fall now with well over 1000 games under my belt to get me close to where I left off! And i know how to read the lanes on oil patterns and and my ball responses! And when I say that those lanes were over oiled they were ! When I can have one of my balls reaction float right before the head pin that's bad for pin action unless you want to spare every frame! And my favorite benchmark I use that I run the short hook with for fresh didn't cut on the backend and float past the brake point! If you think oh you were going to fast lol my speed i dropped to was 13.5mph! My starting speed for my ball is 14.5mph and that's for 41' pattern and 15mph for 37' pattern and my starting point would have been more left on the short pattern! But standing center and running between 3rd-2nd arrow and floats past the breakpoint! Too much oil! I almost through my urethane! Which is my spare ball! Lol Just plan for heavy oil 3 game breakin and use a ball that runs your line ! My next trip might be to another ally for practice!

Narrows Plaza Bowl & Entertainment Center is spacious and clean! Great food! Friendly staff and atmosphere! We love bowling here a couple times a week! If you have children I would recommend they join the kids bowling league at Narrows Plaza. Chris and Jimmy are excellent bowling coaches! One of their students just recently won 1st Place in a Doubles Junior Bowling Tournament thanks to the great youth coaches. Narrows Plaza Bowl & Entertainment Center is the best bowling alley in town!

Great value for the money. We got a family special on a Sunday afternoon, it was only 12$ per hour with upto 5 bowlers, including shoes and 5 large pops. Most places would be 12$ just for shoes or pop, this included everything. The lane equipment/electronics were all working and newer than many of the other area bowling places.

Former Employee Starting in Snack bar(Cashier/prep) And Later Moved to Maintain Cleanliness of The whole Bowling alley (CSR/Janitorial) as a former employee, I Have to say, I love this bowling alley. I loved working here, Its a Fast paced enviroment when its busy and sometimes requires some priority based problem solving, but the experience of working hard, and seeing people happy, smiling, interacting and learning who regulars are, and setting up for Seasonal Leagues was rewarding. This bowling alley is a hidden gem, anyone could go to towers, or another alley nearby, but narrows plaza has a flair to all hired employees that all other bowling alleys lack. Working here was something I was proud of and always will be but now I'm on to an even bigger project.

The wait staff is in need of some coaching on customer service, I ordered the fish and chips for a total of $9.00. When the bartender brought the order, he failed to bring napkins, eating utensils and brought an Inadequate amount of tarter sauce. After tasting the fish, I realized it tasted burned and after further observation, I realized it tasted that way because the cooking oil had not been changed. The oil was so old, it made the fish very greasy so greasy, the fish was soaked through with oil also giving it a burned flavor, it was also very salty. Very bad!! When I told the bartender about the fish, he only responded by saying "I'll let the cook know". Proper response should've been "sir, I'm very sorry, May I offer you something else?" Or at least offer a discount. I literally paid for a meal that was basically inedible and the staff lacked empathy.

Lots of lanes available (40), so you don't have to make reservations, though if it's busy you may have to wait a bit if you need assstance (e.g., stuck ball or jammed pins). They also do group events. Snack bar has lots of choices. Kids sometimes get distracted by the video arcade. Some local businesses such as Ivars and the teriyaki place near the local Fred Meyer offer discount cards good for a free game at Narrows Bowl.

I've been here several times and Everytime the staff has been eating at the front counter. All but one employee has been rude or very dismissive. They seem to be bothered if you ask for something. Lanes usually have issues so you have to ask for help, which sucks if the employees act like it's a huge inconvenience. Won't come back here unless all other alleys are packed.

Customer service was not the best. There was a gentleman who worked there who was just walking around telling people to keep their mask above their nose but never told any of the people who weren't wearing any to put one on. He also didn't seem as concerned with serving the customer's as he was afk from the front desk most of the time. When you pay for a hour and have a issue with your lane but you have to wait 10-15 minutes to talk to anyone before the problem is fixed it can be a little frustrating.

The balls are very round and quite smooth. I found that they were very easy to roll. I think they need to be updated though because their navigation seemed to malfunction. Despite my best efforts to hit all the pins I often found my ball wandering astray. In many cases my ball went so far as to exit the play area and roll down the penalty passageway. They also have mini golf.

This was a really lovely place to bowl. They have online booking which I really loved and about 40 lanes so it is easy to plan a fun night out. They do have food although we didn’t eat there. The staff is super kind and accommodating and it looks like there’s a few things to do besides bowl. We were excited that parking was ample and it was not too crowded on a Sunday night.

My favorite bowling alley! Lots of room, good prices, friendly and helpful staff. The arcade is pretty awesome too! Heads up, though, the In The Groove dance machine in the arcade is broken and the repair guy seems to have no plans on fixing it. Nothing against Narrows Plaza as it's technically not their machine. But I feel like it's something that should be known so people arent wasting their money on a game that doesnt even work right.

Bowling alley is quaint, but a bit outdated. The few people I interacted with were okay, but I noticed the same employees being short with other customers. The food was above average. I had the breakfast burrito Thoughit was tasty, for the price, I expected it to be bigger The fish and chips were decent. Good portion size and fried well (probably more than most people would want, but I like my fried fish extra crispy). The shoestring fries were, well fries. Overall, good place to bowl, in tacoma, and reasonably priced.

What can I say? This place is awesome, they have a lot of deals depending on the day. Tons of lanes, so be ready to walk a bit to get to the food and drinks. The staff is extremely polite and I wanted to write this to let them know we appreciate that very much. For example, we asked for a lane closer to the bar but were turned down because of League games going on. After that finished, they asked us if we would like to relocate. Thanks for keeping us in mind! I've been there a handful of times and it's now our place to bowl. Keep it up!

Here’s the thing. Bowling was super fun! The lanes are nice updated tv screens and super friendly staff. However, we had ordered cheese fries and it took a entire hour to get them. By the time they came to our table our group we went with was getting ready to leave so we had to take our fries to go and eat them in the car. Our lane was right across from the kitchen and about 30 minutes into waiting I looked back and no one was even in the kitchen. Someone finally came back about 20 minutes later. It was very very disappointing. Other than that it is a really nice bowling ally.

My work rented out the whole building for our company Christmas party. It was amazing that we could fit over 500 people in one place and have so much fun! I never bowled that many games in one sitting before, I'm not that good but it was fun! They catered all the food and it was tacos, they did such a good job taking care of us and they were all so friendly. We had a photo booth and karaoke in the bar. There was an arcade that you can win tickets for prizes, the games were fun and I won a bunch of tickets to give away to the little ones. I loved the fun atmosphere and the way they took care of our very large company party. I will definitely be going back!
