We had a group of 20 plus adults n kids for a birthday party taking over 6 lanes. Everything was fine up until we decided to order some beer for the adults. To not mix it up with where the kids were having food in one of the private rooms, we decided to keep the alcohol outside in the common area by the bowling lanes. We stepped away to attend the cake cutting for a few mins and by the time we came back, approx 5 mins, the beer had already been cleared off the table! Really?!? A near full pitcher removed when you know we just bought it! We approached the staff about this and all they could say was "oh well, you should have taken it with you". Good to know what to expect for customer service when you have just spent hundreds of $$$ in rentals, food and drinks! Shameful!

I didn't even get through the door to this establishment. However I did call to ask about reserving a bowling time and I can honestly say that I will not ever step foot in that place based on the horrible customer service I got on the phone, up to and including hanging up on me without even finishing the call. I definitely would not give nor recommend giving my or your business to such a rude business. From my short conversation with whichever woman answered the phone I can tell that they definitely do not respect that our dollars support their lives and business. Horrible, I wish I could give less stars

Good place for family to have fun. There are 25+ lanes. The Staff are friendly, good options to have snacks, pizza, etc...Family can easily spend 2 to 4 hours easily, especially in winter it's a good venue to have good indoor fun.

The bowling alley is ok. We had seniors with us so we asked for the rails to be put up. The old guy at the counter said he can't because I don't have a kid with me and it's only for kids. He justified saying that I might damage the rails as I bowl harder than a kid. Then in the lane next to us they had a kid but the adults were still hitting the rails. I asked the old guy at the counter how this made sense and he said "well you just need to have a kid with you" I would recommend they revisit this policy for seniors.

We did a team event of 15 folks at their new location last month. The staff was very professional, the location new and clean, and the pizzas ordered for the team tasted great. We highly recommend Bowling Depot if you are looking for cheap, quality entertainment, especially with kids.

Went here for a previous bowling tournament with Shamrock Lanes. The alley itself was really modern, and had a good atmosphere. The employees are decent at this location. The lanes were in great shape to bowl on. The only thing I didn’t like was how the spectator area was lower than the actual lanes. It didn’t make sense because most of the time your view of the bowlers were obstructed by coaches.

They turned us away abruptly due to a school field trip coming within a couple of hours. This visit was about a month ago. I had looked online before visiting to ensure it was a "public bowling" time. It was in the mid afternoon in the middle of the week. I am always thorough about these things as I assume there are at times potential senior leagues during the week. I had my two kids with me and we were looking to play one game. I was put off due to being told the school was not coming for a couple of hours and yet we could not be accommodated. I have raised my review to three stars as I realize it is not fair for me to judge the entire business after my interactions with one individual, and I will probably check them out again.

Some of the equipment looks in disrepair, which is certainly a bad look for such an autonomous business as this. However, you can't really get the pins and the lanes wrong, so it's still a good experience, just not the best.

We came in for our work Xmas gathering. The younger male that works there was extremely rude, when we kindly asked him to take our photo. He abruptly answered “no” and walked away. We spent almost $300 and you can’t even take one photo of us?! He for-sure shouldn’t be working in customer service. We’ll remember that for next time and spend our money somewhere else.

We had so much fun here! The two ladies working the desk were both super nice, the place is licensed if you want to have a beer and the people beside us ordered pizza and it looked so good! Celebrated my sons birthday here and it was a great, stress free experience. I arrived early with cake and decorations and the room was all set up and ready for us to use. We had everything needed to order the kids personalized pizza and drinks. The staff assisted us in entering the kids names and they were able to play as soon as everyone arrived. Once we were done playing, the food was in our room. Food tasted great, drinks were full and everyone was very happy! Thanks for the great customer service!! Will definitely come back!!

