If you're looking for somewhere to bowl then this place is a strike to pin a phrase!! The staff is friendly, the lanes are nice and the beer is cheap!! If you have some time to spare head on in to Let's Bowl, it's a ball!! (And yes they have a lot of balls ????)
Nice clean 10 pin bowling with lots of lanes. Didn't get a chance to try the menu but it was pretty extensive.
Clean and the lanes don't break down *every* time I go . Some staff are fine but some have a facial expression reminiscent of angry librarians or your mother in law. Lots of room for eating or playing other games as well.
This is the best bowling place in Calgary. Lanes are not polished too much. Great lanes to spin the ball if your a little more experienced in the game. To top it off they have atomic bowling which is a great way to spend your Friday or Saturday night with glow in the dark bowling and some music! I enjoy coming here, staff is also friendly and will help with anything. Great bowling alley!
machine broke dowm a couple of times during two hours of bowling. staff is helpful.
Very fun place to bowl and friendly service
A great place for 10-pin bowling and it's very lively.
The old man in the counter is not friendly and helpful. The place is ok, but if the employee is like that, his dragging down the business, will not going back again.
Best Bowling place ever! There's a TV to track how many Bowling Pins your knocked down. You can put your name on it. There is also a time that they close of the lights and puts small colorful lights.
First, even though I said that I have 3 year old with me who will just share a turn or two with me or my wife but they made me pay the full rate for him. Second, I requested the side lanes to be closed for my 3 year old and it didn't work for two turns and my wife went back to complaint and they said okay we will do it. Then at the third turn again same thing happened and I went there and told them that it's not working. They said okay we will change your lanes and as the game should have been restarted from the first turn but the just switched it over and we were at the 4th turn now which was very cheap. I found that the place had crowd and beers and alcohol was on the same tables as we were. So my son wanted a beer thinking it is an apple juice and I had to say no multiple times and then obviously being a kid he was cranky. I would suggest them making separate sections or atleast extra tables for sitting and such.
Just went for the first time tonight, this place is great! I read all of the reviews but I like to check places out to make my own judgement and boy am I glad I did! The prices are amazing, the place is clean, lots of lanes, we didn't even have to wait and the staff are so friendly! Every staff member we came across was friendly and chatty. The food was so yummy and such a great price too! We've officially found our new bowling alley! The only thing I think they could improve on would be a better arcade, there isn't enough options in there but that isn't going to keep me away from these lanes! I definitely recommend this place! Bonus: you get 20% off games with your AMA membership (not on nights they do glow bowling though!)
Had fun. Hard time finding light bowling balls and had to wait quiet a while for a lane. Would recommend booking in advance for a weekend or evening.
This is a great gem, frozen in time. Reminds me of when I was a kid and would go bowling with my grandma or have a birthday party at the bowling alley. Which is great. This is why you come here— for that nostalgia and a specific ambiance. The only disappointing thing is that some of the lanes, and supporting technology, haven't worked well the last couple times I've been there. Glitches, needing employee help to fix things, that sort of thing. But the employees have been awesome, funny, and very helpful every time. Good pizza, cheap beer, fun times.
nice place to hangout..lively atmosphere
I would give zero if I could. This is the third time I have been here and the lady at the cashier has been such a racist if I ask her something she would not give me a simple answer but would reply me with a sarcasm. At the same time, there was a white couple and she laughed and talked very politely with them. Upon asking if the dips for the pizza came with an extra charge I was told that “This is not pizza hut. All we have is ranch. It comes with it”. Instead she could have said dips come with it and we have ranch rather than replying with an attitude. Before this we came at 10pm and asked for two games and she told us that “we will not be able to finish the games in an hour as usually one game takes 40 min and we can purchase one later if you finish it ”. We finished our game by 10:30pm and went to purchase one more and were told that the till is closed. We asked her for card payment and that was a very rude NO. We told her how she told us to purchase it later but she did not cared at all. Every time its the same thing with her. The only good experience we had was the first time when an old sophisticated guy helped us. Horrible customer service. I would never go there.
Nice bowling alley. Always super friendly staff. Offer food and beer. Can’t go wrong
Great place to go bowl my friend always has his birthday there every year.
We had a company Christmas party here last year and it was great so I invited my friends last night for my birthday party. Although been hearing comments about racism and staff being rude in this place but ignored until We actually experienced last night. The first guy who assist us was kind but the other guy who was working with Him was very rude, our excitement to play was ruined. The way He talk to a guess is unacceptable. Not just to me but also to my friends who tried to talk to Him. Great place but not welcoming.
All the balls are greasy. It feels like they lube the floor with wing drippings and it gets all the over the balls. My companion who is new to bowling was critized and harrased by the staff for using a ramp and accused of mocking the disabled people in the lane over for use of said ramp. The food tastes like they used the aforementioned grease off the balls to cook all of the food. Likely a health Hazzard
Bowl here each week ... Clean with nice covid protections .... Children and adults can still have fun!
The staff here were very friendly. You can have the bumpers up for children and they can be programmed to come down for adults so you can all play a game together. There are little ramps for kids to roll the ball down. I thought the price was reasonable compared to other places. There's a food kiosk to get coffee, slushies, fast food, etc.
Great spot. Fun for all. They are also licensed and you're allowed to have your beverages at your lanes. Nice little restaurant here as well.. Pizza is decent.. Along the lines of Pizza Hut crust and flavor. This is definitely family oriented. Kids and up
Great place to bowl. Management and staff are great. I would highly recommend this alley if looking for a good night out.
Love the staff and makes a gay league bowling night very comfortable
I would honestly give a zero stars if I could. The staff were very rude and unprofessional! I hate to play the race card, but me and my friends were honestly just trying to have a good time, but the lack of customer service our friends and I were given, ruined our entire experience. One lady who was off duty, pushed by our group and said “excuse me! Paying customer coming through” and when we tried to get her name, the other staff members lied straight to our face saying that she doesn’t work here! Unacceptable! My friends and I are people of color, so it just goes to show that they have a huge racism issue here! Save your money and your time, and go somewhere else where you will actually get some decent customer service!
The food is really good and the bowling is fun too. The only complaint I can think of is that the arcade games should be less then a dollar each.
The bald old white dude was very rude from the moment he walked in. He did not greet us and told my group to walk back to the front doors. Then he checked our vaccination passports which was no problem, however he did not allow one of our friend’s in because he didn’t provide proper ID. Besides that, he was very condescending.
The good: it's clean, plenty of parking, serves beers and pizza hut pizzas, bowling is good. The bad: they don't allow groups to pay individually and so if you're in a big group someone will have to pay and then get the money from everyone else. Pretty tedious in 2019. The staff at the counter were extremely rude. We'll be looking to try another place next time.
I'm one of the many league bowlers and I love this place. The staff are always friendly (if on a league night and they seem short please be aware that they have a lot of extra work on those nights). In my experience, if you give the staff patience and a pleasant attitude you get it back tenfold.
Great vibes, hit or miss customer service. First time we came here, only took a minute for us to be settled into our lane with shoes ready. Next time, had to wait 20 minutes in line even though the place wasn't fully packed, but it seemed like they were either understaffed or ignoring customers.
Super friendly staff and great rates. Always a great time.
First time back since I started a family, but it's the same great experience I remember as a teenager. The lanes are plenty and very well kept. And any issues that arise are taken care of quickly and efficiently and with a smile! The bathrooms are also very clean and well kept. I took my 6 and 3 year old here and was surprised that they had shoes for my little one. They have the ball ramps and 6 lb balls as well for the little guys. Prices are reasonable and was able to play 2 games and spend about 2 hours with the kiddos. What a great experience! There is a good counter that has drinks and snacks foods galore, and a lot of lockers to use as well. Everything was done with a smile and the staff was very polite, even when they were slammed. What a great place to bring the family, and we will definitely come back!
I have had hosted both family and work functions here. On all occasions the staff have been courteous and kind. The only issue we've ever had is at one work function where we dealt with sewer smell the entire time. It was gross but there really is little the owner can do about issues beneath the building.
Went there for late night 10 pin bowling, it was a blast! We got pitchers of beer and the pizza was delicious. The facility is well maintained.
Great venue, great music. $65.00 an hour so a bit pricey for two.. But 6 or more and its well worth it. Licensed. Great staff
Very good place. Relaxing. Awesome staff, very helpful and great service. Bowling definitely helps !
