Played for an hour and the lane broke literally 7 times. We had to wait 10 minutes at one point for the lane to be fixed. I will say they did help when asked, but the setup they have wastes too much time and isn’t a good business model.

Very decent place for fair priced bowling. Taking off one star for a couple of reasons: location is inconvenient, system is relatively older and sometimes more faulty that one would like, equipment is aging. However facility and workers are great, they have available lockers and plenty of space in general. Make sure to book if plenty of people are expected. It can get busy at times.

This is a extremely busy and loud place not suitable for kids during the evening. We went last Saturday and had 3 lane plus the package deals the pizza was pretty lousy however the wings and ribs were not bad. I would have give this a 2 or 3 stars however zack at the bartender was very fast, friendly and Effiecent that’s the only reason why 4 star was awarded.

Gone bowling there for tournaments multiple times and it's a great bowling alley. The pizzas are good and under $20. Has both 5 and 10 pin lanes.

I was given very bad survives at this place the first day I came all of there lines were broken and we had to change lines 6 times did not enjoy that at all we’re doing amazing and they decided to clear our record and turn off the lines because of our skin colour (she said in in our face) the next day we decided to give them another chance but today and she was very rude today I definitely will not come again and don’t think u should either

Clean site and helpful staff. The kids bowl free program is legit and lots of fun. Register your kids and get 2 free games every day. You just cover the shoe rental. For parents waiting around or playing you can order alcohol from the brew pub or drink the usual major bottled/can brands. Cosmic bowling at night is pretty cool as well.

Good place, clean, fun to play. Drinks are unlimited refills (per pitcher) but cost $10 so be careful that you get your moneys worth. Very busy so plan to have dinner before playing etc. Good way to spend an evening with others.

me and my friends were gona play this sunday, and my friend tried tomake bookings on friday, she was told “someone” will call back to book the lanes for us, but nobody did. when she called agin today, she was told its too late to book because they have a policy which u have to book 3 days in advance. The staff and manger was not very polite, and kepts on giving not so great attitudr. They made mistakes on our booking and did not even apologize and tried to blame us on that! I cannot believe someone would run business like this! i miss the old Zone.

Good after-hours bowling experience with company and coworkers. Very loud and noisy environment typical of such establishment. Food was above-mediocre but the hot wings and tater tots were at least very good. Pizza is very thin and often burnt in the crust, would advise against it.

Great price, but could've done a better job with social distancing as each lane right beside each other was open, so I was basically right beside strangers. Also they didn't seem to have a lot of smaller ball sizes, so that was disappointing.

Giving it two stars for the number of problems we had. First, the lane we were given was missing a pin, so 10 pin was actually 9 which was weird and confusing. Then the ball dispenser was not dispensing and the lane was just eating the bowling balls, so the staff finally moved us to another lane. THEN while we waited 20 minutes or so for them to figure it out, our game ended after the hour we had paid for was up and we had only bowled 7 of our 10 rounds (which had also even been carried over from the previous lane). They didn't extend the game despite their own technical difficulties. Very disappointed in my experience here and I will be sure to warn people in the future from coming. Also the AC was mild at best for the hottest day in recorded Canadian history.

Really really really really large space. The lanes were accessible and the service was quick. The music was very lively , some old school reggae throwbacks. The food arrived quickly and it was delicious. The promotions are usually good too and if you're a drinker , they do offer drink specials. Crazy environment with a twist for some good fun bowling.

Great social place to go hang out with friends or family. They've lowered the price since taking over from the Zone so it's only $17 for 2 games and shoe rental for Saturday afternoon. My only big issue is that they don't enforce any rules or advise people of proper bowling etiquette. We were playing 5 pin and were constantly having to wait for the kids in the adjacent lanes to get out of way. They would pile up in the bowling area and climb on the ball dispenser or run back and forth while we were trying to bowl. The parents weren't telling their kids to stop but it's also the job of the staff to make sure the customers are safe. Having people not bowling in the bowling area is dangerous.

