Awesome staff and owner. This is the last original store left in chinook mall. If you are a 5 pin bowler this is the place to go. Also there pricing is the lowest in Calgary.

It was fun, clean, and staff was friendly. It's expensive however and they would not give any leeway on the bumpers for up to 7 yo's only however. Children who are small for their age, and autistic could have had a better time as a result. This wasn't a good enough reason apparently.

This place is awesome - I purchased bowling balls from here for my son's 9th birthday - the staff are super friendly, sense of humour, welcoming and smiling. Plenty of lanes from, 5 - 10pin, cafeteria, proshop, glow in the dark, private parties! Very cool place - highly recommend. OH, also the place was immaculately clean - from the moment you walk in, to the washrooms, the lanes. Loved it!

Just had our daughters 6th birthday party here. Calling and reserving the party was really easy. Staff were always super friendly. Food was great, bowling was fun and all the kids had a great time. If I had to criticize one thing it would be the size of the party room. We had 9 kids and some adults and it was squishy.

Bowled a game with my wife while we were just hanging out in the mall for the afternoon. It smelled very musty as soon as we went through the doors and down the stairs. It got a little better once we were actually in the Bowladrome. Staff was super friendly and got us all setup and ready to go quickly. We would go again if we're looking for something to do.

We went bowling for the first time as a family to Chinook Bowladrome last night. Our youngest is 9 years old and now too old to use the bumpers. The poor little dude had a different image of bowling in his mind and was taking this pretty hard. I was trying to help him realize that he could do well without the bumpers. This was taking some consoling and cajoling; I wasn't getting very far. We were way over in lane four but Matt, from the front desk, must have noticed. He came over to have a chat with our son. Matt was sympathetic, encouraging, and offered some help/pointers to get our shy kid started. Thank you sincerely, Matt. You are great at what you do. Your personal touch made all the difference in our evening.

Old school five-pin joint. I was apprehensive about going here because of complaints about prices and customer service, but we had nothing of the sort. The owner was helpful selecting the best option (1 hour was better than paying for two games) and got us to our lane quickly. The tech is indeed a little old, but perhaps my wistful feelings toward MS-DOS made it alright.

The bowling here is fairly decent. The lanes rarely have problems that make you wait to bowl. The prices are a little over the top but I guess they got to make money to pay the rent for all of that space. Usually pretty busy on a weekend and fairly busy in the evenings. Pretty dead earlier on.

Our group of 20 people had to change our venue due to the fact that the owner was extremely rude. He spoke to me like I couldn't comprehend the English language and was gesturing and throwing his hands in the air while he was speaking to me. He was EXTREMELY rude unprofessional and it's hard to believe he owns the place. I WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone. DO NOT bowl at Chinook Bowladrome. It was a horrible experience.

I went here once to go bowling with my friends and recognized a buddy who worked there. Later the same night I went with my girlfriend and my buddy was still working. I asked my friend how long he had been working that day and he explained that he worked 9 hours and had no break. He explained the situation further and what they do is illegal. I called the AB labor board and explained to them as well and they said its illegal too. I will no support this business ever again. Also very rude arrogant staff when asking for help.

I wish I could do half a star but in reality I am giving the 1 star because the food was decent. We got a rather rude explanation as to why we can’t use the bumpers for our 8 year old brother who was getting upset cuz he wasn’t hitting anything. Ultimatly we got it but not without attitude. Same lady came to my father and rudely and condensendinly told us we had a minute left which we already knew about. We were going to get another hour. After that I told my step mom what happened and that I felt like we were being booted out. Step mom spoke with the manager and we have 0 faith that he will speak with the lady. We were there for literally an hour and had issues with this woman TWICE. Manager tried to defend what his employee was doing saying he’s never had issues so obviously his customers opinions mean squat. I will be telling all my bowling friends to go to a more professional alley in the future.

Was a nice time bowling, as we had never been to a 5 pin bowling alley. The prices were a little steep, and while the staff was relatively friendly to our party, we did overhear them being quite rude to the group next to us. It's a bummer that they only allow bumpers for 7 and under, and that if you choose to have bumpers for one person, the entire group will have them. We were also informed that the bumpers are not reinforced like a normal bowling alley, and if they were to go down due to one of our harder adult rolls, they would not put them back up. My 8.5 year old was a little disheartened because she kept getting gutters and we weren't able to turn the bumpers on for her.

Overpriced in my opinion. 2 people for shoe rentals for two games (30 mins) cost $32.00. This location has outdated equipment from the 90s still in use. 5 pin bowling (small bowling balls) only at this place. I'm sure there are better bowling spots in this city. Wouldn't come here again. Staff here was alright. No alcohol permitted here either.

I've been going to these lanes since I was 13. The owner there is a wonderful person! They have treated me very well over the years. I would 100% take friends and family there for a fun night out! Rating 4.5 stars. Had a kids bowling party and it was a success. The kids had a blast and ordering food from them made it easy for the host. We could bring in outside food and the room fit us all but our party group was small. The facility seems well ventilated which made my breathing good as another bowling alley I had to leave because shoe spray was horrible to my lungs. I will say that parking sucks at Chinook but I was warned by this place to give extra time to find parking. The place is outdated but maintained. I wish this place offered glow in the dark bowling for the party but having the bumpers up helped the kids. Birthday kiddo and guests having fun is what it is about. All kids liked their pizza.

If I could give them a no star I would. My daughter is menatally challenged and because she is barely 9 they would not put the ball rail guards. finally, after saying we will just get our money back he said they would put them up. Accidentally, she knocked one over so we asked the guy if he could put up a guard again, and very rudely he replied no. We further explained this to the gentleman who works at the front desk, which I replied oh well that's the rules here. Worst place ever do not waste your money on this bowling place. This place has been here for decades and is a good place to bowl for teenagers and adults but they do not have ramps for little children under five basically. Facility wise, it's more modern then some of the locations in the city. If you're looking for a place to take your little children, check out toppler bowling.

We hosted our son's birthday party here and it was fantastic. I found they were more reasonably priced than a lot of the other bowling alleys and every kid goes home with a free game of bowling for next time. Everyone I talked to on the phone was super helpful and friendly. Getting the bowling started was organized and efficient. The party room was set up and ready to go and the staff took care of the cleanup. The bowling alley itself is nice and clean. The kids had a blast! Thanks to the team at Chinook Bowladrome for making the party a success.