Worst experience I’ve had. Owner and staff are extremely rude and unpleasant! Never felt so unwelcome to a place!!! We were treated like garbage. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place!
I do like the environment, the food was great! Kudos to the staff who make it! But the supervisor or manager who works on Saturday evenings has a large issue with powertripping, and one of the rudest employees I have ever met at a bowling alley. When I went to pay for our games he was short, cold, and extremely rude and dismissive. Later on I watched him send his staff over to collect a 6lb ball from a small disabled girl from a car accident, who explained the other balls were too heavy and hurt her to use. He then took it away from her while she and her other bowling party were away from their table, forcing her to use a heavier ball, and in turn injured herself, and bowled gutter after gutter afterwards. I saw one the people from her table go up to the desk before their next game and asked if something could be worked out as it was hurting her game and her body physically. He was told no, the employee claimed he did not want to get "in trouble" with "his boss". This is absolutely appalling behaviour in my opinion. This guy needs to be fired or demoted, and definitely knocked down a few pegs. There were no kids bowling as it was late Saturday evening and there was no reason she couldn't just use it. We felt like this was prejudice because of her disability. In other words it's just wrong and I wanted to warn anyone else who may have a disability and need to use the 6lb children's bowling ball, don't go when this guy is working!
Nice place we are always going their fir bowling with family, friends sometime had issue bowling setting but that's ok because that's just for only 1 or 2 seconds.♥️
Very friendly staff, vibe is amazing and they have good collection of games but main area is for bowling as the name suggests! 10/10 without a doubt!
The lane we were given was broken and they said they'd add time to our game because we waited fifteen minutes for them to attempt to fix it then swap us to another lame but they didn't.
Wonderful atmosphere, staff are kind and helpful. Always have a fun time here with friends as well as family. Highly recommend, guaranteed a fun time.
The pins didnt reset properly and had to be done manually. Which gave my friend a spare... even tho he had a pin left standing. I lost the game by 1 point because of that. And even tho I told them right away that it did that... they shrugged their shoulders at me. I'm competitive so it really bothered me. Especially cause I suck at bowling at that was my first time winning.
Always fun. Just wish there was more staff at concession they are always very busy.
Great place. Friendly staff
Original Post: The bowling was fun, however the lane was having issues, kept saying we would have a pin standing after we would bowl a spare. Staff was rude, when I went to ask them to adjust it the third time, I was told "we were trying to fix it, but you just kept bowling". Either the guy didn't TELL me he was trying to fix it, or he said it so softly in a loud place with music playing that I didn't hear him. But I guess to him I heard him and just decided to ignore him and keep bowling, even after I went to him with the issue. $70 for 4 people for an hour with unfriendly staff and defective equipment didn't seem worth it Update: Very soon after my original post, Dave Kist from Let's Bowl got In touch with me to find out more and address the issues. He informed me that a mechanic would be looking at the lane, and he would speak with his staff. All businesses have issues, but it is nice to see management that cares and gets involved to correct such issues. Because of this I'm increasing my rating from 3 to 4 stars, and will be giving Let's Bowl another try. Thanks!
Terrible service, we had technical difficulties twice, staff killed the vibe with their rude attitude, would never come back. They don't care about customers trying to have fun. Do not come here!!
Went there a bunch of time already..fun place, music, beer , best way to spend time with family
It is one of the best bowling lounge in NE Calgary. It have a waiting lounge and a gaming lounge apart from the bowling lanes. The people over there are very nice and humble , they even let us played the pool when we were waiting for our lane without any charges. Loved the ambience , good music , crowded and sanitized. The best they serve tasty fries ???????????? a must place to visit to let off the weekday steams ????????????????We enjoyed alot.
Best bowling alley in YYC! Clean, great food, friendly professional staff and BOWLING! Worth a visit and I bet you come back.
Just had a party there and the staff was terrific and the food was really good.
Lots of fun! Good music, pizza was great too!
Went with the family. Didn't have reservation but was able to get a lane right away. They have automatic bumper bars that rise out of the gutters for t he kids when it's their turn to bowl which made the game much more enjoyable for them.
Good lanes, food was fairly priced. Would definitely recommend paying per game instead of hourly but still a good time.
Lane broke when we were on it, but they migrated us to another lane with no issues. Pricing can be a bit high during peak times, as expected.
Had a company xmas party here. Awesome service by the staff. Good choice to accommodate a large group. Thanks.
It was my first time ever bowling I took a girl on a date and The price was $65 for two and same for a group not too happy about that honestly for a first timer well over expensive and the lady couldn’t find lighter weight bowling balls it was a mess our ball holes were too small and ended up hurting but mainly not too happy with the whole experience staff was also rushing us because we didn’t know how long we wanted to stay and couldn’t even talk it between me and my date. In summery it felt forced and if I had the power I would take it all back and hopefully no one else experience this too.
if you are a person of colour, just do yourself a favour and dont waste your time here. Sad to see the level of racism that still exists in this facility. I saw other reviews and did not want to judge the whole place just on some reviews but they turned out to be very accurate reviews that were written before me. And also, please don't act like you care about the situation to whoever is replying to these racism claims (that were made before me) because clearly, you have not taken the matter into serious thought because it still exists in your bowling alley. Just not a good place to go if you are of colour.
Good family fun !! Lots to offer for food and drinks Splitz Louge for adult beverages Eat lunch here couple times a week, Super nice staff.
The manager was really rude. We wanted change for the billiards game and he denied to give us the change and forced us to use ATM machine which was 3$ extra. The ball hole's were tiny and my fingers did hurt after a game. Aside from that, the environment is good. They should just change the manager.
Let's Bowl honestly has the greatest staff! My siblings (theres 5 of us in total) always choose Let's Bowl for our birthday events! The staff is always amazing. Sometimes we dont plan properly and we walk in on one of their busy nights and they do their best to fit us in. And the wait time isnt even long because they keep you entertained while you wait. The food and drinks and I will also mention pricing because it's all amazing. If you're looking for a fun night out I would highly recommend this place! You cant go wrong for the price and the memories you'll have there. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!
I called with less then a week's notice to reserve three lanes for a party, I thought for sure I left it too late but Dave (I believe he was the owner) cheerfully took my reservation without missing a beat. Once we got there, checking in was easy. We had an awesome time. The facility was well laid out albeit a little tired looking. The only thing that keeps from giving five stars was the staff. They were all business and not overly pleasant. Almost like they were expecting customers to be difficult all the time or something. They weren't surly or anything, just not as nice as the guy on the phone was. Either way, I highly recommend spending an hour or two here. It was a lot of fun for our party!
Good place to relax. It houses Pizza hut and doesnt allow snack or food from outside
A nice and easy expirience that is friendly to all that come. Friendly staff too. Inside, it's got some character too.
Terrible experience. Bowling and lanes are fun but the older lady working the counter was EXTREMELY rude and short. I would not suggest returning unless you expect to be treated in a very disrespectful manner.
Love this place, don't love that they have so many lanes for teams on Friday nights. We went and they had a 45 minute wait time, so we went to 5-pin at the Bowling Depot near the airport instead.
So I checked their website for today’s bowling prices, nothing specific other then weeknight specials, so then I checked their FB page again no specific information about prices, so I called their number and explained I was bringing in a special needs young lady that I work with and my 4 year old granddaughter and myself and asked if it was open bowling and how much it would cost I was told it was and was quoted $6.75 per person for an hour and $3.50 shoe rental per person. We were coming from the far south end of Calgary but chose this location because of the accessibility(no stairs) plus we were there once before for a group event. So when I arrived to get our lane after removing boots coats etc as requested by door the attendant basically didn’t acknowledge us at the counter until what I presumed was the owner came to the counter to stare at us. She then informed us she made a mistake it was “timed bowling” and the actual cost would be $47 per hour plus shoe rental. Knowing I would be assisting both of my companions with their bowling I knew that an hour would pass quickly with not a lot of bowling and the cost of $47 plus shoes was to much. They wouldn’t honour what they quoted me on the phone ( even though there were several open lanes) and so I left with 2 very disappointed young ladies.
A whole lot of fun. Love the ski/snowboard bails after frames ????
The lady at the desk here was so super rude to my son and his grand parents. She tried so hard to not have them bowl there for some reason and implied over and over that our four year old wasn’t welcome there. Would not go back if she was still there. And judging by all the comments about how racist this place is it looks like we’re not the only ones.
Bowled here for years, decent lane fees, good food and cosmic bowling on weekend nights is fun.