Staff are great, very accommodating. Food was decent. Reason I'm not giving full marks is we had my son's 5th birthday party here and was disappointed that the party room looked more like the interrogation room in a cop shop than something to celebrate a birthday in. I called to ask about decorations and was told they have white plates so will go with any theme we choose. Yeah, they were white plates all right - white styrofoam! For the price charged we were hoping for something a bit more upscale than that. We will definitely return to Bowling Depot for bowling itself but won't do another birthday party there.

Poor planing makes this place frustrating. Not enough places for coats and shoes, not enough seating for family during events. Staff not always friendly or helpful. There are like 5 other bowling places all about 30 min or less distance from here. Just saying you have options if you want.

Kids bowl free is such a great idea. Children under 12 and up to 4 adults in the family bowl free for 2 games per session all summer! The whole alley is clean and well maintained, shoes off at the door is a great policy! Washrooms are clean and not stinky. After 6pm is blacklight bowling which is great. Easy to get to and ample parking because all the other businesses in this area are closed during peak bowling times.

Pizza isn't as good since they moved. Location is very much out of the way, how do they still get business? We went for glow bowling and there was no music, no glow, it was just a little dark. Then the drinking crowd came in and we couldn't hear a thing, and THAT'S when the music came on. Not a great experience.

Glow bowling the recent friday was nothing to be excited about. No music the entire 2 hours we were there PLUS it was quite expensive. Although the older gentlemen cashier was very nice. Will be trying other bowling alleys.

Haven't been bowling in a while and it was really frustrating. Asked if we could get the bumpers put up but were told that it was only available for children even though the teens near us had them up. It is not fun when the ball is always in the gutter. Next time I will go somewhere else.

Large bowling centre with over 20 lanes. The kids bowl free program is great and bumpers and mini bowling are available. Includes a pro shop and food store. Shoe rental is mandatory. Great place to hangout with friends and family.

I would recommend going to Bestbuy purchase yourself a wii and play bowling at home and save yourself from the misery of playing here. OR go to a actual bowling alley who are more organized!

Pepperoni pizza was horrible the pepperoni was grey and tasted sour. When i said something she just kinda laughed and said maybe it's because it just came out of the freezer this morning. Our lane wouldn't register a strike a lot of the time. The screen would get stuck a lot and after using the help button it still took a while so we went to ask for help and they cut us off and were rude about it. will not be back

We had my granddaughters birthday party at the bowling depot. 20 six year olds, 3 - 3 year olds and the adults all bowling. The place was nice and clean. The staff were amazing. They guided us and made suggestions. It was such a relief that they were on top of things. Really made us at ease. Great experience and would definately go back. My only concern was that the party room was too narrow. I found out that there is a partition between party rooms that can be taken down for the future. But a little more width would be better. Terrible service! It was supposed to be thunder alley, but we were placed right in front of the door instead of on the empty lanes where it was actually dark. Then the employees looked annoyed that we asked for a different shoe size. After playing one game, we had asked the get the bumpers out up but were told that only children under 10 were allowed to use them. Which is such a stupid rule! Definitely won't be back.

Brought our youth group here tonight and were displeased with the service we received. Though over the phone they were very accomoidating when booking lanes, when we arrived it was a different story. We payed for an hour of bowling instead of per game, little did we know that our hour started before we even received our shoes. We ended up only getting to play about forty-five minutes, and their system wouldn't even allow us to finish our frame. The employees were also quite rude and some of the balls had large chips in them. We will not be coming back.

For a bowling alley in Calgary, the lanes are decent enough and so is the food, if not a touch pricey. The elderly staff running the place tend to be rather overbearing and not very welcoming. I base my low rating on my experience with the staff on multiple visits and feel there are better bowling alleys to visit, if you're wanting a good time.

Was not very pleased about our most recent experience.. Called at 9:45pm to ask if they were open & if they were busy. Was told that they were open until 11pm and that they had lanes available. We arrived at 10:10pm a group of 5. We were not even greeted with a hello the first thing the cashier at the desk said was "uh we close at 11" he made the five of us split up between two lanes and we finished our games in 15 minutes. We could have easily played another game and his facility could have made another $50.00.. Then while we played our game he stood at the front desk and stared at us the entire time we played. Do not say you're open until 11pm when you're going to treat customers as if they are an inconvenience. Definitely will not be recommending or returning to this bowling alley.

