I took the one-day SHAVE & SKIN CARE workshop at EIKONIC Barber Academy recently. WOW! They are AMAZING! I totally recommend this workshop. THANK YOU so much Martin and team. I love their professionalism and attitude-free environment. They are the BEST! THE WORKSHOP: We looked at the different phases involved in providing the perfect fade. Step-by-step, we went through preparation, execution and skin care. We practiced on models (one per student). I’ve learned new skills and techniques. Don't get a haircut here ,because don't underestimate how bad students can be at cutting hair. Unlike typical student services, where the students are actually at a level where they know what they're doing , these students are missing basic skills in many areas in cutting hair. Don't underestimate that trained stylists know what they're doing and have the experience to do so. They're worth it . This place should be free or like $5 for a cut. Only go here if you want a buzz cut . That's it . Your hair doesn't deserve this place fam.

My first time, I was taken care of by Minh and he did such an incredible job on my hair, I was so happy!! I got my haircut from Rich; he was very detailed, thorough and knowledgeable about hair. he told me things about my hair I had no clue about - I always thought my hair was heavy but it was because my previous hair stylists never layered my hair. I learnt that I should get a tapered fade with a 2 cut followed by a 1. wherever I went before I'd always feel anxious about how my hair would turn out, but I trusted the team at Eikonic cause they seemed to know what they were doing. definitely recommended!

I was very excited to hear that Eikonic was opening a studio in Mississauga. I’ve always enjoyed going to the Brampton location and there was no exception here. The staff was very friendly and the open concept space was beautifully designed. Rich, my barber, took the time to get my hair the way I wanted. This is the first time that I've gone in for a proper haircut (ie. not First Choice/Magic Cuts/ Supercuts etc...) and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I learned about the characteristics of my hair, what works, what doesn't work, what to avoid and overall had a great experience. Although a little pricier than I'm used to, the amount of time and detail that was put into my haircut combined with the warm ambiance that Eikonic offers was well worth the extra bucks. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

To be honest I’m one of the pickiest persons you’ll ever come by so believe me when I say that this easily the best haircut I’ve had since I moved to Canada 7 years ago. David’s passion and attention to details is second to none. I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great barber shop at a more than reasonable price. See you in a month David!

Really good facility, very clean. Misladice was completely thorough and made sure i was aware of each step and checked from time to time to make sure i was happy with what is being donw. it took sometime but it was worth the wait. I have learned that while women can rely on makeup, men can only rely on grooming to instantly improve their appearance. It is for that reason I make great efforts to care for my hair. The place is divided into two sections: an academy and a barbershop. I can only speak of my experience in the barbershop. During my visit, one thing that was abundantly clear was that I could see the people here are customer focused and very passionate about their industry and craft. I have been to barbers who would cut hair based on their own skill and comfort level regardless of your request. This was not the case here. As it was my first cut, Rich took the time to understand what I was looking for by asking questions and providing insights based on my hair type, facial structure, and style. Rich was meticulous with my hair and provided a level of service which resulted in an experience I felt was of the highest class. I will definitely be recommending friends to share in this experience.

The shop is very big and nicely decorated. The same high level of service is replicated at this store, which is among the best I've experienced anywhere! I can't speak on how well they teach at the Academy, but I went there to purchase Mizutani shears about 2 months ago and have yet to get my shears which I paid over $700 for. Everything went quite well when I was there, Martin the owner educated me about Mizutani and demonstrated the shears. I was going to just purchase 1 pair, but I really wanted the other pair as I was really sold on how it could help me in my profession, so I paid for the 2nd pair even though it was out of stock and I was willing to wait for a reasonable amount of time. It has now been nearly 2 months since my 'purchase' and they haven't reached out to me at all, when I contacted them they said it should come in soon, 3 weeks later and no word from them at all. Extremely unprofessional - I do not recommend this business to buy any Hairstyling/Barbering tools.

