I have been satisfied with a hair cut just a handfull of times. I am very picky with my hair. The barbers at Maestro have to be the most welcoming, friendly, proffesional barbers I have met. They do an amazing job at what they know. I was very impressed when i put my galsses on and saw all the clean line work on my beard and hair. If i could give more then five stars I would. 100% would recomend to anyone. The price is average. Good bang for buck!

I'd never really received compliments on my hair until I started going to Ahmad. And so I specifically switched shops to follow him when he opened up this new location, which is a beauty. Not only does Ahmad take the time to understand what you're looking for, but he explains why he's doing things a certain way, and the result is perfection. I don't even need to tell him what I want done anymore, he just remembers and gets it done. I have, and will continue to heartily reccomend Ahmad to anyone who wants their hair to look its best.

Came in with an appointment. They were on time. But my hair was cut in 2 minutes with very little care. I even gave a decent tip to try and be generous. I felt unwanted. Like I was just supposed to go in and out. I asked for it much shorter then it was, and I still have full length hairs on the top and front of my head because it was briefly trimmed through. Guess it's just another failed attempt at a decent haircut.

Got a great haircut and had a good chat with the barber as well. Highly recommend to anyone looking around for a haircut, you won't be disappointed. As to the COVID-19 procedures, the barbers all have a certification at their mirror with details stating they have trained to disinfect and sanitize correctly. And I saw them do it as well, so you can trust that you will be as safe as you can be in the current climate.

I was not impressed. Went to get a haircut on the first Monday they were open. Ahmed cut my hair. The haircut was OKAY at best. He was really rough and I felt like by the end of it, he pulled out more than he cut. When I went to pay, he told me it was $27 instead of $22 because of the "covid-19" fee. While I understand, it's hard for everyone who was closed for a while and now new precaution and cost arose to continue to stay open, it would have been nice if I got a heads up before he started or when I booked. When I asked why he didn't say anything before, ge told me "oh you must be new here because everyone else knows". You've been open for 2 DAYS, you're telling me every customer has come in within 2 days and is well aware of the new surcharge? Or perhaps you called everyone before hand? Not so much about the extra $5 (although a lot of people are out of work and it's tough for us too) but more about the courtesy of letting customers know before hand. All in all, the regular $22 is not a bad price, but with the $5 fee, the service and the haircut I got, it's not worth it. I'll find somewhere else. Thanks!

I called the day before and made an appointment for 1100, but when I arrived at the store at 1050 it seemed completely closed with the lights off and no one inside. I called several times and could hear the phone ringing from outside but received no response. Surprisingly, the sign out front said that they should have been open since 1000, and despite waiting until 1115 no one came.

I wanted to try this place because of the great reviews and also because my barber of a year left town and I'm in search of a new place. I made an appointment and arrive 20 minutes early. Someone asked if I had an appointment and with who. 25 minutes goes by, the barber is late for the appointment because he was chatting with friends. All good I thought to myself, the haircut is what matters. I've never seen someone rushed through a cut such as this, 10 minute's and done, for a fade and trim. I asked for a 0.5 fade and the barber did a 2. Strands of hair uneven, extremely terrible. It's a shame because as I waited there, I was excited for the haircut as I saw other barbers so focused with precision on their customers. It seemed like they were long time customers though. I never give bad reviews but this place definitely deserved one.

Great fade, great location, but the barber kinda butchered the trim on the top in my opinion, it was rushed and there are literally random long strands of hairs coming out of my cut line, like he literally trimmed the top in less than 1.5 minutes. Good price and very good cut but literally be could have taken a minute to clean up the cut line and it would have been perfect.

My first visit there, amazing haircut!!!.... and told them I would definitely go back. About 5 weeks later, I was back but left disappointed. I was the only customer in the shop, chairs were empty and all the barbers were in the back room. The floor was covered with hair and neck strips. About 5 to 7 minutes later, someone at the back poke their head out and saw me. It took another 5 minutes for someone to actually come out. A rushed / bad haircut and $20 later, I vowed to never go back.

