I've been looking for a very professional, quality barbershop for a few months now and today I pulled the trigger and went to The Kings Barbershop on Carling Avenue. As I went in I was greeted by Duwayne who I spoke with the night before he was extremely friendly and very professional. I felt immediately that I could trust him with cutting my hair so he got started on my hair and what was a mess of hair soon became a masterpiece with the help of his boss... My husband had an appointment at another barbershop for 10am...checked their website to let them know we might be running late (we live 1hour 1/2 away) and it says they're only open at noon! We call them and he gives us a runaround saying he can only show up at 1035am!! wow...we don't have time for this! SO --> we called Kings and they accommodated within 25 minutes! My husband got the best hair cut and beard shape up I've ever seen!!! Amaro is exceptional!! Definitely worth the drive!! The place was very clean, comfortable, a great ambience and amazing staff!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Shop: *Immaculate*. Barber: Duwayne. Cut: Fresh AF. This man has been cutting hair for a long time and it shows. Duwayne absolutely radiates charisma; great conversationalist and has such a unique technique when he cuts... It sounds corny but it felt like I was in a movie. He actually listened to my desires and was very reassuring (unlike barbers who just want to get the job done asap). I didn't even need to mention I had a sensitive scalp - man, the cut was so relaxing I coulda KO'd right there. I can finally end my 5 year crusade of cutting my own hair. 11/10. Don't think about it, just book the appointment! :)

Went in as a walk in today because I saw all the 5-Star ratings on Google. I asked for a shampoo before the cut because my hair is permed and I had awful hat hair from work all day, and product from the night before. Barber denied my request, I know now because they had an appointment coming up soon, and they went straight to cutting. And they STARTED with thinning scissors. I'm not the type of person to interrupt a professional before I see the end result. All I can say is if you prefer quality over quantity, don't go here.

I never leave reviews on Google, but these guys are a 100 percent deserved of one. I had Omar and he took his time and killed it. Been in ottawa for about 2 years and 1 of which has been with covid lockdowns. So I hadn't found the barber for me yet, but that has changed now. Hair products were pretty cheap too. Definitely coming back here again with a better tip and a couple extra bucks for hair products.

Really nice spot! They were spectacular at making you feel welcome and were great at interpreting what I was looking for in a haircut. I think they had an unexpected rush as there were a few people piled up but they handled it well and I was in a chair before too long. Looking forward to coming back! Update: went in for another cut months later and Omar remembered me! Memory like an elephant but much more dexterous. Looks like I have a new favorite barber!

My appointment was with Omar Abbas and the King Treatment and I have never felt so relaxed and pampered in my entire life. WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING. 10/10. The website works great. Been coming here since the first lockdown 8 months or so back when I couldn't get in to Hairfellas. Boy am I happy I made the switch. I have had several barbers since starting to go here and I am completely satisfied. Omar has a great team of barbers who are all very competent and provide tremendous attention to detail. Today I had a new guy, Amar I believe, was working his second day and although I was a bit nervous, his experience was and care were exemplary.
