I sat for 1 hr patiently awaiting to get my hair cut , upon entering both Nash and Leo acknowledged me when i arrived, as both have cut my hair. I know it’s Xmas eve and busy,so didn’t mind waiting, until I was overlooked by not one but both Nash & Leo as they took other people that came after I arrived. It’s really bad business to think that a women waiting at a barber shop, could only be waiting on her husband/ boyfriend and not actually think SHE’S getting her hair cut . Especially when they both have cut her hair and know why she’s there . I’m disgusted that this is the mentality and I won’t go back

First time in a barber shop in 14-15 years after finally deciding to part with my long hair (donated, of course). Everyone there was super friendly, great atmosphere too. Little bit of a wait but nothing crazy, and in the end well worth it. Shea did an awesome job helping me figure out what I wanted (I’m obviously a bit rusty on what to do with short hair). Great prices here too. I’ll definitely be back in soon.

Hands down the best barbershop in Oshawa... maybe even Durham. All of the guys there know how to cut and style men's hair - fades, lines, cuts... anything you ask. Been going there since they opened and even as they've grown and hired new staff, they make sure they do a good job for the client and get the cut done right so you know you can walk in, sit down, and walk out with a nice, clean haircut no matter whose chair you sit in.

Told my husband to check this place out as they had great reviews I’m not sure how! He went in and asked for a bald fade and his beard to be cleaned up he left with multiple missed hairs still on the top of his head long strands that we had to trim later. The fade line at the back wasn’t straight which seems hard to mess up unless your not paying attention the guy cutting his hair also clipped parts of his moustache he has hair missing in two spots now which he didn’t notice until he had left and already paid for the cut, the wait was over 47 minutes I definitely would not recommend and was not impressed at all he’s not one to complain as he’s an easy going guy but we definitely will not be going back again it’s a shame because the owner seems to be the only one that can properly cut hair!

Southpaw is a great MEN'S barbershop, it's non stop energy!!!! There is everyone talking to whom ever and they make you feel extremely comfortable due to the laid back environment, it's also nice going somewhere where you are remembers either by name or face ! I have been going to the shop since it opened and let me tell you it keeps getting even better now years later, you get to a point where your getting treated like a brother! Its conveniently located opposite Frazier Ford Car Dealership at Thornton $ Highway #2. !! Check it out and you'll be impressed!!!

Leo & Nash have created Oshawas best neighborhood barbershop. Great cuts, attention to detail, and good price. They strive to create a comfortable place to drop into to get a cut. No appointments but the wait has never been long - especially since they have brought in more barbers. Lots of TVs with sports on, plus foosball and pool table to keep my son & I off our phones while we wait for a chair to open. Love this place.

Such a wonderful atmosphere. My entire life going to get my haircut was an awkward experience. Going to salons that are dominated by women, isn't exactly the most comfortable place for a guy. But the second I walked into the barber shop, all that changed. Finally a place by men, for men. A place where there is no such thing as "toxic masculinity", and it's okay to be manly. Their prices are a little higher than a men's cut at lots of other places, but I don't mind paying extra for great service, from great barbers, in a comfy environment. Finally I won't be dreading going out to get my haircut, and waiting two years between cuts!

Decent cuts at a higher cost. Considering the 5-6 times I've gotten a cut there I was never cleaned up with a razor like any other old school themed barber shop I have been to. Nice people but not very personable unless you frequent the club house. I have also had one of the owners bump someone in front of me yet they don't have appointments... Treat customers equally, friends included and you will please everyone. Start picking friends over clients and you will never get their business again.

I'd just like to say a HUGE thank you to Leo Nash and everyone at Southpaw Barbers. Jacob has NEVER (home or salon) had a hair cut that went as smoothly as this one, let alone as nice and clean lined as this one. They were amazing with my boy while we waited and he hardly even flinched the whole time in the chair. He had so much fun, he instantly said its the best hair cut he has ever had and wants to go back there every time he needs his hair done. Up until now haircuts have been something I dreaded but always made it through... This time it became something he's looking forward to doing again... That's a skill and professionalism and love for your work like I don't see very often anymore. To all my friends who have young boys and want them to truly ENJOY that new do.... My husband took my son for a back to school fade, with a simple shave design. The barber was nice but couldn’t do the design (it was a web around his ear). What was worse was that the staff were not masked. Not one. My kids have been getting haircuts throughout Covid, and all the salons/shops they’ve been to have had a mandatory mask policy. My husband and son wore their masks as we had no other time for a haircut. I’m really disappointed and won’t be returning to this shop. You can see all the photos here during Covid and masks are not worn. Also my son didn’t get a fade, he got a straight #2. Not what was asked for.
