I recently took my wife and 5 kids toLangford lanes, it was a fantastic experience! The new owners and staff are the polar opposite of the last owners.I would highly recommend families to this bowling alley. Thanks Gerry for setting us up so quickly on the reservations.

The food is alright, but the bowling is of course what you're really here for. And, it's great! I had lots of fun. They offer special 'slides' for young kids to roll the balls on, making it a great experience and place to go for all ages. Make sure to do an over the top celebration if you get a strike or any good shot, as it adds to the fun ;p

Fun spot for bowling and beers. I attended a work party here, and it was a great time. The lanes are fairly new, and the whole place has a great retro vibe. Being able to have beer and food at the lanes is a really nice touch. It was a little on the pricey side, but still great for events.

Great place if you want to go bowling. Has a really fun atmosphere and theres games there too if you want to take a break but still have fun. There is a bar and restaurant both have great service that is very fast and very professional. We had our work party there and we had everything from experienced bowlers to beginners, everyone had fun.

We arrived Feb 13th 2019. A Wednesday night at 630, discussed with the lady at the till that we would pay for one game and walk out to pay for another if we felt like staying. And we did! Walked to pay for our next round maybe minutes after finishing. Discovered we had been kicked and they were now fully booked . No room for ya to play. Awkwardly before doing this, we had ordered drinks. And as I wrote this, we are sitting in a corner finishing our $10 ciders, because of no communication about booking more games beforehand to save this from happening etc. Disappointed. Seems like the approach could be improved.

Food was very good, staff was friendly and helpful. Went on a Friday night and it was $5 wings, bowling, and beer. Not sure if that's every Friday or if this was a special occasion. Staff was attentive, but didn't hover. Had some problems with the lane (mainly scores not registering periodically), but issues were resolved very quickly. Overall a great time.

We found the Family VIP lounge to be way over priced for the service provided. Our first time trying the lounge we brought chips and candy for the kids to enjoy but we're met by a manager in a neck mask not hospitable at all when discussing no food rules. I asked what the VIP meant if we are not allowed to bring in some snacks? He told us private lanes and private bar service. Our server was hardly available to us, then rude to us in regards to changing the keg when I went looking for my beverage. She sat it and snapped at me. We ordered pizza!! Hands down amazing pizza. The video games are loonies and quarters but the change machine only gives loonies. We lost change in the machines. Had to track down staff again to get quarters as noone was at the desk. For 2 adults and 3 kids 7 and 10 we spent 220.00 for 2 hrs of bowling and pin ball machines and pizza and drinks. Over all the service prior to arrival was amazing. Onsite service needs improvement. Especially when balls get stuck and none seems to know how the different types of bowling games in the digital screens even work. Not sure if we will go back.

My family and I were enjoying a fun night at Langford lanes until my father was confronted by a security guard for having a clear water bottle with him. My father has dry mouth as a result of battling throat cancer. The radiation completely destroyed his salivary glands, so he has to have water with him at all times. He told the security guard the reason why he needed the water bottle, but she told him Langford lanes has lots of water if he wants some, and that he could not have the water bottle in the bowling alley. Due to the nature of his disease, it is crucial that he has access to water when he needs it. He simply cannot rely on a server to bring him water on a consistent basis, and he also does not want to be an inconvenience to the server by needing water on a regular basis. Being that it was a long weekend, it was very busy in there, and as a result, service was quite slow. This was not the fault of the servers and they did the best they could. Langford Lanes management, please be more flexible to customers who have special circumstances. I understand that you have rules with regards to bringing your own drinks into the building, but I would hope you would understand that this was a unique situation that could have been handled with a bit more empathy.

Just want to say we had our company Christmas Party at Langford Lanes last night. It was fantastic! Everything was set up before we arrived, food was incredible and the service was #1 (Thanks to Alex and the young lady that were assigned to our party) The only downer was that the Duncan Shop staff beat the Langford Shop staff in the bowling.........

