Good place to go bowling, the best night to go is on Tuesday it's cheaper. Gets pretty busy on Saturday. Food prices are expensive depending on what you order. They have pool tables it's a $1 a game so pretty good. Its a great place to get out for the night. But could use some updating.

This a great place to go on a Friday night for bowling a you can go for 10.98 per person plus your shoe cost, so for two two people after 9 pm for around 35.00 you can bowl unlimited games for two hours!! Which is awesome price! The staff from the front staff to the food staff to the bar staff are all awesome!!

Worst possible place I’ve ever been. Got ripped off, the natchos were still cold, and am physically sick from the food. The management doesn’t know how to deal with customers and needs an education in customer service. Don’t go to this bowling alley if you don’t want to get sick or eat 21 dollar cold natchos. Cool lights, friendly staff, and overall decent place, really cheap. It cost about $13 per person to bowl two matches, including shoe rentals. It was fairly busy and so some balls (i.e. 10lb) were rarer. Some shoe sizes were also in short supply (e.g. Men's 9& 9.5) as they ran out. Displays/animations (say when you get a strike) on bowling lanes were a little old.

Our go-to bowling place! We always have a blast whether we are bowling or hanging out in the arcade. Snacks and drinks aren't bad and the staff is usually pretty great! Plus the prices are pretty much unbeatable. Make sure you call ahead if you're unsure of the schedule or if you think it might be busy. Sometimes there are leagues or tournaments happening and the public bowling lanes are limited!

Pretty fun place to be at. The staff is well-spoken and you can generally find open lanes (weekends evening might be tricky) Been there a few times recently and had quite a lot of fun. Tip:- Try to not put more than 4-players per lane if you have a larger group.

It's a good place for bowling, and they have several weight options for balls, but are very limited in finger hole sizes (on the smaller side, unless you use the max weight). The food and drink prices are outrageous ($20 for a large pepperoni pizza and $10 for popcorn) and there's a limited selection of beers with no cider options. If you just go to bowl, it's great but not so much if you want a night out with friends.

I’ve been to this location twice. One time was good one time was horrible. On the second occasion we called to make a reservation and nobody answered so we just came hoping for the best. We ended up having to wait 30 minutes which we expected. We ordered food and waited at the bar until our names were called. My friend happened to notice that there was a nasty fingernail laying on the bar which was disgusting. We finally got our lane and waited another hour for our food. The food was decent but extremely overpriced for what it was and the portion sizes were small. My friend had ordered an extra order of fries on the side for his girlfriend which cost $6 extra which is insane! They ended only being a few fries extra. It was so un noticeable that someone else had eaten them thinking that was a regular portion. When we complained about the situation we were told we would receive an extra order of fries (we didn’t). Others around us were having food issues as well. I felt sympathy for the staff as it appeared they were short staffed. The bar staff seemed flustered and angry. The guy at the front counter was busy but nice to customers. I would probably come back to bowl but I would never purchase food or drinks again!

So I went bowling last night with some friends at the newly renovated Brunswick Zone Frederick Lanes. I must say the the new look is absolutely gorgeous. BUUUT for the second time now I have experienced some shady business practices, by the employees and management of this establishment. At a previous time I visited this alley, I brought a group of friends for a Wednesday night special pricing. When I got there I was informed by the staff that that special we had come for was not available because they were now on summer specials and the one I referenced did not apply, even though it was advertised on their website and while I was speaking to the staff person, the special I came in for was being advertised on the TV behind her! Then last night they advertised that there was a 3.00 domestic beer special, but when a woman in my group wanted to purchase a bottle of Molson Canadian she was informed that that was not part of the domestic special. Since when is Canadian not considered domestic? As an organizer of a social group, I love organizing bowling events. But I will no longer bring my groups to this alley until they get their s**t together.

Average bowling experience, the screens above the bowling lanes could use an update - the "animations" probably haven't been changed since the early 90s. Super pricey on a Saturday. For four of us to bowl 3 games it cost a total of $106.... You're pretty limited in terms of options for bowling in Kitchener so this place is a bit more modern compared to others.

Usually an alright place and we were having a great time before it got ruined. We were the only people there and we're doing our best to follow all the rules - not allowed to choose your ball, not allowed outside the tape zone for your table, no arcade, no food/drink, all masked up....we played by the rules So why, WHY would you seat a family of 6 at the lanes and table RIGHT NEXT TO US when literally every other lane/table was open. Seriously? Not once, but twice, we had to wait for one of their kids to get out of our taped table zone so we could safely bowl our turn. It ruined the whole outing for us. We threw away most of our second game so we could just leave...and went for pizza slices. Very disappointing. I took pics and posted on twitter.

