Booked an appointment on Tuesday night for 6:00pm. Came to barbershop early and barber told me he’s running behind and earliest he can take me is 6:30pm. So I rebooked for Wednesday morning at 10:30am because I had plans for Tuesday night and couldn't wait. When I came to the place in the morning the barbershop was close, I was waiting there for 20 min and nobody showed up.I had really bad experience, do not recommend this place.

It’s a great salon in keeping with the style, ambience, and luxury known for, but I’ll have to say the standards are not quite up there with the Delhi branch for example. I’ve had four visits at this salon now and I think the barbers are a little inexperienced (at least the ones I got an appointment with were) right now. Things will get better eventually, but there are small little details the barbers are missing out on at the moment. It still is one of the premier salons and you do get a nice, warm welcome but I’ll stop short of rating it 4 on 5 at present.

The standard and ambience of the salon is just as great as the name suggests. The front office desk has really treated me well and I was enchanted by his service. The barbers were amazing with their hands. Truly said that an organisation is known by the members that it keeps. I would really suggest you all to give a try once for sure. Though I was really amazed to see that ahegative reviews. I am really sure they are misunderstood!

I’ve been here a few times and have always left very happy with the customer service and the quality of the cut. However, the most recent time I went I had an appointment and went to enter the building but didn’t see anyone inside. I entered anyway and was going to wait for someone to come, but before I could, one of the staff yelled “Hey!” at me from the corner in a fairly unfriendly way. I proceeded to tell him I had an appointment but he continued to be fairly unfriendly and snapped that I had to wait outside. This was just after the COVID restrictions had lifted so I understand that they probably had some new protocol for wearing masks, sanitizing hands, etc. I should have waited outside, I just wish he had spoken to me in a bit more of a friendly way. (5 stars regardless)

Very frustrated with the unprofessional and inaccurate quote time. Went in at 5:30pm and was asked to come back at 7pm. Waited around Lower Lonsdale only to return and find 2 other clients ahead of me. Would have preferred being told that another day would work better. Worst part is that they give excellent hair cuts, but won't be going back because I felt that they completely disregarded my time. Responding to owner: Friend, a sarcastic response seems unwarranted. If I remember correctly, YOU asked me to come back at 7pm. It seems reasonable to assume that I would be next the next person to be served at 7pm. My hope in leaving this review is that your quote times will improve. I genuinely believe that you guys provide excellent haircuts and are very good at what you do. My frustration with the service was feeling that the value of my time was completely disregarded.

Been going here for awhile now, since moving to the area. Staff I’ve met are all wonderful easy to talk to and take care of your needs. Sam the owner is a great guy and is always pushing himself to make the barbershop experience even better. During all the covid times I’ve gone never felt safer and enjoy going there. It’s a barber shop like no other, kinda reminds me of being a kid and going to the old time barber shops quality service, friendly atmosphere, and great value.

I’ve been coming here since they opened a couple years ago. I’m picky about where I get my hair done and have never had a bad cut here. Sam the owner is a great dude and everyone in there knows how to cut a proper fade. Just got a cut by a newer guy named Yago and he cut it exactly the way I wanted. This place is located in a prime location right off Lonsdale. The hospitality as soon as you walk in is amazing. The inside is very clean and organized and Sam and Alex know how to make their clients feel welcomed. I went in today with my friend and was very pleased with the customer service as well as the fades. If you live on the North Shore, you gotta go get cuts from this barbershop. I called them in the morning, booked an appointment for the afternoon, a little lucky but still great. Walked in and was kindly greeted as well as offered a complementary beverage. Only waited about 5 minutes before Sam began cutting off my mop. He was very kind, well-mannered and most of all a PHENOMALEL barber! The name of this place is exactly how they treat you. The moment I came to North Van and heard that a cut was 35$ I thought it wasn't worth it. I went to many Barber shops around the area and not one was worth it, except for The Gentlemen's Chair. If they told me the price was $50 I would gladly pay it after the consistent and beyond service I keep getting from this place. The moment you walk in they offer you a drink and Sam the main barber and owner says sit down don't worry I'll take care of you, and that is exactly what he does. For $35 you get everything, cut, wash, trim and shaping of the beard, line up, this man trimmed my eyebrows for me which I nobody has ever done that in my life on this earth. Sam pays great attention to detail, while having great advice and just a nice conversation (if you don't want to talk he also will silently and peacefully take care of you). He probably gave me one of the top 5 best cuts in my life today and I wasn't expecting it. He is now officially my main barber. other plus about this place: Parking very easy to find, they got side and back parking, location is nice right next to Starbucks, the place is probably the best looking barbershop in BC (no cap). Just love the place, will be recommending it to everyone I know but at the same time I kind of want to be selfish and don't tell people so that when I come to the shop its not as busy and have the place to my self. But that is not fair to this place and I want it to be there for a very long time.

