It was supposed to be $35+ tax for haircut, wash and style. Nobody washed my hair neither before nor after the cut. What the point in styling if I’m going home to wash my hair. Barber Raina couldn’t even properly shaved my neck, just trimmed it. They also give you $10 off next haircut if you leave a good review, that’s why other reviews here, are very biased.

I have been to this location a few times and have had great service! This time I was booked with Iliya and he tried to change the cost of my haircut from 32 to 62 for no reason. When I confronted him he said oh I thought you would want more. I would watch out when booking here. Needless to say I will not be going back.

Update to the below: after Brian left T&C at One York, I started seeing Jo and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new barber in the area. One of the best I've been to. I've been going to see Brian here for ~6 months and have always been very impressed. As others have mentioned, he's very detailed and clearly takes pride in doing a great job. Overall a very conveniently located, reasonably priced barber shop with friendly barbers.

What is going on with this place? The turnover rates are absolutely insane! Every two months there is a new crew of barbers, except for one or two. I’ve been a customer of Taylor & Colt for nearly a year. I fell in love with Brian. He was a great, chill guy who was excellent at what he did. Out of no where he quit and moved to a different shop. This was a major loss for the shop as he had a strong and loyal customer base. My last haircut was with Dimitrios. It was an unbelievable experience and I was super happy with the cut. He’s a world class cutter. During my cut, three people came to the desk asking if they could book with Brian and were unfortunately told he had left. Not even three weeks later I noticed that Dimitrios left the shop. A lot of the five star reviews on here reference those guys and it’s tough to see them go. The high turnover of barbers is unlike any shop I’ve ever seen. Management really needs to address this issue and look at how they can retain barbers. It’s incredibly frustrating for customers as we are constantly being bounced from one barber to the next. It’s evident by the turnover and the edgy vibe in the shop that there is turmoil between the owner and the barbers.

Went in with long hair which I wanted to cut, I arrived earlier to ensure that the barber, Vlado, was able to he was able to do so. At first, he admitted he wasn’t able to style long hair — even though my appointment was booked specifically for long hair— but after I explained what I wanted, he said he was able to do it. Now, after leaving my appointment visibly unsatisfied with the service, I went to another hairstylist who explained that he damaged my crowsnest, my hair is beyond repair, and had to get a buzz cut. Very unprofessional, and would not visit or recommend ever again.

Ongoing MAJOR COVID VIOLATIONS: Numerous times I've walked past the store since July 2, 2020 and nearly everyone isn't wearing a mask - including both customers and staff and also when crowded inside. This is currently illegal in Toronto and unethical given that they are a business that serves this community.

WORST haircut I have ever had! My barber was sick, (coughing non stop, sniffling, did not look well at all), at one point he coughed into his hand and touched my head. It was DISGUSTING. What type of barber company would tell their employees to work when they straight up have the flu? What kind of barber would go into work risking the health and safety of their employees? Came here because my usual barber was sick. They were great at accommodating a walk-in - I was seated immediately. However, it's very dependent on who you get. I was seated for less than 10 minutes and was told that "it's done". Weak haircut, bad fade (very choppy), no wash. $35

I've got the same experience as @Nikita Borisov a week ago. 5 star for the barber's work, 1 for cheating me. Total 3 is fair. I asked the barber for fading - that's all I needed. No wash, no scissors. The receptionist charged 35+tax on my credit card. I didn't notice immediately (yeah, I didn't pay attention, well who would expect to pay 40$ for cutting sides??), I came back in a while and had to have a long discussion, until I proved it was a basic service. Apparently they don't have such an item in the price list. Well, finally I got refunded 10$ in cash and... my overall impression is not the best. P.S.: Following the advise in the rude owner's response, I am "doing the right thing" by taking one star back. As it follows from the response, this place is overpriced. For just a buzz cut fade you pay the same as for wash+fade+scissors+style. Was my review offensive? Sorry, I just explained the situation. At least my review was truthful and not 10$-paid as others.

Decided to visit this barber spa for the first time because I live in the same building. Overall it was a pleasant experience, I've booked an appointment with Jo (was very lucky that there's one more slot left with him on the same day as I've heard many great reviews about him) and was satisfied by his work. Experienced barber who knows what hairstyles is most suitable for you depending on your hair texture. I asked for a low skin fade with a textured top and was truly amazed! For $35 (tax and tip not included) it comes with a haircut (of course), hair wash, and styling was very nice :)
