I've gotten two cuts here with Rick, and I've gotta say, I can't imagine going anywhere else. He does excellent work, and it's pretty affordable, even if you tack on a beard trim. Rick and the other barber (Jason, if memory serves?) are both really cool guys, amicable without being TOO chatty. Plus they always have good music playing, and the place is well-decorated and always spotless, so the atmosphere is good across the board. Can't recommend these guys enough!

On top of great haircuts, the shop also does great things for the neighborhood with regular organized community clean ups. Super cool. Oh and make sure to treat youself to a straight razor shave, it's awesome!

I stopped in on opening day with the desire to make an aesthetic change. The shop was bustling with folks casually talking, and really had a warm feeling upon entering. I already felt at ease, despite the slight anxiety from deciding to shave my head. Jason was taking walkins, so I sat on the bench after he offered me a drink and watched him work through 2 other clients. I was impressed by the care he takes with his tools, and their heads. He was clean, precise and thorough in his work. By the time it was my turn, I was totally at ease and ready for it to happen to me. I'd never been to a barber shop before for a cut, so Jason's calming nature of explaining what was happening was very welcome. Within 20 minutes, I had a bomb Mohawk with a fade. Not to brag, but I'm definitely bragging, my hair is boss. If you're looking for a traditionally unique experience with talented barbers, check Jason & Lee out, you won't be disappointed.

We’ve needed a place like this!! Cornerstone is a true modern barbershop in the classic tradition, something that had been missing in downtown York for years despite all of the recent development. Jason and Leeanthony have opened a shop specializing in fades and full cuts, with fast service and friendly barbers who know what they’re doing — all at fair prices! Rum, traditional tattoo art, great music and vintage salvaged furniture give this place a cool, hip vibe while you chill (part old-school gentleman’s club, part pub). Legend has it that the heavy steel barber chairs were restored from the original barbershop underneath Continental Square. You’ll leave feeling relaxed and looking like a new man!

Since the pandemic hit and Lancaster city closed down I had been looking for a good quality haircut. After doing some research online I stumbled across this little gem! I booked an appointment and couldn't be happier; Jason and Rick have a great take on modern day barbering, with attention to detail and great quality, you would be hard pressed to find a better cut. Their rates are incredibly reasonable, leaving your hair and wallet happy! I will absolutely make this a monthly pilgrimage 10/10

Went on a whim and decided to stop in the shop looking for a new barber. The environment was just as clean as it was friendly, all with talent to match. This is the BEST barbershop around. Jason has been cutting my hair and shaping up this beard for 2 years, always on point. You need to stop in here and see Jason and Lee and get a haircut or an old school hot shave. They do a PHENOMENAL job and are so skilled at what they do. Glad to have someone who is very talented and takes their time to give someone a great cut. Appointments are needed due to COVID, but it's extremely easy to make one on their website. It will even automatically create an event in your calendar and send you reminder texts.

I just moved from NYC and have tried more than 5 shops and this was by far the best. The ambiance was very welcoming and relaxed. My barber Rick was super professional and gave me a bit of a consultation and took the time to ask what exactly i wanted and performed an excellent job. Took his time and paid attention to every detail. Ive gotta say that this is hands down the best place for a cut in York. A definite must go. Im a regulr after this first visit.

Had a cut scheduled with Rick through their website which was super easy. Rick did a fantastic job. Great communication, excellent execution, very professional. He listened to what I wanted, checked that he was giving the cut that I asked for, and the result was fantastic. Loved the hipster vibe in the shop and they had the music to match it. Price point was very good. Best $25 bucks I'll spend this week. Very happy. Quit searching and start getting your cuts from Cornerstone!

First thing I noticed when I walked in was how interesting the shop looked and how clean everything looked. Everyone was wearing a mask which was important to me and I watched them thoroughly clean their stations before their next haircut. The way they book their appts was very easy but I wish they could do walk ins. Jason and Rick were very personable (I had Rick) which is always appreciated because I usually find a silent haircut unnerving. Haircut turned out great and I can't wait until they can do beards. I will definitely be coming back.
