When you walk into Gossip Hair Salon, you Immediately sense the feiendly and welcoming atmosphere. The premises are clean, tidy and bright. One thing I like most is that they reclcle their products and hair. Each of the staff are professional and very artistic when it comes to styling and colouring hair; I cannot say one is better that another. I have been coming to Gossip for a few years now and still cannot believe that I have never written a review. From my very first conversation with Alaina (the owner) on the phone, I knew that this was going to be an amazing experience. She has ALWAYS been professional, on time, very accommodating when it comes to scheduling or re scheduling appts, she comes with an amazing wealth of knowledge of colour/s and cuts (which is not an easy task when it comes to my hair), she has never rushed me, her salon is always absolutely clean and her techniques are always on par with current trends. I have bad OCD when it comes to germs and grim and I have NEVER had an issue with this salon. I was scared as were a lot of people in this pandemic when things re opened, but because she worked so hard while the shop was closed to ensure everyone's safety (masks, hand sanitizers everywhere, contact tracing forms, no extra people in the salon that did not have appt's, keeping the door locked as to not have people wandering in and out and contaminating the salon, water bottles given instead of water cooler, partitions with plexi glass to keep everyone safely distanced and she even re arranged the inside to make sure people could walk around freely without having to come in contact with other people) she did all of this to keep us the client's safe. No matter what words I write here will never amount to the knowledge and talent this lady has. She truly is a skilled champion in her craft and I have loved every appt I have ever had. Thank you Alaina for everything you do, thank you for your talent and for putting up with my inability to make hair choices prior to coming in! Thank you for always making me feel great!

I needed a complete transformation on my hair and booked in with Alaina. I set 5 goals for my appointment and Alaina hit all 5 out of the park. She looked at the pictures I brought and listened to what I was asking for. She explained processes and key terminology and I feel that she took such excellent care of my hair and waited the time necessary to gently create the hair I was looking for. I went from a faded, grown out brown balyage to beautiful bright blonde peek-a-boo, moneypiece with fun and flavorful peachy underlights. My hair is a masterpiece really, thanks to the skilled work and patience of an excellent hair artist. Thank you very much Alaina.

I’ve been going to this salon for a few years now ,this review is way overdue. Alaina has made her clients feel safe by asking you to call and or text the salon when you are outside. The door is locked and your stylist will meet you there. It’s nice to know not anyone can just walk right in. Alaina is always on time which is very important to me, and she has never double booked another client while I’ve had an appointment with her , which I appreciate. Overall the salon is lovely and all the staff here is friendly

Just had my haircut with Mersedeh. As usual my haircut was fantastic. Mersedeh just moved over from another salon and I was able to find her here at Gossip Hair Salon. Started coming here for my tattoos but eventually ended up getting my hair colored here. Great atmosphere. Everyone working here is nice. I go to Alaina for my color. Just did it green and love it :) another great thing is prices aren't over the top aswell. Also like to add that they are about a green planet so I'm sure they'd have more info about it on a website.

Alaina is amazing with colors. I think I am close to having every color of the rainbow. She did my daughter's virgin Chinese hair to platinum in 1 sitting. My other daughter's have had their hair done by the other ladies of the shop when Alaina is not available. My teens have always been happy.

The hairdresser Karen completely ruined my hair. I asked for chocolate brown with caramel type highlights and for some reason she kept insisting that it would take multiple appointments to go blonde. I found out why at the end of the appointment when my hair was blonde on top and brown on the bottom and the hairdresser essentially kicked me out of the salon, saying the appointment has run over too late and she needed to get home to her daughter. I had even sent her photos of what I wanted beforehand- if there wouldn't be enough time shouldn't she have let me know? I had to get the colour corrected at another salon and luckily found a good hairdresser who knows what they're doing that way. I hate leaving bad reviews but I would stay far away from this hairdresser, she does not listen to what you want and I have no idea how I ended up with the dye job that I did.

Mercedeh has been our family hair stylist for almost ten years. She remembers me coming to her when I was pregnant with my youngest son. She has been the only stylist my kids have ever known and they love her. We all do. She is so friendly and kind, and she is a great stylist. She has become a friend and I will follow her wherever she goes. If you need a great stylist who is also a sweet and gentle soul, go see Mercedeh!!! You’ll love her too.

I'm giving this 2 stars only because I liked my hairdresser, Mersedeh. Otherwise, I found when I arrived 8 minutes early that I couldn't wait inside as they keep the door locked. Supposedly because there is a liquor store next door,but none of the other businesses feel compelled to do that. I wasn't told when I phoned for my appointment the week before that they have a policy of keeping customers standing outside waiting, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered going there. I normally go to a different salon, but this one is much closer to my house, so I thought I see what this salon is like....I won't go back.