It is a cool place to go and the last bowling lanes on the lower part of the island. It can get extremely busy especially on Friday and Saturday nights so be prepared for a bit of a wait. Also its nice if you have to wait you can sit at the bar for a drink or a snack while you wait.

I have bowled at a lot of places and this one is not on my return to list. We had a gal come and take our food or drink order which was nice but food was very basic and expensive. We purchased a gift certificate valued at $600 with all proceeds going to local charity (local kid's hockey team) and we called to schedule the VIP lanes but were refused as we were past the expiry date. No flexibility or grace offered by Langford Lanes. This reflects poorly on them.

The first two times they were fully booked so we attempted to make a reservation, no reservations on weekends (we called Thursday) show up Saturday early afternoon and it's busy, hour wait which is reasonable but you have to stay on premises with no call option ....

Long waits here for a lane but for a good reason. The lanes are well maintained and electronic scoring makes bowling fun and easy for beginners. The pizza was some of the most amazing pizza I've had in Victoria.

Make reservations, it makes it easier. One hour and a half seems to be plenty for a group of 4 and there is food and drinks onsite that are descent and not crazy expensive. There isn't much of a difference between the VIP lanes and the regular ones, in my opinion.

Went in with my family 5 kids for the promotion for summer bowling after calling the day before to clarify all the details of the promotion and was told no we couldn't have the promo but told us we could pay full weekend rate. We ask to talk to management as we were not getting any where with the staff member at the front counter. She wasn't helpful either. Not very customer service oriented and very rude. If your going to have staff that answer phones they need to have the correct information to give out on the phone. All the staff should know the details of the promos as well. I won't go back .

Always a fun time with friends! We got pitchers of beer and paid to play two games rather than by the hour. Took us an hour and a half to get through a couple games. There is VIP section that you can pay extra for and there are couches and "table service" with its own bar but we weren't in there and we had table service as well. Friendly staff! The pizza was soooooo good! Highly recommend!

Our server Amy was happy to also provide the inside restaurant menu in addition to the patio menu. We chose from both menus and had a superb feast using her recommended favourites. We were gobsmacked that the patio tacos were so affordable...so we tried them all, plus prawn skewers and mac and cheese bites. This was our first visit but we'll definitely be back and I'll try to add some photos before we eat everything! Hahaha ????

Exciting activity in Langford for the whole family. You can order food while you play and they will bring it to your table. It is fully licensed, and you may also have your beverage at the table with you. In the evening they have glow-in-the dark (blacklight) bowling. They have balls of many varying weights and finger hole sizes - perfect for kids or the thinker fingered folks out there.

It was happy hour, the food was good, the kids' meals were included in the bowling price, the service from everyone was excellent (we even felt comfortable asking someone more than once to retrieve the gutter bowls that kept getting stuck...the kids don't throw hard enough). COVID protocols are in place, so bring your big voice to talk through the mask, when not at your partitioned private lane, as it's a bowling alley, so it's noisy. The only problem...my burger was sooo big, it was almost impossible to eat. :D Look at this delicious-mess. ;)

Langford Lanes is Victoria's only ten pin bowling lanes. Located in City Centre Park. The Bowling Lanes are hugely popular so it can be really busy. Make a reservation so that you're not disappointed. There are 14 Lanes and 6 VIP Lanes. Choose from light or heavy bowling balls. You can order food and bar services from City Centre Grille restaurant which is attached. Local Craft beer is available. Modern, electronic score board. Great facility.

Staff hadn't recorded our reservation and told us the incorrect amount due for the private section we reserved, so finances were more than anticipated for the group. After the mistake we casually waited an extra half hour overtop of the hour were expecting due to their error. After hearing of the wait, we went into the restaurant for food. The server was very friendly and quick, but stated twice that a certain meal was safe for one of our guests to eat, only to run back and state that it wasn't. Mistakes happen, but the server should not have confirmed the safety of the food without actually knowing. Nothing was offered to compensate for their error in time and price of bowling until the birthday girl requested compensation for the errors to make up for the difference in cost. At this point free shoe-rentals were thrown in to make up the difference. The tables and lanes were clear and the staff was friendly. The two out of three lanes bugged up, but the problem was fixed promptly. All in all, we had a nice time, but the visit could have been much more fluid.