I love this location's prices and system. You cant beat the prices at Lucky 9 Lanes and the older equipment gives the place a fun and nostalgic feel. It is super fun, and very accommodating. They have tons of balls to use, and the places bright colors really give it a great atmosphere. The only thing they need to improve is the bathrooms, as they are run down and need repairs and an update.

Great place to take teens. The kids enjoyed 5 pin bowling, especially cosmic bowling which they have on Fridays and Saturdays after 6pm.There is 10 pin bowling too. Making reservations was easy via their website. They also have food for kids and beer for adults.

Will not come back. Lanes were terrible. The balls would get stuck or the pins would take forever to reset. Always have to press the reset button. Lane broke down several times, had to wait for someone to fix it and service was slow. Lack of lightweight balls; abundance of balls in the 13-15 range. Not very fun as well when you have to stand off to the side to drink as someone is constantly checking up on you to ensure you're not drinking alcohol on the carpet area. Go to Revs instead.

1st we were put on a broken lane. Then, they moved us 10 lanes farther without helping us to move our foods and stuff. Then after 1 game, my daughter wanted to play some more but then when we asked them for another round, they told us that we need to move again because there were reservation for a party of oldies that'll include our lane. When the party arrived, they didn't even occupied our place. Never going back!

Staff were very kind and friendly. There are efficient by how there are multiple at the front desk so they make the payment and picking your shoes quick instead of waiting on one staff member to do everything. I also like how they leave a lane in the middle of everyone empty due to being respectful for personal space. The lanes, washroom and bowling balls were clean.

Had a really poor experience at this place. The keyboards for the computers were broken so we basically couldn't type our names into the computer properly, the ball return and pin-setting machines kept breaking down and the customer service was argumentative, snobby, and out to lunch. Speaking of lunch, the food was a mess. Got fed up with it all and got our money back and left. Go to Surrey, Burnaby or Vancouver for a better bowling experience. I miss The Zone...

Stepping in here is like walking back in time 20-30 so years. They have the big bulky CRT screens for keeping track of scores, and the decor really exclaims 80s and 90s style. It hardly feels like it's in a state of decay though, the service is very fast and very friendly. We came on a Sunday afternoon where there was a tournament going on but were still able to get a lane within 10 minutes. All the lanes were well oiled, balls were plenty available, ordered food and it was delivered to our table. The only problem we had was our pinspotter malfunctioned twice and the staff had to manually reset it. Also our pin counter was kind of glitchy but it didn't really bother us. I would certainly come back if I was in Vancouver again!

Played bowling at this place earlier today and they were extremely busy. So me and my friend were on wait list, and when we asked how long, we were told they don’t know as some people may add some games after they done. It’s all normal and cool. But when we finished our game and we wanted to add a game, we were told they already sold it to other people, We were like excuse me??? And those people were already waiting after our lane, and front desk said we need to told them earlier. Then how much earlier? Apparently they sold the lane even before we finish the game. And if there is rule about when to add extra game, shouldn’t they tell upfront?? Very disappointed as this is the only bowling place in Richmond and we bowl here a lot, We will try to find other bowling alley in Vancouver even it is far away.

Add-on after reading the reply from the owner: What you said is just part of the story. You just avoided mentioning your staff's mistake AGAIN just like your manager. I was not aware of your booking policy. According to your staff over the phone my booking request is not late and I should expect a call back from your staff to confirm it. I don't care whether it is your training or management problem. But it WAS a mistake of your staff and your manager did not even mean to apologize and cut me off which is very unprofessional and rude. She apologized just because I asked her to. Her attitude is not nice at all and it was not even my mistake. It was not a misunderstanding it was your staff's mistake and refusal to admit it! I really think you should have more custom service training to your staff.

The staff is neither friendly nor professional. We were standing in line (no one was in front of us) for 10 minutes, because the cashier decided to pick up some $5 change from the back. There is no problem with it at all, if you inform the next in line that "I'll be back in a second" or something. They just really don't care. The bowling lanes are fine, we had some technical glitch and the mechanic came to fix it reasonably fast.

I took it back and they replaced it with lager, which I appreciated even though I don't like lager. But there was definitely something wrong with the beer today!

