They have a beautiful interior. Well done and koodos to the owner! I had a cut with a guy with a long beard. Although the service and the atmosphere was great, the cut itself was subpar. The guy had cut my sides in the same length all the way. No gradation. (I'm not sure why) I ended up going to another place the same day to salvage it. Unfortunately I Will not return. Best wishes.

Finally got down to see Safaa at his new place. Man, so cool here! Some vintage barber stuff, and some antique electronics like an old TV and cash register. My fav was the 1920's barber chairs. As always, I walked away lookin so fresh n clean and feeling like a million bucks. Thanks guys! I really enjoyed that espresso too!!!

*This review applies to their new Cumberland location* This is a barbershop that cares about its clients. Plain and simple. I had some concerns about my first cut with them - Safaa responded within minutes with resolution, and invited me back in for touch-ups. Farid cleaned up my cut, and I'm extremely satisfied. Big thanks and props to both Safaa and Farid for their great customer service, expertise and going above and beyond. Highly recommended, and I will be back.

I've been living in Toronto for 6 years and – hands down – got the best haircut ever by the uber-professional Nia Scarcelli. Very intuitive, talented, and attentive to detail. Highly recommended. I have been looking for a new beard barber in Toronto for the last year and finally found one at Steel and Lather!!! Farid is outstanding!!! Yesterday was my first visit and it was simply one of the best experiences I have ever had being groomed. While waiting for my appointment, I observed how fastidious Farid's beard was. When it was my turn, I took a leap of faith and asked Farid, whom I had never met before, to cut my hair and my beard in a the manner he felt would look best on me. Roughly an hour later I was astounded by how skilled Farid was at barbering. If you have a beard that you take pride in and require grooming to maintain it, I would highly recommend Steel and Lather.

After dropping in without being aware that an appointment was necessary, Farid & his associate kindly explained the booking process and offered to re-schedule in the afternoon - an offer I gladly accepted. The haircut experience was tremendous (especially with the steamed towel after the straight edge neck shave) and l'm extremely satisfied with the end result. As you can see from the photographs, the barbershop has invested in a tastefully historic décor which only adds to the experience. While more expensive than a chain store I d argue that it's worth every penny; overall 10/10 strongly recommended

Walked by this place for a while and finally booked a cut today with Safaa. He’s a very talented and experienced artist, and extremely meticulous. They also use top tier tools and products! The shop is tastefully decorated and has a rustic/ vintage chic, and is extremely clean. Hands down my favourite barber! Too bad this is limited to just 5 stars!

I called up checking availability as I’m from out of town, Nia kindly fitted me in promptly. The service I then received was utterly fantastic. Loved every minute of it.