I have to say this is the first time I left a barber with my twins, and my twins were really happy with their hairstyles and how the barber took the time in asking what my boys wanted as a style and not just grab the clippers and shave them. Unprofessional. No one acknowledges you when you walk in. And even though there are 5 barbers available, they all just stare at each other as if they are doing you a favour by taking your money. Today my boyfriend went in to get a haircut, he asked for a trim on the sides to shorten his existing haircut and style. For some reason instead of a trim the barber decided to buzz cut the sides of his head where he specifically asked for JUST a trim. After asking what the barber had just done, the barber said it was “too late” and finished a complete opposite haircut than what was asked for. If the buzz was even done correctly it could have been bearable but it is choppy and uneven. My boyfriend has never had his hair buzzed nor has he had it short in any manner. He is completely embarrassed and upset about his hair as it looks pretty bad, honestly. Following, he asked for no product in his hair because he was going to put a hat on to hide his new hair cut. That request was also ignored as gel was put in his hair. We’re both very confused and upset about the service which he paid for today especially as he is starting a new job soon.

He trimmed my beard even though I didnt ask him to and messed it up. Still charged me though. And it’s not a huge deal but he over-pronounced the line in the cut, it’s about 1cm thick. He was still a nice guy, though. Make sure you explain exactly what you want and will pay for before starting.

I have been going to this barbershop since September of 2017 and have always been highly satisfied with how all of my haircuts. (Who can beat a$20.00 student haircut?) I generally do not post poor reviews on services with a high rating. However, I feel as this review is appropriate to the poor service I received on 7 Jan. I will spare the fine details. I recently asked for a haircut by showing a photo to one of the barbers. The first haircut was great. However, the second time, I showed the exact same photo. I not only got a poor haircut but was refused a refund when I called the following day when I informed them the name of my barber. I received a lot of looks and criticism regarding the cut and I had bad feeling leaving. I ended having to get my haircut buzzed short at another location. The barber at this different location was highly unimpressed with what he saw. He offered to not charge me as it was bad having to enter the barbershop in that state. As a current military member, the haircut was completely out of regulation and no amount of styling would fix the cut. It will take a 2 months to get my hair back to its original length. Highly unimpressed.

Review of a Beard Trim by Ahmed: I found he was very rough, brushing hard through my beard, burning my face with the hair dryer while straightening my beard, and at one point he injured the skin on my neck while trimming. Painful experience. I could also smell cigarettes on his fingers while he trimmed my moustache. That could all perhaps be looked past, however the end result was not satisfactory, as I wanted my beard shortened more, and I was left with a silly looking unbalanced moustache and my side burns removed. He spent about 30 minutes working on my beard, but the whole time it seemed very rushed and the end result was not worth the time spent on it. I was also confused why I was charged $25 when the sign on the wall said $18 for a beard trim. Finally, I was also surprised I was not asked any Covid screening questions or asked to show my vaccine QR code since this was an indoor service with mask removed for half an hour.

The service here is great and the barber shop has a fun and energetic vibe that is very inviting. Their prices are modest and the quality is superior to other barbers. Great barer! He's been in business for long time but this store is new. Amazing furniture and design. Big place, it has private hair wash room, free coffee and other free services offered by the store. Love it and will never go somewhere else.

I got the worst haircut of my life from this store. I showed the old guy in the store pictures of the haircut I wanted. Still the guy messed the maximum he can in my head. He charged me 25$ for a $20 cut too. Never coming back again.

Been going here for 2 years now best barber shop in Ottawa, all the barbers are amazing, great service very friendly and good pricing. My first time there Emran took time to build a plan for my hairstyle and ask what I wanted to transition too which I have never experienced anywhere else. Needless to say I have never been disappointed once.