Poor service. Got what I didn’t ask for and he was aggressive with my hair. Only asked for a trim that would have took 10 minutes and got a painful experience that lasted an hour with extra stuff I didn’t want in that time too. Do not recommend.

One stop shop for all male grooming needs. Outstanding products and service is very professional. The stylists are very good and know what they are doing. Before every step they explain it to you, even when selecting products to wash your hair or use a particular type of shaving cream. Their beard styling is spot on. I make it a pony to visit them once a month at least. Expensive but worth the money.

Just visited this place for the first time today and it was fantastic! I honestly have no clue what the 2 bad reviews on here are talking about. First someone who is complaining about the price and parking, which is completely insane. The pricing is as good as anywhere I've seen in the North Shore and I've been everywhere, and how is it possibly the store's fault if there isn't parking? I've never seen this as a bad mark for a review so ignore this. Second we have Alen Sarr's review who states that all the reviews on here are fake and that the store had a bad vibe and was expensive for a bad cut. Well I am a very real person and here is my real review which anyone can check as I have done many reviews on google. I have no idea what he means about a bad vibe and the store being hot, maybe I was just lucky but the atmosphere was very inviting and relaxing. They had soft blues playing the whole time and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Finally Alan says he could get a better hair cut at Great Clips. Well I'm not sure what master barber Alan is visiting at Great Clips but this just an insulting and completely false statement based on my experience. My cut was done by the owner Sam and his attention to detail was impeccable. He even trimmed my beard a bit during my cut which I wasn't expecting and I can honestly say I've never seen my beard trimmed so neatly and cleanly. I rarely if ever spend most of my review trying to discredit another review as we all have different experiences, but I felt I needed to do this here because these 2 negative reviews shouldn't even exist. We have one person who didn't visit the store for insane reasons, and another who thinks Great Clips are better than a professional barber. It's just unfair that a new place that is just starting out gets such a poor couple of reviews which people may look at as the "hidden truth" when in reality it's probably just a couple of miserable people that suffer from the Dunning-Kruger effect. Please check this place out, I would be very upset if these guys didn't succeed as I plan on visiting here regularly. Thanks for the great experience Sam!

First impressions walking in: efficient, skillful, and clean. 7 barbers cutting! Staff was very friendly as soon as I walked in. There's a lot of skill here. As I was waiting (not very long) I saw 4 people getting faded with straight razors and their cuts looked fantastic upon completion.

Really great atmosphere at the gentleman's chair. The first thing they asked me when I came in was if I wanted a drink. The haircut was one of the cleanest haircuts I've ever had and to top it off Alex the barber washed and massaged my hair. The price for all of this was only 35$ and I plan on coming back not only for a haircut but for the friendly and inviting atmosphere

One of the best barbershop in Vancouver. Environment and facilities are so nice. I had an experience with keihan who is really accurate in his job and literally care about customer's concerns. In addition, they provide some kind of drinks and you can help yourself easily. Highly recommended.

One of the worst hair cuts I’ve gotten tbh. Atmosphere is quite nice and the complementary drink was nice. However, my barber was clearly inebriated and his shears were super dull. I thought maybe it was the technique, but after the haircut I did some research online and I realized that my hair shouldn’t be getting yanked when it’s being sheared.
