Nothing I'm thrilled with. I'm gonna get it recut somewhere else. Cut was pretty expensive, but we're in the middle of a pandemic so I didn't mind paying a little extra But the cut felt unfinished, and ultimately it isn't worth $41.

I had been to this barber 6 months ago and had a great haircut so I went today for a trim. First I had to wait 45 minutes as there was only one worker but thought this may be because of covid so I didn't mind. I asked for a small trim/clean up around my ears and back neck area but he ended up completely butchering my hair with a very bad attempt at a uneven fade I never asked for, very patchy long hair still around my ears and cut my cowlick way too short as if he didn't know how to deal with it. He also seemed to be intoxicated of some sort (basically seemed to be drunk), as he was stumbling/clumsy consistently throughout my appointment but I really hope this isn't the case. I shouldn't have paid the $41 but I have learnt my mistake. Very disappointed and after looking at the reviews I doubt I will be able to get a refund and will be finding a new place to go tomorrow. I recommended to stay away from this business entirely.

I was stood up my first appointment but gave it a second chance and was glad I did -- great haircut. Changed review from 1 to 5 stars. Changed back to 1. Seems like new people took over. The price advertised outside for students was later told me that it didn't apply to university students. Also I asked for no product and he put a bunch of stuff in my hair anyway.

I'm new in Vancouver and literally came to Ace High Kits after reading the reviews (who gets a 5/5 rating, seriously?!) Jaycee was incredible: professional, great chatting to and just plain amazing in what she does. Won't bother looking for another barber shop ever again..

Tried it out after I saw that the previous shop changed ownership. I let it go as I didn't want to argue about it, but the website is severely misleading for the student discount. I told the barber I was a university/college student (had an ID), but was told the student discount only applies for elementary and high school students. Not sure if it's a mishap online, but that's a pretty big inconsistency compared to the marketing. Otherwise, the barber was friendly and did a fairly good job (and not rushing when other clients walked in), but I did notice that one said was shaved slightly higher than the other side for my undercut.

My first visit to this location was really disappointing with a barber who didn’t seem to know what she was doing. She has since left, and I returned to see Jaycee instead. Jaycee is an awesome barber. She gave me exactly what I wanted, with the same level of skill and service I’ve come to expect from the downtown location. Great cut for a great price!

Be careful! This is no longer a 4 star barber. My recent haircut was a shocker. Not only was one of my clear instructions not followed, when I got home I realized half (yes half) of my 4 inch fringe was shaved down to 1cm... my daily work routine now involves combing my long half over my short half while it grows back...The ownership recently changed and the guy seemed nice but can't understand what on earth happened.

This was the worst barber experience I've ever had. I phoned several times to book an appointment and no one ever answered the phone, also the voice message is very poor with the guy mumbling and such. After several attempts on different days I finally left a message and it was only returned over 24 hrs. later - not a great start! So I come in for my appointment expecting a busy shop giving the poor response time and the shop is completely empty with no music on and the barber in the back room - it really didn't feel like he was getting much business. The barber really didn't seem to know what he was doing, being hesitant with some of the instruments. The haircut was very poor; the back of the head wasn't faded very well and resembled a sort of bowl cut. Finally when applying some product to my hair he was actively pressing my hair down against my head instead of trying to give it some body. I wanted to get a trim of my beard, but I barely could stay in the chair for the haircut. It is a great looking place, but sadly the service doesn't match.

I'm shocked that this place has such high reviews. It took the barber almost an hour to give a simple kid's haircut. She messed up so much that she gave my little brother a bald haircut. Also, they charged us $31 despite being advertised $23 for a kid's haircut. They said the price change was because of COVID. Even if that's the case, at least notify your customer or update your pricing on the website and the board.

I absolutely love this place. Close to home, great service, and home to the absolute the best barber in town. Jaycee is amazing. I will follow her wherever she goes. Tried Barber and Co and almost every other shop in the city and never knew whether i'd leave happy or upset. Jaycee gets it, understands how to cut different kinds of hairstyles and does it super quick. She's a pro. Couldn't recommend higher. We needed this in Kits!