Place seems quiet and clean, liked the option for 5 and 10 pin, plus restaurant attachment. Night was marred by the bowling software freezing repeatedly midgame requiring service and then a lane change, the restaurant and bar attachment being closed (all signs around the alley said otherwise), lanes inexplicably opening and closing (we were told no 10 pin that night, 30 minutes later we look over to see public playing 10 pin, assuming 10 pin was booked %100 and they just misspoke?), and a bit of understaffedness leading a long period sitting around trying to get help. Feels like it could have been an off night, but then I probably won't give it a second chance after all that.

Other than the fact shoes are mandatory to rent, it's a decent place. Things are fairly clean and organized. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our bowling lane’s lights went out and the screen froze. The staff just moved us to another lane and transferred the scores as well so we don’t miss anything.

Did not enjoy showing up today at noon to find out every lane was reserved for the next 2 hours - not only did the person at the front desk not give a crap but 1/2 the lanes were not being used when we were there. Book up 100% of your business, what about walk in traffic ?? Would have been nice if someone told us this might happen when we called earlier to confirm they were open for business. Not cool.

People are not wearing mask inside the building. Check with the staff. They said it is ok not wear mask in the bowling area because it is considered the play area or something. But they do have a sign saying wear mask at all time. Also there is no social distancing.. usually they will skip a lane to create the distance.. but they put someone next to us. I check with them again and staff said there is no other lane available. So they need to put them next to us. If no lane available, can't they wait until there is one available? Additional information. Thank you to the manager who did make an arrangement so that my family is away from others. I did read from the link. It said Common areas of sport and fitness centres when not engaged in physical activity. The run way should be included as physical activity area, but how about the sitting area behind the computer? Is that a common area? Anyway, I hope everyone stay healthy. Changed the star from 1 to 3 Thank you

This was our first time going to Lucky 9 Lanes. When you enter the building it looks closed. It is really dark from the outside but it is open so walk on in! When you get in there is a arcade area with air hockey. It accepts cash only. It is a really big location with 5 pin and 10 pin. When you walk up to the counter they ask you how long you want to bowl (e.g. 1 hour) ask for your shoe size and payment. They let you know the lane. I wish they asked us if we wanted 5 or 10 pin. The 10 pin balls were way to big for my child. When we get to our lane we entered our names in the computer and waited for the balls to come....they didn't! The time had started but we had no balls to play with. We went up to the counter to ask and we needed to pick up our own balls from beside the counter where we paid. We didn't know what ball was suited for us so we grabbed the first ones there. All the ladies in our group broke there nails and some to the point of bleeding. Overall the bowling was fun but I wish the staff told you where to pick up the ball, recommend the right ball for you, and suggests 5 bin or 10 pin depending on your team.

Ive been bowling here many times and every time the lanes randomly turn off or something else goes wrong. Its not worth the headache. we waited over 10 minutes to get help today and the times before. I've never received any sort of compensation while our minutes are being deducted as we wait to be serviced, except for today. I was thankful that they put the time we were waiting to get the lane fixed back on to the game but that never happens and I had to ask them to do it. - maybe they should at least pause the time while waiting to be fixed if you're playing hourly? I don't know if I'll be coming back. I thought the first 3 times were maybe just bad luck but doesn't seem like it.

The house is generally a friendly environment and one that more works to bring in more bowlers rather than focusing on corporate accounts like most of the other houses in the lower mainland. The manager and pro shop go out of their way to make events fun. I would highly recommend it.

My usual go to place to bowl! Booked a reservation there recently and the staff were friendly and accomidating. Lanes are nice and conditioned, and its a perfect activity to do after watching a movie or swimming at watermania next door. Only thing missing is the pub food :(

Great service lanes are nice and glow in the dark bowling what a bonus. On tap the in house brewery delivers a variety of fresh great tasting beer. If you order an appy or so it will come right to the table in the lane you are bowling in before you know it how convenient.

I'm thinking of reasons to give them less stars but I can't. I've taken my family to Lucky 9 Lanes multiple times the last year. We even hosted a kids party this last March. Each time the service was great and the everything looked clean. There's a mini arcade at the entrance that's always nice to see. I would definitely bring my wife here for date night or a night out with the boys. Take my money!