Fantastic little bowling place. Nice lanes, has some pool tables ($2 to play, 2 loonies), and some arcade games. Great place to hang out with the friends. Had a good time here, and the staff were friendly. Edit: when I came the second time, I would say that the staff were less friendly the second time. It was still fun. They do have gutters and 6 pound balls, helped with the little one we had! Would like it if the rates were posted somewhere or made visible. I couldn’t really see these. This would help! Tried the poutine and waffle fries. Their fries are really good! The size was decent for $7.
It is a nice place. Nothing fancy, but we had a good time.
Cool socialize and fun game time together. Caters to small or large group. Convenient food to buy to feed the gang. There are busy times so going early is better to get good spots for larger groups.
bowling was fun as usual but staff was rude and ignorant. Nothing new here but thought i would share my experience.
Good place, good vibes! Nothing special but a great place to spend time with family and friends. Does get busy at times & food is something they can work on.
This place is poppin all days of the week! They have many lanes to accommodate the crowd. There's a bar in the back for 18+ to get even better at bowling!
This is always a great place where friends and family can have good time. What is special is that they offer instant noodles on Sunday mornings. So good.
We arrived and had to wait 45 mins for an alley so we had some beer and played pool. The staff in the lounge were very helpful and friendly and the beer is relatively inexpensive. When we go our lane we paid for 2 games (6 people) including shoes. We took advantage of the 20% discount for AMA member and had a great time, especially once the thunder bowling started at 9pm. All in all a really good time, and we will go back!
Fun place to bowl...might need to wait for food as there is a lot of customers they attend to at a time.
Went on a Tuesday night. Plenty of lanes available and beer was an option as well. Would recommend as an entertainment option if in the area.
We all had a great time bowling. The staff here were friendly and accommodating. Thanks! We’ll be back for-sure!! #rickis
One of the best places in Calgary to bowl. Glow bowl is always a fun evening out.
The individual who runs the till (bald man) was snobby, pretentious, and outrageously rude, the food and bowling make up for it but I will not be taking my family here if this guy will be working. 0 stars for his service, 2 stars for everything else.
We had a good sized group and a wonderful time. The only slight downside is that the lanes are timed per hour and not per game but it wasn't a big deal. I would definitely return again!
Had a great time with cool atmosphere and good bowling. Needs more florescent style tho to make glow bowling even funner. Maybe a strobe light lane
It's good spot for bowling in NE..but the rates are no different than other premium bowling places so I won't mind the extra drive to those places.
We booked 2 lanes for a glow bowling bundle, we had 3 kids each lane for 1hr total bowling. The ages were 12yr, 7yr, 8yr, 5yr, 3yr and adult helper. The balls are big and heavy if you have little ones I reccomend the bowling helper, which is a ramp that an adult sets up and the child pushes the ball so it goes down the lane. We did not know you had to request the gutter rails, it was part way through our game that we found out from the shoe attendant. I feel this should have been asked when we set up the lanes... The cool feature about the gutter rails however, is they can set the rails to come up based on the player name, so if you have younger playing with older who dont qant the gutter rail it can be programmed to be up for the ones who want and down for the ones who dont, on the same lane! The front entrance is nuts, there should be a shoe cubby but instead the shoes are just willy nilly and a terrible tripping hazard. In our bundle we got 1 pop, 1 hot dog and 1 fries for each kid. The pop was a good small not a lame small, the hotdog was a standard small beef hotdog with a plain white bun. The fries were curly cut, they were extremely boring flavoured, you need ketchup for these because they are so tasteless. We also got an order of onion rings and chicken strips, both of those were very good, not overly salty rings and decent sized strips. The place was clean and the lights were fun, they were not a black light though as almost all of the white and neon green we wore did not glow at all I would guess a uv type light, but the music wasnt too loud and the kids had a great time.
I am not white but been treated fairly everytime I've been here by the staff. Amanda has always been amazing to my family and friends with her excellent customer service. I have read others review about racism, have never felt or been treated in that way. I understand theres times when it gets busy, but as a customer you should be respectful to others the way you want to be treated .
Been coming here for years and until recently received very rude and horrible customer service. Came in at 9, tried to count how many people were gonna be in our lane and the lady with glasses and dark red hair kept making us hurry claiming they were closing at 1030 when theyve closed at 11 every other week on a Monday. Then we requested for 2 games and one lane but she made us choose two lanes with one game because she didn't think we had time. We paid. People ended up not coming so we asked for one lane and money back. She gave us no money back and kept telling us to hurry up. We finished 2 games with 5 people in 40 minutes. Horrible horrible service. Hopefully she isn't the owner, should not work there all grumpy everyday.
Fun place
Great staff, and run really well. Much better then the Bowling Depot where the staff are rude and uncaring.
Always a fun time! And the staff are very nice :)
So, before my younger sister fly back to Nova Scotia, we went to spend our time here, you need to show proof of your vaccination! (Covid free) Unfortunately I and my hubby did not go in because I forgot mine and for some reason We cannot access it online so we did not had fun that night????????lesson learned ….this time don’t forget your covid vaccine passport , so My mom, My 2 sisters and my kids went to roll and bowl, My kids says they enjoyed the only reason I put 4star is that they don’t have small size for the kids (while waiting for them to finish the game we drove to jolibbee????????????????. Oh and I was told that the other group of people beside them was so rude, they did not like the kids around???? these people should bowl in their own place. This place is suppose to be fun for everyone.
It's a somewhat outdated bowling alley. I believe there are about 25 lanes and it was quite busy on the Thursday night when we got there. Seems to be a popular place for league bowling. Concession is small. Selection of public-use balls was satisfactory. Note that this is 10-pin only bowling!
Recently went here for a ladies night, which was a Friday. Totally didnt realize it would be so busy, because honestly wasn't thinking about bowling leagues. The staff was super friendly and made room for us which was great. I personally can't bowl for the life of me and didnt realize the difference in weights which I think the staff could tell and came to help right away. I will definitely return amd hopefully improve on my bowling skills.
Best bowling place in the city.
Expensive but I don't have a baseline for how expensive bowling usually is so I won't take of many points for that. All in all it was super fun and we had a good time. Will definitely be going again
It's a nice large bowling alley for 10-pin. It's got disco lighting and music, with music videos playing on the screens in between lanes. If you order pizza, they bring it to your table and clear garbage when you're done. The shoes that I was given weren't overly worn, and felt quite new, which was nice.
Great place to 10 pin bowl, play pool & darts! If bowling especially Fridays and weekends, call first and make sure no tournament is on. Lanes can be scarce. #Letsguide 10 pin bowlers
The food and bowling experience was great! However, the lady at the front counter at cash register where you get the shoes and pay for your sessions was very impolite and ignorant and was impatient. If it wasn't for the food staff being so great, we would have left early and never went back.
Super fun, decent music. $55 per hour on a weekend is a bit gross.
I’m here allot with my group of friends every Thursday. The staff is very nice and friendly. Best bowling alley in Calgary.
I like the place, it is nice bowling there. Sadly that an old lady working at the cash register is always so rude to us. She clearly doesn't have manners talking to costumers. My friends and I have gone bowling there many times, however; that employee made us feel like we are not going back. I've been reading other comments and I can tell that there are many people who feel me. I consider it is unbelievable how you haven't yet assess the situation .
Had some bowling fun! This place is a staple in the community and is great for birthday parties, reunions and of court, first or fiftieth dates. The music is really good here and if you ask super super nicely they are pretty cool with switching it up for you.
not a very welcoming place, rude and condescending customer service (bald white guy). lanes constantly break down and get stuck.
Happy and fun place to bring friends and family. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, especially the assistant manager/manager. Highly recommended.
The Staffs are friendly. I've been bowling here for years, lots of improvements in renovation and their food counter. This place serve Pizza Hut pizza and many other finger foods.
Was great and comfortable until they removed the chairs outback. Foods really good Ang is a great person so friendly she gets 5 stars and Joey is an awesome staff member so friendly and responsive he gets 5 stars and Amanda she's always so damn happy she makes bowling worth actually coming to let's bowl but the comfort and atmosphere only gets 2. BRING CHAIRS OR A BENCH BACK
A very nice facility after renovations in the past year. Friendly staff, limited food menu, but, it is good.
