Good haircut but I have no idea why not one single Barber was wearing their mask properly. Every one of them had it on their mouth, with their nose sticking right out. Kinda embarrassing, and also the rules for wearing a mask properly should be enforced much more strictly since you're literally putting your client's health at risk otherwise.

1 star because mitch can’t follow basic instructions, don’t take him as your apt. says he’s in a rush and then takes forever to do exactly the opposite of what you asked. Told him i love my long hair and i insist on not cutting it and i walk out with the same short hair as him. Terrible honestly, thanks for ruining the next two weeks for me.

Booked online for my sons and received a confirmation. Went to Aces about 10 minutes early, only to be told we dont have your confirmation and even when I showed the confirmation was told sorry we are booked for next 2hrs despite having only one client in the shop. Having used Aces for the last 5 years almost monthly I was disappointed to say the least.

I use To love this place but what was a nice barber shop is slowly becoming a saloon. Too much girls working there now. If I go in a baber shop, I expect my hair and beard to be done by a dude, not a chick. Been going there for years now but I'm searching for a new real barber shop. Got there this afternoon and there was 3 girls and 2 guys. I'm not impressed by the changes.

I was a walk in , the receptionist was nice and I was able to have my hair cut (undercut shave) within 20 minutes. It was sort of busy, but I will be back and reccomend you give it a try. Prices seem fair. They also have straight razor cuts and accept children as well.

Took an appointment for the first time, and upon arrival the girl behind the bar tells me that the barber I booked with left early and no one can take me! I took the appointment at noon for 4 pm, you could’ve called and canceled instead of waiting till I got there! The 2nd time, I went for a beard trim, and let me tell you, I would’ve done a better job have I done it myself. Never again.

Friendly place and didn’t have to wait long as a walk in, but one of the worst haircuts I’ve had in a long time. It was so bad I had to get it fixed elsewhere a couple of days later. The cut is uneven on both side, the right is shorter than the left, and he didn’t follow the parts in my hair at all. He also used a straight razor on the back of my neck but applied no alcohol after, so the burn was bad. I don’t think I’ll ever be coming back here.

First couple of times were good, mustve landed a bad barber this time because the fade I got was terrible. You can very clearly see the 3 different levels of hair length, there was no blend work at all. This person was very good with scissors but the fade and clipper work really needs to improve. Had to wear a tuque for a few days before it blended in naturally.

Original Post: 1 star: Such rushed/rough service that my husband had such bad razor burn all over his neck/upper back, we had to get aloe gel to apply to it. Even 3hrs after his appointment, it was super swollen. The guy also knicked his forehead and all along his hairline. Usually get better service... very disappointed with the barber. UPDATE: The owner contacted us very quickly and offered an apology & refund/gift certificate. Although I'd be hesitant to return for a cut, my husband is generally satisfied with Aces' and will be back.

Make sure if you or your kid is getting a haircut here dont sit on the long chairs because they are very fragile and they will tell you not to spin on them.Be prepared to wait past your appointment time and if you are claustrophobic you won't like the tight space. Prices is average, skin fade is extra worn be going back there

I asked for the price of hair cut for my children the lady said 17 CAD they started the work and then after sometime the lady at the bar came back and said they spent more time it is now 25 CAD the kids asked the barber for a design it is 10 more !!!! The owner was respectful and she honored the 17 in a very polite way but I decided to pay the 25 she left then the lady at the reception ignored me when I was trying to pay and in a disrespectful way she told me the barber will take the money the barber then told me it is 57 !!! I told him no he said I punch it I didn’t know ... you have to pay .. they called the owner she confirmed my story then another one came and said this is the last time .. wow they are threatening me and my kids excellent job ... but then what to expect from a ....any way long story short make sure you ask first because you might be fooled and don’t let your kids decide on their own because they take advantage of them and you will end up paying more it is definitely my last time it is a pity how good they treat you in the beginning then everything changes when you don’t agree with them. To the lady owner you are a respectful person but you gone have to chose better employees that deserve to work for you thanks

Incredible cut and very reasonably priced. Everyone working was in great humour despite clients (from elementary age to seniors) coming in non-stop for over an hour. Nice extra bar seating with snacks available as well, and a huge television in case of games happening during a cut. One of the best haircuts I've ever had, great experience.

I brought my boyfriend there the other day. The cut wasn't anything special but in all fairness it wasn't terrible either. What really rubbed me the wrong way was when that it came time to shave the back of his neck, she grabbed the straight blade from the jar of blue stuff,shaved his neck and simply put the razor back in the jar without throwing out the DISPOSABLE blade. Im not a professional but the idea of sharing razor blades is disgusting. Not to mention that it can spread infections. When you are paying 20 plus dollars for a haircut you would think that they could allowcate 50 cents of that for a fresh razor blade to ensure the safety of each client.

Generally good experiences in the past but there has been some turnover in recent months and they may be going through a transitional period. Went this week and saw a barber I have not seen before. Due to a either a language barrier, or a mistake on his part, I ended up with a radical cut I definitely did not ask for. I used the word fade twice when I spoke to him. No fade whatsoever, and a #1 all the way up to the part and the back - beyond repair. Will be heading out of town in the coming days for a reunion, wearing a baseball cap. There may have been some miscommunication, but it is important to clarify things with the customer before going to extremes

Been here twice when my barber at another shop was on vacation. I had 2 different barbers cut my hair, both times I got a terrible haircut. I parted my hair and blow dried it before hand to make obvious how my hair should be cut, and i properly explained everything as well. My part was cut on an angle and it looks stupid now and he realized he screwed up and he stopped half way. You can see he messed up badly. I asked to fix it and he made it worse. I've seen them cut people's hair propely, so i don't know why mine ended up being terrible. Go there at your own risk people say it's great, I'm never going there again. Now my hair is gonna be fked up for another 6 months and I have important events to go to looking like someone threw clippers at me.
