The place is a mess / disorganized. I think the maintenance people may be high oompaloompas that only come out when no one is nearby. It's strangely complicated finding where to pay (easier to accidentally walk out of the store). That being said it's conveniently placed for me and has often bailed me out. ... very mixed fillings about this franchise.

I always end up remembering why I don't go to Hudson's Bay anymore. Every time, I see a price over a rack that seems interesting for the product I see right under it, and then I go look closer and it's always something else under there, and always pricier. They have a lot of interesting articles, but my visit is usually not worth it. Will probably eventually stop trying altogether.

I really do feel like writing a small novel today, anyone who studied in health sciences can boast the benefits of venting. My favorite part of my shopping experience at the Sherbrooke Hudson's Bay store has got to be the fact that even though I have spent thousands of dollars over there in the past 4 years, I have started being followed *every time* by one of their incredibly reprehensible security guards. Pardon my bombastic behaviour, but "Hey philistines, the store is falling appart, it looks like the old Sears before closure and my winter coat is worth more than your weekly salary." One once followed me in two different stores, all the way up to Simons, he seemed adamant that I was in fact some kind of criminal, but he vanished after I looked at him straight in the eyes. This particular situation induced a sense of bitter acrimony, while leaving me bewildered at the same time; subsequently, I was once again pinpointed by their condescendance. Is it because I have colored hair and a nose ring? Is it because I look around everywhere for hours, trying to find something suitable in the meager selection that is present? Because my height and overall appearance does not fit their preconceived notions of normality? What is their impetus? This type of garb/appearance profiling is both incredibly dubious and representative of a juvenile thought process, but it is also illicit when it becomes an iterative process and a whole new part of your shopping experience. Anyone slightly versed in the stock market is aware of the gradual decrease in HBC's stock value over the last 5 years. What is the point of letting these contemptible individuals act in such despicable manner towards younger professionals and customers who are trying to help a faltering Canadian company? They make me feel unwelcomed and obliged to hasten my shopping. If one were to instigate any form of course of action that would wrongfully incriminate me publicly in the slightest, it will be the onset of a very well deserved lawsuit once I would have requested the presence of actual officers. I will gladly retaliate and transform into the very definition of contentiousness, if it were to create a deterrent that would inhibit them to profile anyone on these types of grounds again. Last time, I came in dressed in a chic black business blazer and a pair of Guess pants (that were bought over there). The sheer personification of a shoplifter? There is nothing more insulting than paying hundreds of dollars after having been chased around by some imperious security guard, mimicking some form of newfound fascination for Karl Lagerfeld's size 4 dresses, all the way up to the counter. I rarely feel like writing such an opprobrium, but my blood is boiling, these kind of practices are far from being innocuous and they embodie the epitome of callous and contemptible judgementally biased profiling. What is the point of studying for years upon years, obtaining financial freedom, only to get profiled by some average man with a high school diploma concerning items you can easily afford? Nevertheless, 3 stars for the very nice staff and their positive attitude, their actions are in no way analogous or slighly intertwined with the infamous band of security guards; therefore, they do not share a modicum of their desingenuity. Salespersons are always very keen to help you, even though they have other things to take care of. In addition, it also is one of the only place where you can find Calvin Klein business attire in the city. Asserting that I did not have any fun whatsoever while write this critique would be a blatant lie, but if any unapathetic manager were to read this, I am urging you wholeheartedly to consider addressing the situation. It is nevertheless a meaningful caveat. Someday, I or any other individual with a keen knowledge of their civil rights, and who is also as cantankerous as I am will be more than happy to abate their anger through legal actions. It is a basic right, but also a moral obligation to remain adversarial when wrongfully profiled multiple times.