Worst customer service by cashier. I totally get sometimes you have a bad day and find everyone annoying but still if you are working in a retail environment you have to treat customer . All lines were full we weren't even close to line she turned us away "lanes are full till 9" . I nicely asked if we can get after 9 . She again replied everything is full . I kept calm and asked smiling can i please have it after 9 then and if you can write our name somewhere. She rudely replied there is no point didn't even though to give us any explanation other than first come first serve . E.g. we were ready to pay in advance or i guess this is called reservation . Its a humble request to specifically that person please try to be nice with people.
We went back to try again on Sunday after owners response. It was the same girl at the customer service but totally different attitude. She was pleasant and helpful. I guess she was just having a bad day that day. We had really good time there, will be back for sure. "Girl at customer service on Sunday Aug 27th @ 6pm had very bad attitude. We asked if we can get a different lane than the one she was giving us...her answer was- we decide which lane we give you and we don't take requests!!!"
Decent place, decent food, front counter staff not friendly, DON’T use lane 19. REPEAT DON’T USE LANE 19 it kept freezing, wasted 10 mins of total time that was paid for while they fixed it again and again, asked to extend are time since the lane kept freezing and breaking, they said no, does not work like that. Sorry. Maybe you will have more fun.
A bit concerned about the pizza and bowling balls being together... Kinda... Greasy but then again I did t see any grime. It was what you expect and a bit more with the fun games room adjacent.
Everytime I go there with my friends, there lanes are broken in the middle of the game and we don’t even get fair treatment about getting reset of our time, no even is apologetic about it in the staff or offer resolutions. Please look into this. Thanks
not impressed that there is no change table in the new washrooms to change my baby!!!. Dont go here if you have kids that wear diapers unless you want to change them on the floor :( Need to have one installed again after then renos were done. Otherwise love the friendly staff and pizza.
I had so much fun bowling but the lanes are two narrow. Had the family in the lane next to ours spilling in our lane and we also spilled into theirs
Great family oriented bowling alley. Bowled on Saturday in the early afternoon and it wasn't crowded. Arcade is small and has 2 pool tables. Foosball table only had 4 balls, not enough for a game at all.
Fun place to Bowl, great staff, very friendly. I've been coming back week after week for over a month now with no desire to go anyplace else in Calgary, I've tried most of them. Clean, roomy, fun room in the back and a full bar, pro shop, a great canteen, and reasonable prices for everything.
Great prices but awful customer service. A very rude and grumpy lady on the till is not a good welcome into a place you want to spend your money. (white long hair, seems extremely miserable to be there) She desperately needs customer service lessons.
Great bowling place with friends. Only been there once. And yes they serve drinks. ????
Good place. Went there on a Saturday. It was $55 an hour. Music selection is okay too. Service was a little slower when the bowling alley was stuck.
I haven't bowled here, but I would have rated zero, if i could. They are so rude. Their website says public bowling on Friday is 9am - 1am. But, it also says to call and check availability as they have leagues. I called them today and asked if they had availability for tonight for public bowling. The lady replied very curtly, "After 9pm, first come first serve". I replied we wanted to come before 9pm, can we. Her answer was - "you won't bowl". I didn't get it and I asked what do you mean? And she repeated - "you won't bowl." I asked are you closed - and she replied very rudely - "there's a league." I guess they make enough money from leagues and don't want our business. Then please don't open for public at all. We had a similar experience with them last year, when we showed up on a Wednesday night and the lady said very rudely, we are closed. I saw people bowling, and when I asked about it, she said very rudely, "it's a league". We had kids with us. Atleast be nice in front of kids - well atleast I used it as a teaching moment for my kids on what not to do. You really need to improve on your customer service...
nice and very clean place to have some fun. really helping and welcoming staff. would definitely recommend this place
Disrespectful staff...zero respect for customer...
Always been a great place to bowl. If you ever need any equipment Rich knows his stuff and will get you in the right balls.
We love coming here…super fun place for bowling and amazing atmosphere. Amber and her colleagues were very friendly and super helpful!
Staff was Helpful with last minute reservations for a Saturday night. Beer is a tad expensive but great atmosphere
Fun and well maintained. Also one of the only places where I've found 10 pin bowling.
The venue is great for bowling and the service at the food counter is top notch. However, the building is FREEZING. It's like they don't turn the heat on at all, which is exasperated by the fact that you're not wearing shoes while you're in there (if you're not bowling), and the water in the washrooms is freezing. It just makes the experience very uncomfortable.
Nice clean place. Staff are nice. Prices are competitive with other bowling places. Lots of lanes. Didn't try the food, so no comment on that.
Came here for a work Christmas party. They abided by covid restrictions and were VERY accommodating and friendly. There was a mix up with our orders and we had to wait an hour for our platters, but overall was good service, clean facility, and a fun time! Will definitely be back.
Love this place! Staff is friendly and the lanes are well maintained, plus food and drinks...hard to ask for more.
Really fun clean awesome bowling alley. Plan ahead if you want to order food and it's busy. Not sure what their priority system is.
I have been at Let's Bowl numerous times and I can honestly say the older lady at the front desk gives me serious anxiety issues. Her attitude is absolutely horrible and I do not have a clue why she remains employed with such an attitude. First, she charges $5 if the client does not want shoe and $6 if they do. She charged me incorrectly once and I had to pay out of pocket once I provided receipts to the agency I work for. Today I wanted to clairy and I simply asked her how much does it cost to bowl without shoes. She responded by saying "$6+$6= $12 that's what your are charged its basic math!". Considering many agencies support Let's Bowl it would be human of her to engage with clients by saying "hello" or " have a fantastic game". I am so disgusted by her behaviour and the way she belittles other to make herself feel wonderful. My clients are paying customers and a little respect and dignity would go along way. I will NOT recommend this place due to bad customer service. However, it's a great place to hangout and have fun, meet new people, and enjoy a decent meal.
Best Bowling Place in North East Calgary
The service was good because of the lady wearing red shirt but the guy with the mask and grey hat need to go back to kindergarten to learn to have some manners and respect people
Very nice place. We always go here if we ever want to bowl. Weekdays after 9 or 930 *depending if theres a league or not* is always pretty cheap. Staff are usually very friendly, some staff are a bit aloof and condescending at times but, it's worth it. Very clean, pro shop is awesome if you're looking in to getting your own ball.
The staff are not friendly and you wait forever for service at the counter. The place itself is clean and reasonably nice.
Great place to come, for cheap affordable bowling rates. The food is also good.
I've league bowled here for the last few years. I personally think it's the best 10 pin bowling in the city. The lanes are maintained very well, and the price for bowling is per game not per hour. Which is huge when you've got a big group. Let's 10 Pin Bowl's bread and butter is the league's they run, so if you're going to drop in you should call first. Weeknights you would be able after 9:20, and I'm not a 100% sure about Saturday and Sunday. That being said if you like bowling you should join a league! It's a great way to spend a night during the winter months. The one thing I wish they'd get is some local craft beer on tap. Can't win them all I guess... Or can you?
Very friendly staff clean place good place to come with friends or family they have both rates for hourly and full frame. Definitely a good place to visit a little expensive for a relaxing day
Had a great night! Love the jugs of draft beer, would like to see some local beers tho. Original 16 is dogshart. Also, there is like 3 craft breweries within walking distance to the bowling alley. Why not talk to them and get their product in your alley? Bowling was great tho
The place was amazing, and the service was expectional. Every employee was great to interact with and super helpful. I was surprised by such great customer service, reason to keep visiting again and again. So accommodation and helpful while following all the COVID-19 protocols for safety. 100% recommend!
Fun place, lots of lanes with bumpers for the kids that turn off for the adults to even the playing field (would have been more even if my 7yo and I switched ????). Had fun didn't wait long for a lane can't ask more. Staff was very nice too. If you go with little ones, ask to set up the bumpers and they have 6lb barrels for them too.
Have enjoyed bowling here for over 10 years now. In fact, this was the place where I bowled 10-pin for the first time. It is always a great experience bowling here and the glowing effect for bowling at night adds to the fun. Friends, coworkers and I have always had fun here and I will continue to recommend this place for quite some time!
Weekend bowling is pretty expensive as its by the hour.. but the lanes are well kept and the atmosphere is pretty good. During the week: Lets bowl and Weekends: Century!
We went to a non neon light night to save money. Got there, and a company paid for the neon lights. So when we paid we were informed we had to pay for the neon lights too.
Its your average bowling alley, we had some issues with our balls not returning but other than that we've been there lots and quite enjoy it.
