Back when I had hair, I loved getting it cut by Mel at Westend Barbers. She does clean, sharp fades and always strives to make people look their best. All the staff are friendly and fun and they seem to like working together, which makes for an even more welcoming environment. If you want a great haircut, go to Westend!

Wow. What amazing service. The other two barbers were sick today but the owner did such an amazing job explaining this to each customer that came in. She was working all alone but took the time to give me a amazing haircut (I waited over an hour for it but it was worth it). The prices are WAY TOO LOW. You need to tip your barber. For this type of quality you should be paying atleast $45, not including a tip. So in reality you should be paying $55 or so just for the cut. If you go for a cut, shampoo and a shave you should be paying $95 at a minimum.

If you are looking for a new place to get haircut, this is it. I highly recommend getting fades of any other type of haircut at this place. Paul was amazing at what he does. Such a professional individual. Definitely going to be my regular place moving forward. Great experience!

My experience here was amazing! Walked in and waited for my haircut. The atmosphere of this place is so welcoming, keep a conversation going instead of just making you sit there in awkward silence. I got the skin fade and a trim and I must say it’s the best skin fade I’ve ever gotten anywhere! Definitely will be coming back for another skin fade. Would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a men’s haircut. 10/10

Excellent Service with fun and friendly barbers. I came in after having lost a fight with my own clippers at home, and showed up at Westend with mullet mohawk looking thing on my head! Lol. I thought I would be laughed out of the Shop, but they were so understanding and supportive... She even said I had talent and should go to Barber school!!! Cash only! Definitely check them out! I went to the Westend barbers because it got good reviews but unfortunately my experience was not up to my expectations. I walked in and stood there for 5-10 min and nobody acknowledged that I had came in . One hair stylist was just finishing a client then walked to the back and walked out of the business, she walked right past me ... they may do good work there but I will never know due to their terrible customer service.

Got a hair cut there today as i have a wedding to go to this weekend..originally thought it was great gave a 5 dollar tip aswell..when i got home i ran a comb through my hair and realized there was a huge chunk of hair missing from one side of my head..it was just blended in with product..i ended up having to shave all the hair off the top of my head..it took her an hour to do the cut and turned out to be terrible and im quite upset..please save your time and hard earned money for a barber that cares or at least has the guys to admit when they mess up so they can figure sumthing out or give you your money back!!..wouldnt bring a monkey here for a trim.thanks

So glad I found this place. I just to PG from Port Moody. Amazing staff. Great haircut. Very clean and friendly. I highly recommend and I'm not going anywhere else. Also, bring cash and they close at 5pm during weekdays.

If you're ever in town on business and have some time to kill, I would recommend stopping in for a straight razorshave. Much like traditional barber shops , this is a small yet cozy establishment nestled away in an unassuming neighbourhood strip mall. The staff are friendly and welcoming and regale you with interesting conversation while they masterfully use their skills to the benefit of the customers that frequent the establishment. Would recommend.

I used to go here for years and I would always see Steph because she gives great cuts. When I called today and asked if she was working I was just told that she doesn’t work there anymore and when I asked where she went they just said “some new barber on 4th”. I find it unprofessional and frustrating that they aren’t telling clients specifically where she went especially after being a customer to this shop for years. Anyways if you’re looking for Steph she is now at King Crown Barbershop at 1240 4th ave.

Mostly good experiences except the barber by the name Andrew takes an hour and a half to cut hair and goes way too short - against what you ask for. Everyone else can do 3 cuts or trims in the time frame he takes to cut your hair - pretty difficult to spend $24 to waste your time. Everyone else is excellent though!

Friendly service, easy going atmosphere and professional cuts every time. Drop-in only (ie no appointments), but quality is the same across every barber there. Prices are lower than most other places in town.

Decent hair cuts but you can show up 45 min - 1 hr before they close and they will turn you away because they have 3 or 4 clients waiting, sucks when you drive across town to be there. Most good shops will take clients untill a certain time and if you don’t get in you don’t get in.

I went in and got my first haircut @ Westend Barbers today and I won't be going back to the chain "barber shop" in the mall again. The atmosphere @ Westend is chill and friendly. If you're in a hurry this probably isn't the place to go to, it's first come first serve. On a late Friday morning there were a couple people ahead of me so it was about a 20 minute wait. The wait was worth it cause when I was getting my hair done it felt like Paul was he asking the time to give me the best cut he could and I saw the other two Barbers give the same attention to their clients.