Went there last night for the first time with a few chums and we didn't know what to expect. While we had a good time bowling, the highlight of the night had to be the dapper, finely dressed gentleman who served us. His wit and candour was refreshing to say the least, and we wish that every establishment that we visit had someone like this running things. Our experience with him was so enjoyable that we didn't care that the pin ball machines ate our money.

We had our staff party there and I don't think we'll be going there again. The staff complained that we had too many lanes, despite the fact that we had reserved for 50+ people (of course we're going to need lots of lanes). We never got the wings we ordered but still paid for them and when we asked to be reimbursed we were told that the wings were served and we wouldn't get a refund. The food sounds great on the menu but in actuality it's all frozen food just warmed in an oven. Altogether not a pleasant experience but the bowling was fine.

I didnt bowl but just checked it out after watching a hockey game. It really seems the City of Victoria has dropped the ball as far as providing venues for descent family entertainment and Langford has picked it up. The place was full and everyone looked like they were having a good time. Music, lights, pub style restaurant and pool tables. I was very impressed. I didnt check out the prices though. I am sure my kids would have enjoyed spending some time there with their friends.

I would like for you to recognize Morea. She literally saved our night. We had a bowling reservation at 9pm and we arrived at 7 to get something to eat. We are met at the front door by overwhelmed servers who basically tell us they are too busy and likely won't have a table for us at all. We are told go wait at the bar in the bowling alley where we again are greeted by a very overwhelmed server. He was unbelievably rude to us. He comes up and says his bartender is overwhelmed by a party of 40. He is taking our order and he tells us we cant have a pint of Canadian because it comes from the restaurant and we should have a bud instead and before everyone in our party could order he ran away. At this point we had been there for an hour and still had no drinks. We get called into the restaurant where again we sat for another 20 minutes before any servers come acknowledge us. When Moreau seen this she came immediately over to help us and apologized to us. She took our orders and made us feel welcomed there. She saved the day. The food was absolutely amazing and we started to enjoy ourselves. Then came time to bowl... we again were told to go wait at the bar after checking in and get our shoes. They will call us when the spot is available. We go way past our start time when we notice our clock is ticking and our table was actually ready but no one said anything... we paid for 20 minutes to wait at a bar. We bowl an entire game before we finally get fed up and go straight to the bar to grab a server who is so grumpy at our existence that it made us feel so uncomfortable.we finally get a round of drinks but the server was unbelievably rude. You need better staff who actually care. What a joke.

Went to go bowling with my 3yr old nephew and family for my dad's birthday. Tried to make a reservation weeks prior and was told we couldn't but it shouldn't be a problem. Arrived at 6:30pm to find a 1 1/2 hour wait list with 8 lanes sitting empty. Was told upper management had reserved those lanes. Obviously they don't want paying customers, ruined my dads birthday and dissapointed a 3 yr old.

Meh; it's a generic modern bowling alley. Common synthetic lanes which lacks the variance of real wood along with a vanilla atmosphere. Also far too expensive. I wouldn't likely choose to bowl here again. Their house equipment is garbage; perhaps I would have had more fun if I could have had my own though if I'm ever on the Island again and feel like bowling I'll go to Duncan.