This was my second time at the bowling alley. The first time I bowled there (a few weeks ago) everyone in our group had a fun time. The facility seemed well maintained and there was a very friendly and helpful man running the counter. Unfortunately, during this visit, the blond-haired lady working the counter was anything but friendly and helpful. While waiting by the counter for more of my group to show up, she told us that we couldn't wait by the counter and had to wait in the lounge, even though the bowling alley was nearly empty. Then, when we were deciding whether or not to pay per game or get a lane for 1 hour, she interrupted our conversation and TOLD us that we should pay per game. We told her that the last time it worked out better paying for a lane. She outright said "there's no way you could play enough games to make it worth while". We told her that we did play enough the last time (which we absolutely did) but she wouldn't believe us and kept arguing, raising her voice! So, we decided to just pay per game. When we finished the games we paid for, it was about 40 minutes until closing time. So, we tried to pay for 1 more game and she refused - saying she had already cashed out!! I hope the owner of this bowling alley reads the reviews on Google - it looks like other people have dealt with this lady before. She is very rude and is likely driving away customers. She is also more concerned with cashing out early than making the business money! My rating of this bowling alley is lowered only because of this rude female staff member.
It is a fun place and for a group of 7 well worth the price; service was prompt and friendly. Only downfall was that our game glitched 5 times and would cut peoples turns short and move onto the next player too early, the guys at the service counter were quick to fix it but still a bit inconvenient to have to stop our game and walk over there to get it sorted. The last 8 minutes of the game the pins froze and at this point we were okay to leave so didn’t mention it but still inconvenient, would still come back!
Good bowling alley! Went here for Fathers Day and ate at the concession, had a couple drinks, and a couple hours of bowling (there is a good groupon also!)
Can't believe this place is still open. I loved going here as a kid and I love the feel of the place. So many good memories and the staff is cool. Decent place to go and just have fun
I have been coming here every Thursday night for a year and it's the best in town for many reasons. 1. The staff there are so friendly and accommodating 2. The pizza and wings are fantastic 3. The lanes and balls are kept in great condition 4. Atmosphere is fun and welcoming (especially for families with young kids) 5. Amanda's smiling face at the front counter. Always happy to happy to help.
Nice lanes, seems to be well maintained. Music isn't overly loud and the fries were pretty good. Our group had a great time!
The bowling alley system is good in Calgary. But staff service is rude and abysmal in Calgary. It would be faster to open another new bowling alley than to improve its service. I visited before Covid. And don't bother me by sending a message.
a pretty fun place to bowl good food and drinks and friendly customer service
Had a good time . Thought it was cool that the lanes are Black light friendly ????????
Well maintained lanes, decently priced booze, and greasy pizza and poutine - what more do you want in a bowling alley? Only complaint is that the Pro Shop is not open on weekends.
I've been going here for years. Great place for 10 pin bowling, plenty of lanes and solid equipment. Glow bowling in the evening. There's other games too and a bar at the back if you want to enjoy a brew.
In the 1st half hr the lane got stuck many times, after the 1st 30min we asked for our money back and the one guy with the long beard was extremely rude he said you already played half hr so you will get only half your money back. I will never go back again and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Great place, always an easy place to come to have a bit of fun with friends and family. Although other patrons can be very difficult to deal with and have attachments to the balls that they have set aside for themselves, but love to use yours. Yeah those people were weird and ruined our time here.
Great place to go for bowling The staff is friendly. The food's good and great place to have fun
This bowling alley has been here for a long time and the I have enjoyed bowling there for years
Good facility's, very clean. Female staff on service counter needs to learn better customer service, the rest of staff are first rate
Very decent place for those that love bowling. Availability of a lot of lanes so you won't need to wait too long to get game time. There's also pizza hut around in case you get hungry.
Was here for a staff party and had a lot of fun. The staff were alright and the pizza was incredible!! We were there on a Friday afternoon and we had the place to ourselves. It was starting to fill up as our time was done. Recommend checking it out if you’re looking for something to do. There’s a lounge in there as well and lots of stuff to keep your kids entertained
This place is good. But if they hire more people, that will be better when the busy day.
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received, the lady was so rude I would not give this bowling ally your money. Don't waste you're time here. Will be letting everyone I know to never go here. Such a bad experience. As from reading the reviews below most of the people are having the same problem with the same lady, something needs to be done about her.
Staff is very friendly and polite didn't get to go because there website sais close at 11pm on Sundays and they actually close at 9:30pm but looks like a good spot to bowl
Pretty good. We hit the rack and they said it was okay. Awesome place.
The lady on the phone has horrible customer service and maybe should take some classes on proper phone etiquette, planning to book a corporate event there but now I’ll have to take my business elsewhere
There's an old white lady with dirty blond hair that has no clue what customer service is, and she couldn't be more racist. She absolutely hates children, and thinks they're all liars. Trust me you'll know who I'm talking about when you see it or communicate with it. Definitely not going back again.
Decent bowling alley. Pizza hut pizza is a big plus. Reasonable rates for group parties.
I been doing there for some time now and the staff was polite but last few times I had really bad experience! The guy who was surging us was very rude and maybe racist! I’ll not go to this place again and it sucks because I liked going there.
very disappointed with quality of pin resetter. 7 times in a 1 hour game our group had to get our game reset or it wouldnt register the pin correctly. bowl a strike would register as 8 pins 2 times in a row. highly dont recommend to any competitive players. very disappointed
Was fun place . Went to get a water and the service was very slow they would rather talk to her friend then service the three people standing in line was about 5 minutes before she even notice us.
Cashier gave us so much attitude while we were deciding how many games to play. The facility is good, but the customer service is very poor. Overall would not recommend this place.
Lighting was super dim making it a bit hard to navigate around. Probably also given that it was very crowded too. We had to take our boots off at the entrance which was fine. What was not fine was that some visitors were completely ignorant and wore their shoes around. Our lane had glitches. The screen and lane got stuck twice. The staff did compensate with extra time so appreciate that. Unless I get a good deal, don't think I'm visiting again.
An alright bowling alley with decent room, drinks and food. Pool available also...but what's not alright is how much they charge you on the weekends. There's no longer a "per game" rate, instead it's per hour... and it costs over $70 per hour. There is nothing special about this place to be costing this much. With four people you are not even able to get 2 games in, and you have to pay extra if you're in the middle of your game and timer runs out. Would need to go check it out on a week day to see if it's different. Fun place but rather pricey from my experience.
Ok service but they over charged us on food and drinks a few times
It’s so weird that you have to pay for listing a music per song. Quite without the music because no one wants to pay for music. And no leaser light.
End of our experience ended with a 6 year old girl crying. Numerous things will ensure our work group never goes back here. We thought this would be a good place to go occasionally as a team, that will never happen. Customer service is horrible and very rude (should have read the reviews first)! We intended to use a Groupon for our 10 people (two lanes, 7 adults and three children). You have to purchase it 24 hrs in advance so couldn't (our fault, no problem). So we said we'd want the two lanes for a game each lane (roughly an hour with the kids). The woman who had already been rude charged $121.xx (shoe rentals included), our fault for not purchasing the groupon we figured. Midway through our hour one of our group saw that we could have paid $6.75/person/game (roughly $100 with shoe rentals), so we asked the rude woman if we could pay the lower price...no, you already started. Pretty upset about this experience now. We would have appreciated if she told us we could have paid per game and not by the hour which is what she charged us. Time runs out as our last player is starting her last bowl, I ask if they can extend it to let her finish and the woman says if you want to pay extra...we'd already spent $160+ for bowling, food, drinks. Are you kidding me!? Had a word with the manager and he said the same thing. Done with this place, our group was 10 today but I have a team of 15 work people that would have returned regularly to eat food, drink, bowl and play pool...Let's NEVER Bowl here again is more appropriate. *** Update in response to owners comment *** This was not about the cost or frugal, although that was a cost was a factor in the level of customer service we received which was the ultimate issue with Let's Bowl. To be clear - we did not 'choose' the time option. We were told that Let's Bowl had some of the most competitive rates, which is why we chose it and continued to bowl without the groupon because price wasnt a deal breaker. The 'hourly' option was provided to us as this was our first time at Let's Bowl and we were not advised that there was a less expensive option available. When we realized there was another option we asked if it could be changed. The total disdain by the lady behind the counter started raising flags. This was a team outing and speed wasnt a factor, additionally we had young children (which you saw when you talked to one of our members) on one of the lanes so it took an hour to bowl a (almost) a whole game for them. The fact that after spending $160+ (which wasnt the most cost effective price we could have paid) and were told we would have to pay extra for the 6 year old to bowl her last turn was what resulted in my review. Think financially, you lost out on a 'free' 2 minutes for her to finish versus any number of additional nights of adults bowling, playing pool and drinking at Let's Bowl. You can wish upon wishes that "you and your group will try Let's Bowl again in the future knowing that there are cost saving options available." but dont hold your breath. The management of your facility ensures we wont return. I guess im glad i found this out by only spending what we did before we spent more. My mistake was not reading the reviews before visiting Let's Bowl.
