Well I am a single mom, have been saving my for over a month to get my hair done. I originally wanted one solid color and then decided to do a nice subtle balayage. Espresso and dark brown. Like I said subtle. After sitting for close to 3 hours and 200$ later. My espresso color is orange. Or pretty darn close to it. Between an orange and a blond. I have an olive skin tone and would never ask to go to that light of a color. Also, considering I showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted I am unimpressed to say the least. Salon 61 is the only salon I have gone to since living in woodstock for 6 years. I can only afford to get my hair done once a year due to the high cost.
Now it's Christmas time I am out 200$ and will have to get a box of dye from the drugstore to attempt to repair it myself. So 200$ bucks just to cover it with 15$ dye just to get the orange out. Sarah the stylist did offer to correct the lighter color and make it darker. A) why not just do what I ask in the first place B) what she did damaged my ends to the point where I will now need to get an additional inch cut off.
Some of you are lifers and love it, and I did too until my choices and decisions were not considered and I think Sarah just wanted to do what she wanted to do leaving me unhappy exhausted and out a large amount of money. I actually embarrassed of my hair and I went there too because I was long overdue for a hair cut and now my ends are so damaged I have to get more cut just to repair it. I'm not trying to steer anyone away from the salon but maybe just be extra careful that you get exactly what you ask for. Especially at the prices they charge. No different really than other salons but it's expensive wherever you go. I don't mind spending even more as long as I THE CUSTOMER get what I ask for.
Disappointed to no end. Will not return
