I recently moved to Ottawa and had trouble finding a good barbershop that is professional and didn’t have too much of a “boys club” feel to it. Silver Fox hits that note. I was offered a fantastic, Italian coffee upon arrival. My barber Devon was on time, courteous and efficient - not only giving me one of the cleanest cuts I’ve had in a long time, but he also listened to what I wanted. It also appears they have really got it together when it comes to their practice for COVID-19, the place is spotless. If you’re after a great Barbershop in Ottawa, I highly recommend this shop!

They took their time with my hair and the shave, paid attention to detail and were enjoyable to talk to and be with. At the end, I also got a delicious coffee from them. Horrible experience. First of all the barber who was cutting my hair (it was the older gentleman-he never introduced himself), never listened to my request. I asked him not to touch the top of my head, just do sides. He said ok, ok and buzz cut the top! He talks from time to time, but never listened. Asked me the same questions 3 times over. I was with my daughter and she was just rolling her eyes, couldn't believe his ignorance. After the "hair cut" he never cleaned the cut hair of my face and head and just left me there. I tried to make a suggestion at the cash, but I was brushed off and said that the barber has 40years experience, I would say more like 40 days! Will never go to this place again. Spent 30 bucks on a "hair cut" that my daughter can do. I'm not a complainer, hair will grow back. Shame!!

I went there with my son, who was long overdue for a haircut. He is very sensitive, and we did not have much luck with other places including those geared specifically towards children. I think we hit the jackpot with Silver Fox however. All the staff were friendly, professional and attentive to our needs. Marie Chantal was the one who cut my sons hair, and she was very professional and patient. She did an excellent job taming my sons mane, and working around his needs as a child. They even did free shampoo and conditioner. Amazing experience overall, I would definitely recommend this business to anyone! Bonus: They have amazing complimentary coffee!

On Wednesday I had my haircut at Silver Fox the receptionists where very friendly. The barber wasn't very experienced I had to explain myself a couple of times . She gave me a high fade which I wanted a blended fade, the hard part she used a straight razor which I didn't like. My barber always uses the clippers for the hard part, she should learn on how to use her tools. The styling was done with a scalp brush very seen in my life. The place is beautiful but the barber is inexperienced. On the other hand my wife enjoyed the conversation with the receptionists.

I always enjoy you cutting my hair, this time I was attacked by your barbers, The receptionist didn’t have time to greet me who is always very pleasant. I told your barber Ross cuts my hair, they answered she’s good. I felt pressured it wasn’t a relaxing experience at all. It felt like a student was cutting my hair not professional at all, She commented the mirror was dirty talking to the other barber about his client, That’s my time in the chair I’m a paying clients. I followed Ross for his professionalism and his style. I felt I was ignored it was my time in the chair. Forget about what is going around you. You receptionist is amazing and very professional. Sorry Ross it felt like a bunch of kids running the place. I expected better from you knowing from where you came not mention the name.

This place lacks the quality that other places have. I got my "haircut" in 18 minutes for $30+tax. It doesn't blend on the sides so it looks like a cheap home cut. I was also told that they would wash my hair in the price but they did not. Also, no neck shave (but not sure if this location provides it but should with the high price).Also, the owner + receptionist do not wear masks.