The only thing I liked about this bowling alley was that the food came put quick. Other than that, everything else sucked. Customer service was the worst especially the older lady with the dark blonde or brown hair behind the counter. Both times I have been there, she has been very rude and disrespectful. The end time for public bowling is advertised is 11pm but she rudely told us she was closing at 1030 because it wasn't busy. The 2nd time, we arrived a little passed 9pm and asked if public bowling was open and she rolled her eyes and said yes. If she is not the owner, she needs to go because she is the reason why it is not busy. If she is the owner, her business is going to close down due to her attitude. I'm going to be taking my business else where from now on.
Always have the worst experience at this bowling alley. The prior comments of the staff being rude and racist are completely true. When asking questions to the man at the front desk, who is apparently the manager, he would respond very impolite. The lady who brought out the food actually raised her voice to let us know the we had mentioned the wrong table number by accident. VERY unprofessional. I will make sure my family and friends never celebrate another birthday or event at this place. Plenty of other bowling alleys with great service. Food was good though. But they have absolutely NO customer service!!
Good and nice place to unwind with your family and friends. Lane bookings are available. Pizza is not so good. Pool tables and games for kids are also there
It was ok. They made a big deal about offering the party I was with ( about 25 people ) a pitcher of water, which was super weird I guess, but they eventually brought it so it's all good. The game bugged twice on the two games I played but then again that stuff happens and it's nobody's fault
Glow bowling! Best place to go bowling. All the other alleys I've been to have been dark, dirty and feel super shady.
Just get together for old fashioned fun :) kids will love it as well guaranteed. Reasonable prices and super friendly staff!
First of all, I would like to say that I very rarely write reviews for any business but I felt it was important to pass along the positive experience we had today at Let's Bowl. We took our kids and their cousins there as part of a family games day and we had a great time. The owner very helpful and was great with the kids. The rest of the staff was also great to deal with. The facility is well maintained and it is obvious that they take pride in their business. We've already booked our next games day and are looking forward to checking out the DISCO bowling.
We were able to play 1 game plus 3 turns extra in an hour and that was with a small kid
Been coming here for years, never had an issue with racism. Amanda and Bart are freakin awesome. Always a great experience coming here for a night out or league bowling.
Staffs really rude. I hate bringing race into anything but the staff was so rude and racist towards my friends.
Service was terrible. Used several lanes because the lanes could not keep score properly. Staff had no intention of rectifying these issues and would not serve us after 11:00 even when we were told play one game then come book another by the lady at the desk. Been to this establishment before with good experience years ago. Will never go here again. Was a reason the parking lot is empty these days. Would honestly rate them at a 0/5. Save your money and time go elsewhere.
Was great. Lots of lanes. We just walked in and got a lane right away. Helpful staff.
Place is cold..and use to have the best pizza..use to put lots of cheese. But now new lady and cheap on the cheese like all the other pizza huts
Lots of fun 10 pin bowling. Took a while to find a ball to fit someone with very big hands.
Bowling is nice, music is great, but the staff are TERRIBLE. Very rude service; staff were mean and neglectful. Food was not great. Do not recommend.
Showed up on a Saturday and only one lane available. They dont answer the phone. I wanted to check to make sure they didn't have any league games or other stuff to make sure we would be able to play. Will never go there again.
I too have had a bad experience with the older lady working the front counter. We were bowling and paid hourly. Our lane malfunctioned/stuck so we had to call the front and ask for someone to fix it.they got it fixed within a few minutes. Next shot up, it happened again. They go back and after a few minutes, was told we have to switch lanes. The whole ordeal was around 15 minutes. I go to the front and kindly ask the lady if we can have 10-15 mins added to our hour. Her response was "no! It hasn't even been 5 minutes!" And in a rude loud manner as well. I was speechless and shocked. I've been going to this alley for more than 20 years, and she should not be working the front. I've seen all these negative reviews and they're all focused on this particular lady. The front desk needs dramatic improvements. On the bright side, the lanes are kept well oiled and their balls aren't just house balls which is nice (I throw a hook ball).
Love this place! Has always been a favourite! Friendly staff and well priced fun times!!
Love this place! There is tons of lanes which is awesome because there is lanes for everyone even on league nights!! You can easily book your group ahead of time online as well. We love the plastic bags at the front door so you can take your shoes to your lane with you, great little touch. Best place in the city to bowl, highly recommend!????
Wish I had read reviews prior to taking my family bowling here. Was not a good experience based on attitude from staff. We definitely felt uncomfortable and unwelcome at this establishment. I will not recommend family and friends to bowl here.
Great place to have somw good time with your friends and family...it remains crowded in weekdays as well. Pizza is not so good. Pool tables and games for kids are also available.
Very clean. Good spot to bowl
I was so disappointed. The building is so cool, as soon as I walked in the lanes looked upgraded and the deals were great. I thought I might make it my regular bowling place after my first visit. What killed it right to one star was customer service. The lady that was working the bar/food may have been over worked or something, but that's no reason to tell people they can "take a beer or ****ing nothing at all* at the bar. We won't be returning. My advice to the owner, look for some friendly down to earth staff.
Great place but very rude staff member who sighed when we asked her we wanted to do 2 games instead of 3. Was about to walk out but friends stopped me. Not ever coming back. Edit: spoke to kitchen manager she was very receptive and friendly. Thank you for hearing us out :)
I phoned in to ask how busy one of their Saturdays were as I was trying to plan a group bowling trip... The lady who answered the phone was extremely rude... I don't usually write reviews but my goodness. Lost our business.
I am on a bowling league on Thursday Nights at Let's Bowl. The alley is always clean, there is a lounge if you want an alcoholic beverage and a concession serving Pizza Hut pizza.
The lanes are in good condition, friendly staff. $30 for half an hour seems expensive, though.
I really enjoyed my games here! Excellent customer service. All my food orders were fast and fresh! Definitely recommend Let's Bowl!
Lots of fun, Bowling, 2 Pool tables, few arcade games. Prices a little high but not too bad.
Had fun
I’ve been coming here for years. Best bowling in the city. Give Amanda at the front desk a friendly hello from Tommy!
Great way to spend some fun family time. A little bit high in price but still fun.
Very friendly and customer service oriented. Big, busy place. A wee bit on the pricier side but a great place for our family's first bowling experience.
I wanted to book a reservation and I went online to check and it said to call the number. I phone and I ask if I could make a reservation and the lady says no you have to do it online, I told her it does not give me the option to book it online. And she just kept saying no you can so I check again to make sure, and sure it tells me like before to call let’s bowl to book a reservation. I call back and I spoke to the same lady and I told her you cannot book online, she said okay what day we’re you wanting, and I said the day and time to her. The lady rudely goes oh no I have a party coming in and all the lanes are booked for it, which in my mind you guys have so many lanes and one party is taking up all of them, okay... I just think it’s ridiculous that we can’t book reservations online, and being lied to that you can. Not coming here again.
Went bowling as a team event. Very friendly, helpful people. The pizzas were delivered hot and delicious. My only objection was being out-bowled by a four-year-old. Though I suppose that's on me
I took my children and neices and nephews here, and I tell you the staff are amazing, they came and spoke with the kids, and went out of their way to make sure this group of teens felt like special!! My Brother, brother-in-law and I could not have been more impressed, and the kids talked about how much fun it all wss. This place is well deserving of it's 5 star review. Let's bowl you are awespme!
I bowl terribly but not fault of them. Pizza and drinks were excellent .We had a good time. Bathrooms are clean .Staff are helpful and friendly.
Don’t even want to give them a star either but there is no option for zero. True racist reviews given, the manager James don’t even know how to treat a customer. The owner should think twice before giving him the responsibility for whole centre.
its a nice place to have some good time. i wish their Monday night cheap deal comes back.. was the best deal ever!
