Plaza bowl is amazing, they singlehandedly made bowling cool again. Go downstairs and there’s a blast from the past, mint condition old school 5 pin lanes. They have a bunch of great local beers on tap, including a few of our favourites sea change and yellowhead. Always good music and fantastic service, been making the trip over there weekly. 10/10 would recommend!

Super authentic, the staff is friendly and goes out of their way to be helpful, and the food and drinks are reasonably priced with a great selection! I will be back! We booked 2 lanes fairly last minute for my brothers 21st birthday party on a Friday night. We had split lanes and the person on the phone was very upfront and told us that we would have 2 back to back sides, rather than one big loop, which we were totally cool with (we were just happy to find somewhere to celebrate at this point). Friday night came and we all arrived at the bowling alley. We had a mix of ages, from a 9 year old, all the way up to a 66 year old and every single one of us had such a blast. We had fantastic service throughout the night from both the owner, Trevor, to all of staff we dealt with when getting shoes, food, drinks, etc. Each and every one of them were so friendly and really pumped about their jobs. They knew the answers to all of the questions and were so great with the kids. The bowling alley is super retro and original, but has been updated in all the right places. The craft beer selection was top notch and the kids loved the root beer. We had chips and nachos which were devoured in an instant. When we were done our bowling and went to pay, it must have been a huge hassle for them because we had people coming and going, but they were patient and made sure everything was correct for us before leaving. Thank you so much for a great time, we'll be back again soon!

My family enjoyed an extra fun evening at Plaza Bowling tonight! The cost is $15.75 for two games and shoes for adults and $14.70 for two games and shoes for kids. They sell food made by Drift Food Truck, which is extremely awesome because it's some of the best food in the city. I purchased a dish of drift chips with cilantro dip and a craft beer for 12.42 after the tip. I'm hoping to bring my family there again soon!

I like how all the bowling balls match, that brown style was always my favourite for 5 pin balls. Nice atmosphere, great seating, well lite, no pin tangles and very quick resets, one of the best pin arrangement machines I've experienced actually. Lanes have lots of grip, little effort required for a big hook, that being said, very tough to get a repetitive straight shot!

If you’re looking for a unique and friendly space to host your next event I 1000% recommend Plaza Bowling Co. They created a highly personalized night and facilitated a tournament for ~100 of us law students (which is no easy task) in the safest way possible. They created a game schedule, diligently checked every player in, had the best attitude, served great food and drinks incredibly quickly, and were very accommodating with timing. We were happy to support a local family business and everyone had the best time!

Plaza bowl is easily the coolest bowling venue in Edmonton. Retro style furnishings and old school lanes make it feel like you're bowling in the 70s, which is when the place was founded, and it is still owned and operated by the same person. Staff here are always friendly and once stayed open an hour later than their business hours to accommodate our group. Prices are $5 per game which is very cheap. This is a great location for a date!

Trevor has done wonders with this place. Plaza has always been a great place, but bringing in incredible beers and simple but delicious food to the menu has been such a perfect addition. Keep in mind it's easy to keep bowling and drinking and rack up quite a tab but it's always worth it. Terry clearly passed the torch to the most capable and wondeful person. Shoutout to the entire team, the staff are awesome.

The kids and I enjoyed our visit to Plaza Bowl. It's strictly 5 pin. It's not the most modern place but is well maintained. It is quite small and was busy when we were there so it felt a little crowded. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and extremely friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

This is such a cute spot for a low key night out with friends. We came here for a 5-pin bowling tournament and they had The Local Omnivore food truck sitting outside with someone taking our orders right in our lanes. The atmosphere was relaxed, the people were really friendly and it made me feel like I was in a Degrassi High episode! Hahah, awesome place if you've never been!

Cozy, little bowling alley. It's nothing fancy but it's got 16 lanes. Reminds me of my hometown bowling alley. If you want five pin, you'll get it here. Cell reception isn't great, though, as it's below ground.

This place was great. We came here for our kids birthday and the staff were really accommodating and helpful. They gave us the party rate with two lanes unlimited neon bowl with bumpers and a private room for an unbeatable deal. Their regular prices are great too, at about 6 bucks per game it can't be beat. The place was clean, well run, and the staff were very friendly. Definitely coming back.

We hosted our daughter’s 4th birthday party with 12 of her friends and their parents. The Plaza Bowling team were great at helping me organize the event. They opened a little bit early for us to go in just before our start time and get the kids situated. The price was reasonable, the place was clean and comfortable. We were also given the use of their party room to which we were able to bring our own food for the guests. Everyone had a lot of fun and the kids had a great time bowling! We will definitely go back again!

