Barber himself is a nice guy but totally failed to keenly listen to his customer. I had been growing out my hair for several months and went to him for a maintenance cut. Despite emphasizing that I required the retention of my length, virtually all my length was gone and I might as well just shave the sides and have a buzz cut.

Doesn’t know how to talk to customers called him first time asking if he has anything available for the same day. Lol the guy started screaming on the phone. Buddy you need to work on your anger issues. I hope you don’t react the same way to your family. ????????‍♂️

This guy doesn't cut hair for a living! He cuts hair because he loves to!!! He just charges money to live. What a great dude seriously and such a clean cut. This is second time going here as I don't live in this city but will always go whenever I'm in town. My son is very picky about his hair ( teenage drama queen ) and Dave made sure every step of the way he was loving it. He asked music preference made us feel right at home. This barber is not looking to just cut hair for a buck hrs looking for lifelong customers to take care of. I'm in the service industry I so get it! Check it out you won't regret !!!!

After being recommended a couple years ago to go see Dan at Trevisanut's Babershop I finally took the recommendation and went. Not disappointed in the slightest! Dan is just plain awesome all around and his shop has an amazing atmosphere! Best cut experience I've had! Will definitely be returning!

The best place I have been to yet. Even better than Hollywood! I knew I was probably in for a treat when I walked in and the old school rock music was a little louder than normal. I waited for the man to finish with 2 clients before me but the whole place has a fun atmosohere so it didn't bother me. The fade I got was exactly what I wanted and was blended very well. I will go back for sure!

Been coming here for some time. The barber always remembers your name. Lots of music decor and just a good ol fashioned barber experience. If you in a hurry it can take a bit of time to get in the chair. Mostly because he likes to give everyone the personal experience.

During a trip across the country, my family and I made a stop in the Soo for the night. In the morning my 8 year old son and I decided we had better get cleaned up before heading to our destination the next day and found Dan’s shop on google which had great photos and ratings. We were not disappointed. Dan was great with my son and I got a top shelf haircut as well. The tunes were great as well as the conversation. Honestly if you are going to Sault Ste Marie, go check him out.

1st visit to Dan's authentic barbershop in SSM Dec 1, 2020. I have about 4 haircuts a year. At 62 that works out to about 248 haircuts in my life thus far, but probably more. This was a one off fantastic experience........fantastic atmosphere, fantastic hair cut from a fantastic barber !!! Sculpted my beard, stash and head perfectly. The guy is an artist, literally. My wife agrees 100%. I'll definitely be back as well as recommending Trevisanut's to all who are looking for a quality and unique grooming experience. I figure I will visit Dan at least for 38 more years at 4 X per year. Hopefully Dan wont be shaking too much cuz he'll be 38 years older as well. It probably wont matter because we will both be a ripe old age with poor eye site and short memories, however, it will be the visit that counts!!

Barber was very fast, paid little attention to what he was doing. Did not give my step son the hair cut we asked for and did what he wanted. Shaved my head when I had asked for just a buzz, missed tons of hair, trimmed my mustache lopsided, and make my beard uneven. Beautiful store front with great music but his work was not what I had expected after reading his reviews. Would not go back if I traveled back to Sault Ste Marie. As a response to what you had wrote to my review. I highly doubt that you remember me as well as you say you do! When we entered your store front, my son and I were both blown away, we complimented you on the old time feel, the music you played, we had great conversation, laughed, talked about the Sault and about where I'm from. We talked about your son and how he played football as I had. There was no scowl on mine or my son's face when we entered or left. We had a great time at your store, yet when shown the picture of my son and how he wanted his hair like he had in the photo you did the complete opposite, you shaved almost his entire head and left a tuff at the front. In regards to the head shave, yes I did agree to it but only after telling you I just wanted a buzz cut and not a shave as my skin is sensitive and I break out. You insisted stating that when done right I would not have issues and that you were going to give me the "Full experience". Yes my mustache was uneven as my wife took photos of my beard, mustache and head when we returned back to the hotel, the track lines of missed hair on my scalp that did not get shaved off proved that there was hair left on my head and not just on your towel. Quite honestly I'm shocked by your childish response to my review. Reviews are ment to share experiences with a place or business, unfortunately mine was not in line with your other clientele which had enraged you well over a year and a half later..... Also if you say you remember me as well as you do, please enlighten me as to where we came from and the reason we were in Saul Ste Marie as we spoke about why I was in town for quite some time. To come and bash someone because of a bad experience is quite frankly disheartening and reaffirms that if in the Sault I will not be giving my business to you and will pass along to others to not go either. As you've bashed me as a person over one bad review rather than understand and maybe see why the did not enjoy you resort to name calling and demeaning me as a person, who is actually a very outgoing and joyfully person. Not this scowling rude individual you peg me out to be!!