Really awful place, stay away from there, worst service ever.
We had a tournament and had a blast. They got pizza hut inside. Service was little slow, however to be fair, they had to make over 50 pizza in 2 hrs.
We love this place. We are here usually every couple weeks and we always have a good time. I did not like bowling until I started coming here and now I love it! The staff are all friendly too :)
In a word 'Fantastic '. Only 10 pin. Kids loved it and adults too. Very reasonable. Call before going as they have leagues
The worst place for any kind of fun. Not only you don't even see the prices when you get in (the tvs showing the prices were turn off and you just have to listen the staff give you your total without giving you the prices). Also the supervisor on site Amanda is super rude and disrespectful beyond any doubt. She doesn't even want to listen to your side of the story because she doesn't give a damn about it. I don't recommend this place for anyone at least not when Amanda is working.
Really good bowling place! Prices are fair and glow bowling is fun, and it's really well maintained. Only negative comment I have is we tried to order food twice and were refused.. first time we were told kitchen was being used for "other stuff".. came back 45 minutes later and were told "it's a mess in there"
Unreal service. Very friendly staff ! They go above and beyond to make you enjoy your time!
The lady at the cash is an old grump. Was rude from the start like when asking simple questions like do you charge per game or hour. Also after discreetly telling her that one member of our group has to keep their shoes on for medical reason she started yelling about how she can't play. I understand the reasoning but it could have been said more friendly not like that. Really disappointing but I guess some people have no manners at all. This woman should be fired, no reason to act like this at all especially when we're dropping over $130 to play here.
We had a fantastic night out with friends. Good prices, great atmosphere and friendly staff. We will be back!!!
Lady at the cash register is absolutely rude, has no problem yelling at people when she's on her phone going "NOT READY! THERE ARE LANES FOR EVERYONE" when you're just standing at the counter waiting patiently not even disturbing her. Super rude as an employee, very upset with the customer service.
Went here for one hour of bowling. You wouldn't think that this place is so cool by looking at it from the outside. Friendly atmosphere and staff. A great place to bring your kids or just adults.
Have visited here several times throughout the years in highschool pe class, bowling with friends and for a christmas party. Service is good, pizza is good and have never left disappointed in the experience besides my score. Will visit again
The worst place ever. Zero customer service. Staff can't even smile while providing service. I told them I hadn't bowl in a long time and they try to rip me off by telling me it was $55 per hour. I would never ever go back. They didn't explain a single rule of the bowling alley to us cause most of the people I was with had never bowled before. I was practicing in the adjacent alley to ours and one of the female staff decided to yell at me from the counter. It was the single most mortifying moment in my entire life. I told her I wasn't going to throw the ball and she yelled doesn't matter stay in your lane. More then half the bowling alley was empty. And everyone was starring at me. I have never been so embarrassed in my life. Never ever going back.
Regardless of the busyness of the place, I like bowling at Let's Bowl. However, the workers in the front are always rude and unpleasant. I hope they are more respectful to the customers.
This bowling place was very fun and a great place to hang out with friend. They also have a pool hall and a few games including foosball. I recommend this place.
My daughter bowls here and treat her very well ( she is in Special Olympics ) the owner is awesome and the pro shop is very very helpful
Lady who answered the phone is incredibly rude, argumentative and unhelpful. I asked to make a reservation and was told you have to do that online. Went online to make a reservation and couldn't. Phoned back to ask some questions and get some help and was dismissed. I said to her you don't have to be rude about it and was told when I asked to speak to the manager that she wasn't rude and I would have to wait. Was put on hold for a very long time. I decided to hang up and take my business elsewhere. Don't need to pay to have someone be rude to me. Understand that you may be having a bad day but really not acceptable to take it out on customers. They are not deserving of even 1 star.
Very affordable and fun! Lots of people on a tuesday night
DO NOT COME HERE. The workers are rude, disrespectful, and racist, especially Amanda. She shouldn't be able to work there. Apparently she is the supervisor, she doesn't know anything about customer service or about just being a human being. I came here for my birthday, I was playing pool, and when I inserted my money in the machine to get the balls it didn't work. So I went up to Amanda to ask if I could get my money back, and she refused to give me my money, even though they have cameras and could see I was telling the truth. She believed I was lying, just because I am of color.
We visited Let's Bowl on 17th March with a group of friends. First issue is they don't let you take shoes with you to your bowling lane so its always a theft risk. Our fear was realized after we were done bowling. Somebody took off with my wife's shoe. When we went in to report this Bart at the front desk seemed very friendly and said this is a regular occurrence and not to worry. He answered my call couple of days later to confirm the shoe hasn't been returned and to give them couple more days. Its been 10 days now and he stopped taking my call or replying to the text messages. The issue is not about the shoe but the principles. This is pathetic and unforgivable customer service. If they know this is a regular issue why don't they fix it.
The bowling was amazing! Got an hour and a half for 6 people, two long games of absolute fun, will come back when I choose to go bowling again in calgary
We had a young player with us so it took us a bit longer to get through a game. We then ran out of time and had to extend time to finish the game. It would have been more fun if we could just pay for our game and play until we all finish. Clearly not completely family friendly. Kind of a turn off to come back.
Had the worst customer service experience ever at this place. Tried to tell me goverment policy that doesn't even exist. I had my 82 year old grandma and they said no spectetors allowed so either i leave her in car to suffocate or i leave her outside to freez to death or if i want to have her with me inside than i will have to pay for her when she is not even gonna play. I will never visit this place again. I wish i could give 0 or negative rating to this place.
I liked the place because it's quite large lots of lines. Stuff not that friendly and facilities are dirty. But in regards to the bowling all good.
Best bowling in Calgary. I’ve been going there for over 20 years. Food is always good. The staff especially Amanda have all been friendly and efficient. I take my nieces and nephews there for there birthdays and they love it!
They have a small pool room where it is very small and poorly lit and you can't properly plays pool because the machines are broken and requires your ID for a $2 pool game. The machine eat my money twice and the supervisor on site Amanda was annoyingly rude and unhelpful about our problems.
Agree with other people that the staff were very rude and I felt racism from the moment our group walked in. Sad
Awesome place but some members of the staff are soo Rude …
Unimpressed. I'll start with the good. The women at the food counter were polite and very helpful, I ordered Thai chicken bites and was impressed with the portion as I was quite hungry and it was like 6 or 7 bucks. The bad: the man who worked the shoe counter was incredibly rude and unhelpful, definitely had a massive ego problem. I asked about prices and splitting lanes and he spoke to me as if I couldn't understand basic english. I am brown (but born canadian, so no accent), and I've read a few other reviews claiming racism here, I hate to play the race card, but it's not hard to believe with the 'service' this man offered. When I mentioned how rude he was to the woman working at the food counter, she tried to be tactful, but I could tell that he also treats his staff like crap. I asked if he was the manager and she confirmed. Absolutely unacceptable for a manager to treat staff AND customers so horribly. I'd recommend either training him in how to deal with people or replacing him with someone who cares about others. I was so disappointed, I opted not to bowl with my friends, and will definitely steer people away from here until something changes.
Worst service I have ever received from the food counter. Don't know what the woman's problem was but she was MISERABLE and just plain rude. Bowling is fine, just eat somewhere else if you want decent service.
The place was packed, and it was fun, but poor ball selection and a dirty washroom definitely hurt the experience. The staff could have used a bit more help.
I wasn’t very impressed with the staff and the way they handled themselves. We had lane 25 and 26 and there’s a problem with lane 25 that makes it freeze CONSTANTLY(according to one of the employees, this lane ALWAYS freezes). In the hour and half we were there it froze on us over 10 times, and every time we had to wait for one of the staff to go back there and reset it. At one point they were busy and it took them over 5 minutes just to go back there to reset it. When my friend went to speak with the worker that reset it, she said to him ‘this is so freaking annoying’ and he put his hand up in her face and told her to stop talking. HORRIBLE customer service. This is NOT how you handle this kind of situation, the staff really need to be trained or retrained in how to handle customers. Horrible experience, ruined our night.
Great place to bowl, chill out and they've got great food and hands down the best sushi I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend!!
Love the place. Has everything. Bowling, alcohol and food.
Very good place to bowling.
