Made an appointment today on the phone for 1:15 pm Saturday. The guy on the phone said perfect and asked if I preferred anyone ( first time) I said I don’t. Showed up 10 min early. Walked in, no one said hi to me , greeted me “, or asked if I had an appt. I assumed they would call you when it’s you’re turn. So I sat there, at first when it went over 1:15 I wasn’t upset. Barbers aren’t always on time, it’s normal. I waited over 45 min. When I got to my seat at close to 2 pm I mentioned that I had an appt for 1:15. The guy who was cutting someone else’s hair said to me “you’re late! Haha”
I will admit by that time I was pretty short due to waiting over 45 min. I replied that I’m not late, they are. This is when things went completely wrong. Instead of apologizing and simply trying to correct the situation he mentioned that he never saw me! I was there for over 45 min!! And we made eye contact. He continued to push that I should’ve said I had an appt.
Why didn’t I say anything 30 min in? Because I didn’t know who I had an appt with, and no one said anything, so I was a little confused and didn’t know.
I watched other people walk in and they seemed like
They know the guys, so my assumptions they had appts.
When was the last time you entered a barber and they didn’t say “hello there, do you have an appt” it’s not the customers job to remind you.
Things don’t end there.
I have never been in a shouting match with a service worker. But here I was with one. Why? Because instead of using de-escalating tactics in a situation like this, they used ever method possible to escalate my anger and frustration.
They blamed me, they shouted at me, and then to top it off
On my way out , one of the guys yelled
“Get the efff out of here”
I cannot comment on the skill level of the place. As obviously, I did not get a cut.
But never again.