It is good place the kids to have fun. Big downside is that prices are expensive compare to any other bowling place in Calgary even with the specials that the owner always refers to. At the end it is just a bowling place and the prices need to be corrected.

The facility is nice and spacious, but the price is steep for what it is. Bowling. We rented two lanes and had technical issues with both. There's other bowling places that give you the same amenities for a cheaper price and no issues.

It's ok. Went there with work and we had drinks and pizza but you can't eat your food or have a drink on the lanes. I'm not a fan of leaving a drink on a table away from the bowling lane. We also wanted to get a group photo and one of the guys were very rude when we asked so another lady took our photo.

I do not recommend coming to this bowling alley, the employees were extremely rude. They kept pestering us about keeping the floors clean and stood there waiting for us to walk away. They also complained that wearing our regular shoes was ruining their floors even though we were leaving and the lady kept saying "you're ruining our floors" as we kept saying we are leaving the bowling alley. The game was fun but unfortunately the employees ruined our experience and I do not recomend anybody to visit this bowling alley and especially do not bring your kids here.

Thought we would have a family outing and take all the kids bowling for some fun. Well the bowling for them was the only highlight. Dale wasn't very friendly to begin with. With ten of us were looking to see if there was some sort of deal to be offered. Dale said no deal unles you printed it off from our website. And if showing it in our phone was enough very shortly replied nope. We asked if he had a hand printer no problem I'll print it off. He proceeds to tell me they don't have internet at the bowling alley. After all this okay no big deal trying to get shoes seemed to be a chore for him as well. Hey I get it if you don't like you job then quit. At least pretend like you care about the customer. This will be the last time we drop a couple hundred dollars here.

A very cheap looking bowling centre. There was a line up out the door, shoes all over the place right when you get in and not enough staff to handle what was going on. The atmosphere in there is not comfortable. The one star is there because it is a bowling alley that you can bowl at.

Bowled with a friend and our kids. One staff member was quite rude and impatient with our kids and yelled at us for our kids behaviour. I felt like they were annoyed with our presence. Yes our kids were not quiet and walked around but they are 2 and 4 year olds and were having a great time. They were not screaming or throwing tantrums just cheering each other on and playing. Made the experience less enjoyable. Maybe don’t have kids bowl free if you don’t like kids?!

I had reserved and been here once before with a special needs child at which time I mentioned that I have lots of clients and we would be coming back lots. I showed up today with another of my special needs children only to be told if I do not call and reserve a lane I have to pay full price. It's not like the place was busy they were using maybe 8 of 24 lanes. When I told the lady at the counter that I had talked to them last time I was there and no one mentioned the requirement to reserve or pay full price she was indifferent. It cost me 9 dollars for a 6 year old to bowl one game and as his Aid I had to pay for shoes. We left and went to Chinook where the staff was amazing, we played 2 games for 10 dollars and they did not charge me for my shoes because I was only aiding a child and not playing. When we left they gave my little guy a dinosaur tattoo and he was over the moon excited! I am afraid we will not be back!

I booked a birthday party for my son, we had 13 kids in total and 8 adults..everyone had fun. $25 per kid..included 3 bowling lanes, 1hr of bowling, party room, small pizza for each kid and pop, they also provided a lollipop, bag of chips and a balloon for each kid. Everyone had fun, kids and adults. Already I have had 3 moms ask me about the package and they all thought it was worth it. Small issues with a few of the pizzas which they rectified immediately with no hassle and apologized for it as well. It was a great experience all around and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you to everyone at Bowling Depot for making my son's birthday a great success!!

Excellent Bowling alley. We are regular customers every week on Thursday nights . Food is good. Lanes are cleaned and kept . I like this place.