Service is good, especially the managers, they really make you feel that they value your patronage which is a rare thing these days. Honestly if anyone is looking for COVID conscious activities, I cannot recommend City Centre Grille & Langford Lanes enough! My 5 year old and I had a bowling date last night. There was plexiglass separating every group, and each lane had an assigned server (NOT just VIP) to ensure minimal foot traffic in the general areas for less possible spread of the virus. Our server (who's name I forgot to get because I'm the worst, but she had a GREAT smile and long dark hair in a ponytail) was SO nice and prompt with everything we ordered. The washrooms were being tended to meticulously, and honestly the food was delicious too! It was so refreshing to do something other than sit at home, and we will DEFINITELY be making this a more regular thing. THANK YOU LANGFORD LANES :)

Went there with friends and family. We had fun, ordered nachos(a little over cooked but ok) staff were all really nice and service was good, however the actual bowling part of it was horrible. If you're a half decent bowler don't expect to enjoy your game. I just about did a header down the lane when I went to "slide" into my shot and stopped dead. I might as well have been wearing my running shoes. My knee still hurts. I though it was just that our lane had something sticky on it and was told about a little carpet thing you rub your shoes on. This did not help at all. Also, the pin setter kept malfunctioning. If you just want to go goof around with friends and have a bunch of money to spend by all means please go but serious bowlers should avoid this place! I will not return or recommend lameford lames until they do something about these terrible bowling lanes!

Gross...absolutely a disgusting dive and non existent service. Extremely dirty! I call ahead to make sure the restaurant part is open. I got there and no service! After waiting 20 minutes and no one came to give me a menu I call again (while I'm seated) and the lady says she will get someone there to serve me. 10 minutes later a last comes by with excuses but serves me. I order wine (she had no idea what sizes they had) and poutine. The nasiest old tasting meal I've ever had! I could taste so much canola oil and it just tasted old, stale and not right. Waited to pay my bill and what do you know, waitress is Mia. Place was filthy too. Soooo nasty I took a pic. What a nasty dive.

Langford Lanes is a great spot for friends and family. As soon as you enter, you get excited to knock down those pins! There is always good music, sports on TV and cheers when you smash through all the pins for a "strike". I took my 3 year old to go bowling last night. They were very busy but gave a an accurate time as to when it would be our turn. The staff at the front were very friendly and accommodating. My partner and I went to Langford Lanes because we thought it would be a COVID-19 safe activity (max 2 adults per lane, plexiglass barriers, bowling balls sanitized between players). It was very disappointing to see that there is a loophole that allows large groups of young 20 somethings to gather maskless in close quarters. The lane next to us had 6 20 year olds, maskless and all sharing drinks and food closely around a table. With the majority of BCs Covid-19 cases being spread by people in their 20s-30s, it is incredibly irresponsible of Langford Lanes to allow groups to gather and spread germs.

We arrived at the lanes hoping for an enjoyable day as we love bowling. Understandably we had to wait 30 minutes. .buy we looked and 8 lanes opened not being used. We got shoved in the VIP room only to find 10 kids on one lane and stepping in our lane. The lane we were on did not work at all and with uncontrollable kids beside us we decided to leave. 3 girls standing behind the counter did nothing to help but stand and look pretty. I asked for our money back and we're told no refunds. We did not BOWL. .so we lost our money and looking into suing for our $45 . What a joke of a business.

Good for birthdays pretty cheap

We came for a fun bowling day with kids. We were greeted in a friendly manner and assigned a lane. We paid for an hour, but the bumpers on our lane were malfunctioning so we spent much of our time, waiting to speak with someone to reset the bumpers. After the fourth time, we asked for the bumpers to remain up. I am not sure why we would be put on a lane with malfunctioning bumpers when we went with young children. I requested a reimbursement for the difference between an hour of bowling and a game since we barely finished our game within the hour. We also ordered food and drink, which was tasty. The person that served us was great. However, when we tried to settle our bill, the manager walked past my sister three times when she was standing at the food counter. She then served a man who walked up to place an order, completely ignoring my sister. We were given free passes, but we are unsure if we will return given the issues we had. And, we will certainly look for another bowling alley the next time we visit the Victoria area.

The place was busy and disorganized. Coffee was served cold in a dirty glass. Food and drinks to way to long 1 hour and 45 minutes for food. Waitress screwed up order and could not remember what everyone had. We paid for two games of bowling and they stopped our games at 1 and a half because they said we only paid for one. 20 minutes to get it worked out. I was there for a friends birthday party and it was just sad.