Place was clean and professional and the staff friendly. The only issue was the haircut itself. Guy that cut my hair was obviously not too experienced and he messed it up so much I told him to just give me a buzz cut halfway through (though I didn't have the heart to tell him why). He also rattled on about conspiracy theories and did not focus on the hair enough. His hands were shaking as he was cutting my hair. $20 for a haircut given by a novice barber still learning seems kind of steep. I feel like I may have just had a bad experience with that one barber given the amount of positive reviews this place has but the haircut was easily the worst I have ever gotten and that is no exaggeration.

Went to Eikonic last week for the first time. It's a clean and fresh looking faculty with friendly and flexible staff waiting to greet you. I had my haircut by Rich, who did a great job. Rich was easy to chat with and he provided some great tips while educating me on the proper way to maintain the style I went for. After the cut, I was happy with the result and look forward to the next one. The cost is a few bucks more than my previous barber, but the overall experience was relaxing and worth the value.

Eikonic academy is the best choice when it comes to a hair College! You can also go to Eikonic to update/further your knowledge in the industry with a small but very interactive class for a few days in a workshop, you won't regret. As a first class female student I feel very proud to say I will be a Eikonic graduate by the end of the year. Their small classes are great for appealing to different learning styles and one on one time with teachers or fellow students. Not what you would expect from an institution of a so-called Academy. I guess it just tells you right away what they’re teaching these so-called new and upcoming stylists.

Been a long time since I had a hair cut I liked. It's quite the experience. Walk in, the place is massive! Your not rushed one bit, they walk you through and make sure your not agreeing to a cut you dislike. And the cut is absolutely amazing Andrew did a wicked medium skin fade to a comb over. Cant tell you how hard it's been to find a good barber in mississauga but I think I'll be stopping my search here. Ps they got every product you need and a great specialist to walk you through everything. I swear I'm like a 10 year old walking into a candy store ahhha.

I had the worst haircut experience today. I was attended by Joseph who took 1 hr to just cut my length . Then her teacher( who had red color hair ) took over who was super rude to me .. When I asked her name , she responded very rudely and did not tell me even her name . She told me that I should have spared more time if I wanted to get my haircut done .. it was the most pathetic and disappointing experience..that red head teacher should mend her ways and be nice to the customers .. This place treats their customers like guinea pigs and their untrained students do the haircuts.. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!

I've been getting my hair cut for a long time from the same lady for years but decided to give Eikonic a try since a friend referred me. Went in not knowing much of the hair terminology but my barber Richard was very knowledgeable and gave me a great consultation on what would be a good style on me. We ended up going with a low skin fade which I was extremely happy with! Would definitely recommend to anyone for a great experience and I know I'll be back soon!!

Great place to get a reasonably priced hair cut. Great service! The haircut will take a bit longer because it is students cutting your hair but because of this they are careful and take extra care when cutting your hair. I found out this place did womens hair by reading reviews and they did not disappoint. I had a graduated bob that I was very satisfied with. Definately will be going back.

Went to get a haircut from Ronald, was the best haircut I had ever gotten, I was catcalled a week later, and remained irisistible for up to three weeks, 10/10 will go again. Ronald is the best barber in the GTA and maybe even the whole wide world. I wouldn’t pull any shorties if Ronald didn’t cut my hair the way he did. I even use the picture Ronald took of me and my haircut on dating apps such as Hinge, Bumble, and Tinder and my matches have exponentially increased. Wonderful experience with Ronald, would recommend him to anyone, even your mother, sister, shorty, wife, girlfriend, sideting and grandmother since he is an expert at women’s hair as well!

Alex understood what style was required and he didn't rush to get the job done in fact he did each step quite patiently and efficiently. Was looking for a new shop closer to home and decided to give this place a shot. Called in and had Terence book an appointment for me with Rich. Wasn't sure what expectations I should set coming in, but came out pleasantly surprised. Got a simple high fade and was impressed with the scissorwork since I'm not used to getting any detail on the top. Very satisfied with my first experience here and will be my go to spot for cuts now, highly recommend. Cool clean shop, A+ service and they're getting an xbox I hear. Only thing they're missing is candy at the front desk.