A previous reviewer had it correct about lack of customer service. I'd normally break down each individual aspect of my experience but it was all wrong. They were extremely rude especially at concessions. They didn't have many menu items making choosing difficult and had a terrible and impatient attitude on top of it -- noone was in line but us. One bartender was bad at her job and didn't know what drinks they had and didn't have, the other was simply mean like a post menopausal lady having the worst day of her life. After closing staffers stood outside with drunk customers making racist remarks about Asian people, mainly Southern Asians and Arabs. Thankfully there are plenty of other bowling centre's around Calgary that are far superior in every aspect. It's still hard to wrap my head around the experience we had.
Excellent place to have fun! Fair prices on food. Big thank you to Adam for taking our group on a short tour of where the magic happens! Great team!! Highly recommended.
Glow bowling. Friendly staff good place for children.
Busy on weekends suggest to pre book. Wait times can be anywhere from 20-30mins on weekends. Other than that great place for large gatherings with a variety of food and drinks to choose from.
Was a great experience with my family, my kids loved it
Fun time for a friends birthday party. Only minor complaint was that the number of pitchers of beer allowed at a table wasn't told to us until someone wanted to come and confiscate our jugs. It worked out though and wasn't a big deal, just thought it could have been more clear at point of purchase.
I'd like to start by saying I work with a severely autistic young adult and normally we go to century casino to bowl but they're undergoing renovations. I also NEVER write reviews and I know lots of angry people say that but it's true. My experience was just so bad I had to write something. Normally when we go to century bowling they allow the kid I work with to have the bumpers up but when I asked the woman here to put them up she said no because they're for children. I DO understand this rule but I think it certain conditions you should break a rule especially if it's to keep an autistic person from freaking out. Which is what I told her that he will freak out if the bumpers aren't up and she replied "I don't think so" as if she knows him better than I do. I would give this establishment zero stars if it were me I cannot believe that someone would treat a person with special needs in that manner. Her reason was he would break the bumpers but he has NEVER broken a bumper at century lanes. If I was anyone I would avoid this place and bowl at century a much more welcoming place for everyone.
Bowling was fun but the absolute unit that is Logan carried the show for the night. From his beautiful blue eyes to his outstanding personality there was not a flaw to be found in the best human possibly ever.
Fun for the kids and parents...high tech with bumpers able to be set for certain players only. Lower weight balls for kids and lots of choices for adults. Really good space with a separate table for each lane.
Terrific bowling alley - clean, nice chairs, good food and drinks all for a fair price!
Honestly... i have been going here for the past 6 years and still going. In fact, my friends and i have been going every Thursday night. Even more so my friends has been going here a lot longer than i have. All of the staff are amazing except for one lady, ***DONNA*** i have no idea why but she always seems to put a foul mood on everyone. Ruins the great vibe of the night and always shows and complains back to the customers. Tonight when i ordered a hamburger and she gave me the dirtiest stare and was disgruntled that i made an order. This isnt even the first incident that has occurred either. I could go on forever about this one lady and i truly believe that it isnt fair for this type of business that solely relies on customer service is gonna force regular paying customers not to come back. She really needs to be let go. No one deserves to be spoken in a derogatory manner, not even the other staff and definitely not the customers! Above all else i totally recommend everyone coming here to have fun and hang out!!! #DoWhatsRightForTheCustomers
came in over an hour before closing on sunday august 23rd the guy working the front had longer brown hair and was extremely rude. he was complaining about how they closed in an HOUR and was aggravated when we asked to order food and said we had to order immediately. we ended up just leaving because of how annoyed he was that we were there
I'm guessing this place is for professionals. We were frowned upon ordering 2 jugs of beer and a single bottle of beer between 4 people. We showed up around 930 and they said last call was any minute, and that this amount of alcohol was way to much between 4 adults who wanted to have fun and do some amature bowling. He assumed we were gonna drink and drive but we had a dd in place. I also over heard the employs talking about it. This place is very disrespectful and could have handled this much better. I will never be coming back again. To add on to the situation we showed up and nobody was interested to help out, the biggest disappointment was the guy with the longer hair who was upset that we ordered food at lat call at 945 which was just a large fry. When we showed up he said there was no bowling after 9 and then he says there was bowling after 9. Also he said the consetion was closed after 9 and then continued to say it was open after 9? This young man needs to be evaluated or even let go with his disrespect. I would love to talk to upper management about this. Just discussing.
Went there for a team building session with my company and it was awesome. Very clean, great food and super nice staff.
Food was good neon bowling was great. Just the service button didn't work but other then that was good
Great location, I had a lot of fun. Even got approached by a friendly pro-leaguer, who offered to come on Sundays and learn from the professionals for free.
One of the best places for 10 pin bowling in the city. Very busy on the weekend though. The staff is not nice to deal with.
Great place to bowl, many lanes and fun atmosphere BUT costumer service could be better. We were helped by an older lady who seemed to want to be ANYWHERE else, she gave me attitude the minute she learned I had a Groupon. If you don't want to have people with Groupons... Don't sell Groupons?
Very rude staff.. manager is also rude. I felt she was being racist. No one had a smile on their face. It seemed as if they were being forced to work.
Always go to this bowling place for the past couple of years, went twice last week and the first time around it was great. Good food and the lady at the food counter was nice, a little younger. But service counter woman was an elderly woman and abruptly rude. She was sitting on her computer for the longest time and didn’t even approach us we were waiting at the counter for about 10 minutes. Went back with my family over the weekend and an elderly man and woman were at the counter and were super rude as well. Bowling alleys are good and it’s in good shape but the service was terrible and staff was rude.
Customer service was so rude. Will not be returning any time soon. I went here with my brother and his friend- who have mild disabilities. The people beside us kept taking our balls and then compained that we were using the less heavy balls - shortly after the attendant came up to us and threatened to take the balls away So we asked him to bring more of the less heavy balls he said that it wasn't possible and that those balls were only for the women. We have spent money here before, but After this treatment and utter disrepect... i am boycotting.
Great family fun afternoon, too bad service is so poor. Cranky ladies at the bowling counter and food service counter; don't ask for anything, too much of an inconvenience for them. They advertise $10.00 off in a local coupon book, then tell you the coupon is not valid on weekends. It clearly states for you to bowl anytime and nothing about not being valid on the weekends. $65.00 TO BOWL FOR ONE HOUR???? Too bad we are going to need to find another family past-time or just a different location
Fantastic bowling alley for the beginner to the experts. Wicked staff and very clean
This bowling alley is wonderful. The staff are kind and quick to help you out when needed. Also, relatively cheap for the hour! The food from the kitchen was good and it was a fun atmosphere to bowl.
The good was okay and the lady who set up the game for us she were amazing But the guy who was bringing us a drinks i asked for slush and he was refusing to serve us his service was very bad thats the reason i gave one star.
Would be nice if they actually had open lanes anytime at all I've been trying to go here for days but never can until after 9pm can't even go with my wife and 2 year old daughter
Great place to go to, been here numerous times. The last time was a company get together and I must say that the experience was great. Friendly staff and good (bowling) food. They have little ramps ad lightweight bowling balls for the small children to use. My daughter is three and she loved it. Would go again with my family next time. They have lots of different things to keep you busy. A foozeball table sits in one corner and two billiard tables along with I believe are pinball machines.
Bearded tattoo guy name james full of racism. When we entered he already had his mind prepared that he will not let us enter even though we showed him proof of vaccination. He said i have right to refuse anyone because i am the boss. He said you can argue or try anything but i am not let you guys enter. This guy need to go . Such a shame i dnt even wanna give one star to this location
They should get zero stars. Very poor customer service. I have been going here for a while and always play billiards before pool. The new manager was very rude and would not do cash back so I could get coins to use for the game. Each game is $2.00, I am not going to pay a $2.50 fee at the atm just so I can play a $2.00 game. Very rude.
Let's Bowl is a great friendly, family place to bowl. The owner is very nice and ensures customers are happy! Number 1 bowling place in Calgary!!
They made a mistake and double charged me i called and they fixed it ASAP no questions asked! great service
We had a family event here on the weekend and the staff could not have been more accommodating. My mom is on oxygen and walks with a walker but because of the staff and the accommodations here she was able to bowl with us and truly make it a family event. I would 100% recommend this place to everyone! Thanks for a great afternoon.
The basic demands for customer service are not met in my personal experience. The staff was old and very grumpy... The equipment is very outdated. The sales associates don't even smile a bit well serving!
Wanted to just do 2 games but was told they only do by the hour. Website says other wise. 64 bucks for 1 hr of bowling for 2 people. Won't be back.