Fun, relaxed place for a game of 5 pin. Retro, it's like stepping back to 1959 except you don't have to keep score on paper as they do have automated score keepers. Great bowling spot, right by NAIT. They have craft beer on tap and a very friendly staff. If you want to bring a Tinder date here, make sure you're prepared to talk about that Neutral Milk Hotel album and how slept on The Money Store is. Food is solid too with a neat selection of different options. However, if you bring a Tinder date here, make sure you avoid the topic of veganism because you might just end up going home and throwing out all that deer steak your buddy Brad brought you after smokin' a buck in '17. Not that I did that, but it could just be a possibility. You never know.

Our company had their Christmas party at plaza bowl. They were amazing to deal with. Super easy to book the function with. We loved that we could get catering in and not have to worry about using in house food service. They took care of all our drinks and gave the staff the drink tickets. We did not have to worry about a thing. I would recommend using them again for a function. It was getting pretty warm at the lanes and the staff were so cooperative and turned on the AC for us. I loved the hospitality and the easieness they presented to us. I would go again for sure.

This place is a cool retro spot with the friendliest staff and reasonable prices in a relaxed, almost totally original setting from the swingin' sixties. We started going during our lunch break while attending NAIT, and found we quickly became fans of its laid back and welcoming owner working behind the counter during the day, and equally accommodating staff at night and on the weekends. We will surely still be visiting even after our time at school has finished, even though it's a drive for all of us. Free parking on the street and you can get lunch at the pub upstairs, as they have great food. Five outta five!!

If you’re looking for a unique and friendly space to host your next event I 1000% recommend Plaza Bowling Co. They created a highly personalized night and facilitated a tournament for ~100 of us law students (which is no easy task) in the safest way possible. They created a game schedule, diligently checked every player in, had the best attitude, served great food and drinks incredibly quickly, and were very accommodating with timing. We were happy to support a local family business and everyone had the best time!

This is what a bowling alley should be! Great prices, nice lanes, well-priced craft brews on tap, basic-but-good food (had a grilled cheese, and it was definitely a premium grilled cheese), and friendly staff. It's also Canadian 5-pin, which is a big plus for me. Much better than those big commercial ones at places like WEM or Rec Room, where I would have paid as much for the lane as what we paid here for a lane, 4 meals, and 2 pitchers. Will be there again! Also had the highest scoring game of my life, which was swell (173)

I wanted to give a review of this bowling alley because of how kind and understanding their staff was to my mom. My mom is deaf and is dependent on lip reading to understand people. She has been struggling with masks obstructing people's faces and muffling their voices during the pandemic. To be honest, I've watch people dismiss or belittle my mom my entire life due to her disability. They have treated her as if she is stupid for asking them to repeat themselves or rolled their eyes when she has misunderstood them. Not the staff at Plaza Bowl. She was greatly struggling to understand the staff (who were behind plexiglass which further obstructed their voices). Once she stated "I am deaf", their staff member came from around the glass to speak with her. Their staff member was so patient and kind to my mom. She also continued to talk with my dad and ask about their trip (they were visiting from NS). I just wanted to say thanks. It was a small gesture, but it truly meant so much. Thank you for your kindness.

Like hopping into a Time Machine and going back to bowling alleys you would go to for birthday parties as a kid. But now with beer. Great spot if you enjoy 5-pin bowling. Super friendly staff and a great selection of Alberta craft beer at reasonable prices. Didn't get food but it looked tasty. It was very busy, so reserving ahead of time is a good idea on weekends.

Fun, relaxed place for a game of 5 pin. Retro, it's like stepping back to 1959 except you don't have to keep score on paper as they do have automated score keepers. Nice selection of craft draft beers. Small but nice food menu (some food is supplied by Drift Food Truck). Get some family/friends together and go bowling now!

Absolutely Fantastic!!!! We had our son’s 6th birthday party at Plaza Bowling. We had four lanes and a party room. The staff were nice, professional and accommodating. We were able to bring our own food, drinks and cake. But they also have drinks, snacks, beer!, coffee and food for purchase. Bowling shoes are so stylish and comfortable. Loved it! Best Bowling establishment to have a children’s birthday party. We will be back for sure! Side note: If your child likes Minecraft the party room is perfect to decorate for a Minecraft party (see photos)!