I had this haircut in Slick & Co a couple of days ago by Farwan. He was nice and friendly and honestly I went there for a haircut because I saw very good reviews. But I was very surprised when on the next day my friend asked me if I am loosing my hair. I was very shocked when he took this photo of my hair where you can clearly see that there is a spot with very short hair. Everywhere around hair is twice as long. I am shocked that this barber shop can charge 41$ and make mistakes like this. When I came by to ask my money back he said that he doesn't remember me and that I didn't make this haircut at his barber shop. I told him that I have a transaction proof on RBC account. Then he quickly responded: "Well if you want your money back then I want my time back instead, you know what I'm saying?" So I left and wrote my review.

Last summer the dude was upset I interrupted his history channel viewing and reluctantly accepted my walk-in business. He was so brash and reckless that he shaved a part of my eye brow off. Then charged me $45 cash when the sign outside said $29, claiming it was the new “Covid rate”. This all is sadly not a joke.

SCAM, NOT PROFESIONAL Stay away, prices are not as advertised, he was rude, excessively rough with the clippers, I asked for a fade and he forgot 3 times what I asked for, and have me a number 1 all the way up... Not a fade. I asked. Him to charge the advertised price on the website and I was there for 30 minutes talking about it. This haircut took 1.5 hours for a 20 minute haircut, RIDICULOUS.

I was hesitant on coming here because of the reviews but needed a last minute haircut. The reviews are correct- the prices the guy lists on the sign outside and on the website are not what the actual prices are. It's $41 for a regular cut and $51 for a bald fade. When I asked him why the prices were different, he mumbled something about Covid raising the prices. It's definitely false advertising/scam. The haircut itself was okay but it really wasn't worth the $41 I paid for, let alone $51. I sensed something a bit shady about the guy. I don't recommend this place.

Great shop! Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and easy to get to. Had a few sessions with Kyla and she's great - very happy with the results! Definitely a thumbs up for this place.

I have been seeing Abu for my last few haircuts. Started going there for my haircuts since around Nov 2020. I've always had a good experience. My friends compliment me on my haircuts. He's a good honest friendly guy, knows his stuff , always have good chats with him. I'd say he isn't the cheapest haircut and not the most expensive kind of down the middle which is where it should be in my opinion. Parking was easy, street parking was only 1$ an hour so cheap parking to boot. I like supporting the local shops , especially these days. I would recommend him. I don't usually write reviews but when I saw someone complaining with a 1 star review cause they paid 5$ for parking and didn't even get their hair cut..... I thought Abu could use a review from one of his regulars, not sure where the last guy parked since it's only 1$ an hour?

I went here on Monday Dec 21st at 2pm, hoping to get a decent cut, I'd heard good things and saw good reviews. You can imagine my disappointment and genuine anger when I went in to confirm they were taking drop in, leave briefly to pay for parking. Only to come back in after having paid for an hour only to be told rudely by the single barber in the shop to leave and come back at 6pm! He couldn't even be bothered to take his cell phone off speaker phone and politely tell me. He simply tapped on a clock telling me to "come back"..... So now I'm out $5.00 for parking. I'm sure they cut hair well here, I'm sure lots of people have had lots of good experiences here. But today was a miserable demonstration of business ownership. Do yourself a favor, find somewhere else to go.

Place only recently became slick & co. Got a cut from one of the owners who did an amazing job. The military/student discount is also a really considerate touch. Strongly recommend, will be getting cuts from here from now on.

I would NOT recommend this place. Worth going elsewhere for sure! I asked for a fade and the barber instead cut a line (0.5) right into my hair at the top without fading. When I got up to leave he told me I had to pay $25.... HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO ELSEWHERE!!!

- advertisement board outside had listings of haircuts but the prices blacked out. Should of been a warning sign I admit. - Blade 1 around the sides and backs I asked for. Nothing on top. - Took 30 mins. usually takes my normal barber 7 mins. - Charged 41$ before tip for this. - Usually 18 - 20 $ Crazy crazy crazy prices. This place is a con. Just look at all the negative reviews. Absolute rip off of a service. The place was very clean and the dude was nice though.

Nice place, looks sharp. The barber cutting my hair knew what he was doing and I left happy. But: cost of the cut was much higher than the price posted and it's near impossible to get anyone to pick up the phone for an appointment. So I can't really recommend them.
