I found out about this place sometime last year through a friend. Newcastle Barbershop is simply great. Their haircuts, especially their fades, are on point. The barbers are very friendly and always deliver with whatever style haircut you want. One of the barbers who cut my hair recently is Mike and he's great. I highly recommend this place. They also have an instagram account. So give them a follow. This place also offers military discount to all serving members. Another great thing about Newcastle Barbershop.

I had a really bad experience there. There was one stylist who knows only the one type of haircut. Despite asking him to not take the length of the top, he was so arrogant that he continued doing it, convincing me that he has to blend it in. I am never going there again, unless I need the fade.

Ahmed has cut my hair twice now, I am very happy with his attention to detail and especially his professionalism. He didn't rush even though there were others waiting which I think is the best reason to keep going to him. He is very polite and down to earth which I value greatly. Coming from a small town his humble attitude is refreshing and he's funny. To the owner, you have a very good barber here, treat him well. Cheers!

Great haircuts! Been going there for 5 months now so far the service has been good and at a decent price. The place has a nice interior and is always clean! However, if were to be critical... Currently, there are two people who are working as barbers that I know of. Alex who I think is the owner of the shop is quite knowledgeable and experience when it comes to haircuts. You can ask him anything about hair and he will know what do and will give you recommendations. However, the other barber (not sure of the name) gives great haircuts as well and he dressed nice. But, seem to inexperience when it came to the specifics. For instance, I ask him to taper the sides and he didn't know what a taper was. So he just faded it, which wasn't a bad but not what I wanted. In addition, when I ask him to give me crew cut or an Ivy League but he wasn't familiar with the style. Though, he end up giving me a crew cut anyways, which is the cut the barbers usually do to men. The end result was good however.

Great spot! It's super clean, they've got a bunch of tvs you can watch sport centre or whatever games are on AND they give you a great cut. Been going to these guys for years, even after they moved locations. I have no problem making the drive for that quality of cut and service.

I’m a hairstylist in Ontario and am visiting Edmonton and wasn’t going to make it back in time for school to cut my boys hair myself, so I decided to bring them here. When the barbershop I've been going to all my life closed, I went to so many different places around the city to find someone else as my regular barber. No other shop could get quite what I wanted and was never consistent. I've so far gotten 3 cuts at Newcastle and all 3 times I got the perfect cut. They might be a little pricy compared to most places, but I'm willing to pay more for the quality of work they provide. 100% recommend this place