Brought the kids here Saturday evening. (4, 5, 9 yr olds) haven't been to this place in years. I didnt know they had ramps to roll the ball from to make it easier for the kids. A little expensive for a family of 6 but we spent a good 2 to 3 hour here playing 1 game and eating. food was good. They have good wings, they had a 2 hot dog deal that could be split between 2 kids. They have an nice little arcade we spent the remainder of the evening. Only downside going here with 3 young kids on a Saturday evening was it was getting a little crowded toward the end of our night but I think thats expected.

I cant believe the way I was treated on the phone. I called to book a couple lanes had to leave a message. When they called back the guy was sooo RUDE on the phone I couldn't book the lane because I have to pay up front for all the guests and shoe rental than he hung up on me too. I totally can see having to leave a deposit and I was prepared to do that but no way I am paying in full. The last time we went here the guy was cleaning off the tables and threw out all our stuff we were still bowling 4 pops half full 1 bottle of water brand new. half order of fries and almost a full order of cinnamon squares , was not impressed. we were not sitting at the table behind us because we were bowling but it still had all our coats and shoes and purses sitting at the table as well its did not look like it was abandoned table. They did not do anything to fix the problem. Go to Town bowl instead family owned and operated and super nice people

My kids LOVED this place. It is clean and seems to be freshened up, but has a old timers feel to it, which we love. The bowling was also fun and the staff made sure everyone had a great time. Food was not bad. Prices a bit high, bit with young kids, you can't take advantage of their night time specials. It was however worth every penny. My kids still talk about going back to bowl.

My husband and I enjoyed our experience at AMF Frederick. We were able to play two games of bowling which was really fun. It was especially interesting for my husband whose from Nova Scotia and is used to Candlestick bowling. Funny still where the gentleman at the table with us using the lane next to us who showed us during our very last frame that we were holding the ball incorrectly. We were able to enjoy a drink which was quite nice. We didn't have any loonies but the pool table in the bar was only a buck a game. And we definitely enjoyed using the arcade area. Look forward to coming back soon for another date.

If you love to bowl or just like to bowl for fun, I recommend coming here. I came here on Tuesday for their $2.22 / game deal. With the shoe rental it came up to be around $7, which is such a great deal! They have a lot of parking so no need to worry. Staff was also really friendly.

I love this place, I'm a regular league bowler but I pretty much go 5-6 times a week and reason is the staff and the lane and facility conditions. They have staff members like Lisa who make that place the way it is. Every section has their own stars like Paige & Kelly at the bar, Carl & Mikayla at the snack bar, Barb who a lane server & who you'll recognize by laugh, and also the unseen all Stars Dan, Kurt, Duncan & Matt (even though he gave his notice) But every one of these people and many more make this such an amazing place to visit.

Worst experience ever decided to celebrate my 1 year anniversary here and the lane got stuck 3 or 4 times where we had to reset it. Then after that the our button would not work so we had to ask the front to fix it twice before they changed us lanes then after the first round on the different lane the same issues happened and we left half way through the 2 hours we paid for. Will never be back and highly recommend to avoid unless you want constant lane issues

The recent changes in aesthetic have reduced the quality for league bowlers. They took away places to put bowling balls and the floors are constantly sticky and ruin bowling shoes. The staff is amazing and it is still a great place but it is unfortunate that decisions for a bowling alley were made that reduce the quality of bowling in place of making it a "hangout spot". Seems strange.

Went on Tuesday after 8pm. was told the deals on the website didn't exist anymore. Paid $25 for 2 games for 2 people and $7.50 a beer. Also, I had to get someone from the front every time I wanted concessions, the staff spent all night chatting at the counter.

Decent place to bowl. Good deals everyday, makes it really cheap. Horrible service for food. Waited over an hour for food then they realized they lost it. Except they didn't admit it, and told us we were the ones that lost it and couldn't get a refund. If someone from another lane didn't come and tell them they had an extra plate of food delivered to them an hour ago we wouldn't have gotten refunds. It's okay that they made the mistake but the insistence that they gave us our food and we must be the ones that are lying was rude. Didn't appreciate the attitude from the staff either.

