Not much to it really. It's a good haircut, not crazy pricing and good conversation. That last one is big for me....I have a hard time making conversation over haircuts, so kudos. Get the MVP and don't look back. It's nice to have a nice long headrub and worth it every time.

We have tried taking my son here for a haircut twice. Not very friendly service, and the cut was not even. When I asked them to fix it (both times) the sort of clipped a bit then told me the rest was fine. I will not go there again.

I had to wait a while before I wrote this to make sure I didn’t use foil language. I was in today , 4:00 November 29, for a beard trim and a hair cut for my son. I asked for whoever was more comfortable trimming a beard. The lady was a little put out by the comment. Fair enough. My beard has taken 7 years to hit the length it is. I’ve had it trimmed professionally 5 times. It’s only been trimmed once properly. And buy this location. NOT TODAY. Today I received the worst trim I’ve ever received. She had no clue what she was doing!!!!! I’ve never been more upset with the job that was done. Ladies! I know you might have seen my request for someone comfortable with beards as a rude comment. This thing took 7 years to grow. You have no right to bluff your way though it. I will never step foot in that location again.

I went to this place four times. You could get a quick haircut if you are lucky to have your name "on deck" and the free attendants are not overburdened with other chores to do. The price is average, and the attendants are always nice and pleasant. I gave it a fair try but will not go there again.

Took my son here last week so he could get a haircut and decided why not get a trim myself. Bad decision. Kenzie essentially hacked away at my hair after telling her several times I was growing the top and no need to cut it. Also asked her to leave a part on the one side. She instead completely killed the part and I now have a big spot on the other side of my head with a hacked out section of hair. Looks brutal. Do yourself a favour and stick with a local barbershop (Waller, Diverse etc.). At least family pictures are postponed to next weekend due to weather. Not worth the glitz and glam if the barber isn't going to actively listen to your request. Son's hair was cut fine.

Overall I had a great experience here and will be coming back again for haircuts in the future. I'm not sure what kind of styles they do here, but they were able to successfully do my simple one :)

Had 2 of my boys get haircuts there and one hairdresser was young and did a great job. The other was in her 60's and shaking while cutting my 8 year old hair and butchered his hair and even shaving a bald spots by accident. Some one needs to tell her to retire if she can't do the job right.

It’s good to be a guy with places like this in Waterloo. Good for kids as well, easy for dad and son to get a cut at the same time and be on our way to the next activity.

Generally I find haircuts are the same more or less where you go but this place has great atmosphere and it's more about the experience.

I had a bad experience last time but it seems they are lowering the quality each day. This time I was there with my kids. Both the ladies helping us did a pathetic job dealing with kids. One was extremely rude. She kept trying to upsell MVP to me and my 7 year old. On top of that the haircut was the worst so far. I will not go back EVER.

I was hesitant to go here after I read Wesley's review, but I really needed a haircut today and my regular place was closed so I gave them a shot. I must have had a different stylist than he did, because I am very satisfied with my cut. :) Melissa greeted me and cut my hair. She made me feel very welcome the whole time. I also like that you can watch a game while you get your hair cut. I'll be scheduling my future cuts during Blue Jays games haha. As for what the other reviewer said about women's names on reviews: I *did* notice that one of the other stations had the name "Dana" written on the mirror. So yeah, they might be getting their staff to put in 5-star ratings which is kind of dodgy. But I still recommend the place, and I will definitely be going back!

Always come here with my 5 year old son.. leave a good tip every time and we also get mvps.. Come in at 45mins till close with 2 on deck and tell me sorry we are closing.. takes 10 mins to do a child hair cut.. no problem we won't be coming back!!

As soon as I walked in, Mel was there to greet me. She was very friendly and welcoming. She asked if I had ever had the MVP cut. When I said no, she immediately let me know that the MVP portion of the hair cut was complimentary as it was my first visit to the Northfield location! The MVP portion of the haircut includes a shampoo, a hot towel for your face, and shoulder massage once back in the barber chair. For an extra $6, it a great value added option to the haircut experience. I will consider purchasing the MVP haircut on my next visit and will definitely ask for Mel to provide the service!! I like coming here. They let you check in online before you arrive, they are always very pleasant, and the haircuts are good quality. They offer washing and brief massage as well if you upgrade the to MVP, and overall it's a nice store. Good experience.

Not very happy, took my little boy who doesn't like to get his hair cut. He did start making a fuss and before I even had a chance to talk to my son the lady had already told me she wasn't going to be able cut his hair if he's acting like that. First time here. Got a pretty good cut! It was to watch some sports while I waited and got my cut. Very friendly staff. When I was there the line up was small but when I left it was much bigger. I believe you can check it online in advance. I'd go back

I only give it a 3 because when it comes to cutting men's hair some of them are okay.. and some are not very good at it, in example they are not good at doing fades. I wish they got more training in this area since it is a very common hair cut.. but very easy to mess up..

We have gone twice now for haircuts. The first time it was just my kids getting cuts, the second time it was 3 of us. Both times I found the hairdresser in the second chair from the front, on the right hand side to be disrespectful (I think her name was Becca). I enjoy the facility, the other staff, the cuts are decent but I'm dissatisfied w the the manner she presents herself. I'm not sure we'll return which is unfortunate, because the location is great for us.

“ This business closes down one of it outlets, and expects me (a customer) to travel many miles to make use of my prepaid MVP card. It keeps sending me promotional emails, but did not have the decency to advise me that they were closing down their Toronto Bayview branch when I last patronized the branch or via their promotional emails…. It does not offer to refund the unused value of the already prepaid card, nor does it offer to pay my transport costs to their other still open branches in order to use up my card… It seems that this business wants to “have its cake and eat it….” Follow up… After several emails complaining to SportClips Support, I received a phone call from “the owner” of the closed franchise. He said he would send me a check in refund, by Friday. Two Fridays have passed. No Cheque. They took my money, and that’s it… In reply to a further email from me SportClips Support said “compensation” had been dispatched to me, and I would be getting a further phone call from the “owner.” That was 2 days ago. No phone call, no compensation… Stay away from this business or any of their franchises….if that is how they treat customers…”

Whenever I have taken my boys for a haircut to other places I'm never truly happy with the end result. Haircuts are always just 'ok', however since we tried Sport Clips, I have been very satisfied with the haircuts. Service is great, my boys love the atmosphere, and there are some fantastic perks like the Birthday Club and other coupons. I'm glad I have found a new place where I know we will all walk out happy.

So Today I went in to sports clips get my haircut and when I left I went straight to another shop and got them to fix it... Right from the start something was off, I could tell she didn't know what she was doing. I am not a picky person about my hair, I don't style it or anything but this was just bad, also the girl told me she didn't even like cutting hair! i don't need to get into details... On another note, two five star ratings on here from Margeret and Dana? Sound like women's names, well when I was in there they told me they don't even cut women's hair! Stay away from this place, I went over to Bogarts thanks to google for showing me lol, a nice lady from Newfoundland fixed my hair thank goodness!

My preferred place to get a haircut but was turned away today an hour and twenty minutes before closing because they weren't taking anymore customers. Lookup and see less than half the chairs being used. Not the first time on a Friday when it was busy as I have seen customers turned away an hour before close. Would seem you need more people working on what is consistently a busy time.

I asked if she can cut it a bit more but she said she would have to charge me for a secomd cut if she cut it again.