We went with a group of 5 at 9:20 Friday night for their "Friday night unlimited bowling special" we spent $125 and $200 at the bar after a game and a half it said our time was up. The lady behind the desk kept saying there's a 2 hour time limit and it's in the fine print, but I'm not exactly sure where" nowhere in the fine print does is say this. And why would "unlimited bowling" have a 2 hour time limit? It does say a price for Saturday night specials for 2 hours that's why we went friday. It's just a scam and we hope more people understand this before they get ripped off too. Very disappointed

2.5 - 3 Stars. This is just an average bowling alley in every way. Food is OK. Service is OK. Arcade is small and OK (much smaller than it looks on the website & only takes loonies). Prices for bowling and food are fairly average. It does have lots of well maintained bowling lanes and they're nicely organized. As mentioned in other reviews, the system for tallying scores is out of date. It has a few loonie billiard tables as well and a more private adult bar in the back.

We came in for a birthday on Apr 17th...four in our group...we were told we would have to switch lanes due to leagues playing...we agreed to be moved once.....in the third game we were told we had to move AGAIN. After paying almost $100 and being inconvenienced more than we agreed to...there was no offer to compensate us for our inconvenience. DO NOT COME HERE!! Fun for a late night activity! Monday’s have a set price with unlimited bowling after 8pm! Usually isn’t too long of a wait time unless you are trying to get in to the cosmic bowling on Saturday nights. The staff is basically 16 and 17 year olds with zero customer service skills, but that is to be expected. Do yourself a favour and don’t order food from their concession stand.. you can see the staff behind the counter eating popcorn with their bare hands out of the popcorn machine, and snacking on fries and other foods. Super unsanitary and unprofessional. The food is also usually microwaved and overpriced (to be expected at a bowling alley).

Always a great bowling experience, but for the first time had an issue on price. On Wednesdays their website says that it’s unlimited bowling after 9pm for $12 which includes shoes. When we went to pay, they charged us for the shoes, despite me showing the website where it said both in the fine print and on the special that shows were included, but she decided not to honour this.

Bowling was fine, but no bumpers unless you're under 10? Silly rule... I really cant understand any reason for it. My partner and I suck at bowling and go to have fun, which is difficult when you gutter every other ball... Prices are pretty expensive, $33.75 for two people unlimited bowling for 2 hours (a Saturday special) after a $10 off coupon was applied. Ok with the coupon on top of the special I guess, but otherwise too expensive for us. 4.40 for a Pepsi though??? Yikes. Was also given incorrect change for the pop too. Vomit in the female washroom too. (Not the staffs fault, but just gross.) Doubt we will come back.

We had two lanes and both lanes stopped returning balls. We let the front desk know and they sent someone to fix it. Then the one lane came back up and our children started playing again while we continued to wait for ours. We again had to go up and they sent someone to fix ours again. Unfortunately our kids were fairly far ahead of us because there were only 3 of them compared to 4 of us. Again our ball return didn't work. Our kids were done their game and so we approached front desk requesting that perhaps since we had, had a very poor experience that they would reimburse a portion of our game. The lady behind the counter said no and I asked to speak with the manager and she said 'I am the manager'. We will not be going back. There are many other bowling alleys in the K-W region.

We've been league bowling at AMF with a group of friends for a few yrs & our experience has been great. The staff, without exception, are attentive, welcoming, friendly, & quick to address any concerns - always with a positive outcome. However, one particular staff member who stands out is Lisa - I believe she's the manager? She is simply lovely, & nothing seems to frazzle that woman! I've watched her deal with some questionable behaviour of guests, & I am in awe of how she can resolve an issue with a positive outcome while remaining calm, in control, & with a modicum of class. I realize everyone's job has become more of a challenge since the introduction of covid & I'm impressed with AMF's efforts in keeping their establishment safe for both their staff & their patrons. During it all, Lisa's high level of professionalism & service never changed. AMF, you are so fortunate to have Lisa on your team. Thank you Lisa for making our time at AMF so much fun!

My favourite bowling alley in town! Best priced 10 pin by far. Staff were very nice last time I was there, and I was impressed that they had no problem accommodating a group of 8 on short notice. The drinks were absolutely delicious, the only issue is that me and 2 friends each ordered one and then they said they were out of the alcohol used for that specific drink once we wanted another, so we had to choose something else. Really minuscule problem though, would 100% recommend this bowling alley to anyone in the KW area.

One of my fav 10 pin spots. I wish they had TVs up for like sports or something. They took out the old seating and added Chairs and tables. I think it's too many tables a little cramped now.

The front desk worker was very friendly and communicated clearly how they were instilling safety precautions. The atmosphere is very cool and fun! My only issue is that you pay per game and not per hour like at competing bowling alleys, so my partner and I found ourselves spending 25$ to bowl for 20 minutes and that just isn’t worth the fun lights sometimes. Plus you also have to pay for shoe rental, so it’s a very expensive outing and not worth it considering we didn’t even spend an hour there.
