Bashir and the owner did great cuts but last week had a fellow no chit chat at all but he said will do excellent job . Seems he was to answer phone calls too . He used the razor so fast my head was being pushed forward . I went to another shop to fix his mistake . If he is available I will pass on a cut but the other two are good .

Don't go there. Asked for a just a trim. Told him not to take any length off and I wanted to keep it long. Guy spent 20 minutes or so going over and over it again and again cutting more. Very short. He also shaved the sides straight in front of my ears super high. Looks ridiculous, and there was no reason for him to do that. Do not go there.

My 5 year old son had his short hair cut by Michelle today. I wish I could give Michelle and Central Barbers 10 stars. It was by far - BY FAR - the least stressful, most effective (his hair is beautifully cut, even all around) and most positive haircutting experience he's ever had -- including his early haircuts at a very kid oriented salon. We chose this shop simply because my son is obsessed with 'long ago' and walked by and loved the big wall photo of an old streetscape, lol. I'm an ECE and I will be recommending Michelle to every family with young kids I know especially those whose kids find the sensory experience of getting a haircut overwhelming - this was my son's first time with the buzzer, and with that, with the hair dryer (which he hates) and with the water spray to cut his bangs, Michelle was an absolute expert - super calm, super confident, just totally defused his stress and made it a great experience. Also, he looks adorable! Thanks so much!!!!

I could smell cigarette smoke on their fingers, and they definitely didn't bother to wash their hands. PLEASE wash your hands, at least after returning from break.

They have 5-6 staff working at a given time so wait time is drastically reduced. Moreover, the staff is friendly and experienced. Honestly so hard to complain but i have to. Cute skinny tattooed girl cut my hair for over a year and fixed the damage done by another shop down the road. She wasn’t in and the owner? pushed me to the new girl who shaved into almost the top of my head. 3 weeks of misery and my hair still won’t lay down. Never in my life wrote a bad review but I’ve never seen such great to terribly service in a few weeks. Pay the money and go to Tommy guns. Please don’t waste your time here.

Fairly new to Victoria and had Erin recommended to me by a coworker - I won't be going anywhere else in town to get my hair cut now! She may be newer to hair, but don't get that twisted with being rookie quality - she knows what she's doing and is great as stated in earlier reviews in both listening and making educated/tasteful suggestions. Furthermore, she's not awkward, annoying, or dull - great conversation and really talks to you like a good friend. I would recommend her to anyone, without hesitation. The shop in general is a great vibe too, lots of friendly faces and very laid back.

They always take the time and effort to make sure everything is properly blended with great attention to detail. I like their no nonsense approach and relaxed atmosphere. Went for a haircut for the first time and got the most embarassing look ever. I asked for a medium cut and he cut it so short like dude...medium means the same everywhere not too SMALL but.... MEEEDIUM...I never had this problem in the US or any other country before. Very disappointed! Can't believe I'm gonna have to carry this to work until my hair grows back. SMH

BEWARE of Darcy!! (older female barber) Do not sit on her chair (very left side) I usually get 5-10 dollar haircuts. So this review is coming from someone who is very tolerant towards bad haircuts and terrible customer service. A friend recommended Central Barbers. Went in for a haircut on BC Day around 3pm. The line was long and there were 2 barbers (darcy and another middle aged guy with a nice beard). The decor was nice, the shop was quite neat and clean. Everyone in line was waiting for the guy barber, he seemed to be quite competent at cutting hair. I didn't really discriminate, so I sat down on Darcy's chair (on the very left of the room). I told her that i wanted a 0-1 mid fade and don't touch the top. First red flag, she proceeds to start cutting without turning me to face the mirror. I didn't really think much of it, but then she proceeds to manhandle my head with the razor. I literally felt as if she was gonna puncture my scalp with the razor. At this point I should've spoken up, but since I'm a shy and introverted guy, I just endured it without saying anything. After around 5mins she finally turns me around to face the mirror. She basically shaved my head, and somehow the top was very uneven on the right side. When I voiced my concerns, she shut me down and said that's what I asked for. She told me "dont you ever sit on my chair ever again". I left and payed 15 with no tip. I went to the mall washroom to check in the mirror, I was horrified at the haircut (never in my life of getting $5 haircuts did I receive one that bad) so I decided to stand my ground and go back. I asked if she could even out the top, she seemed very reluctant and kept on shouting at me about how I was unclear with my instructions and how she never wanted me to sit on her chair ever again. The other guy barber didnt step in to help me out, he just minded his own business and ignored me. I ended up getting a terrible haircut, being roasted by an older lady and paying $15 for it. What really angers me is the fact that Darcy reacted with such anger and aggressiveness, when I was talking/acting politely and respectfully. I reflected back at my deportment leading up to the incident, but I couldn't think of anything that I did to tigger or offend her. I am very confused as to why she treated me with such anger and hostility. I hope no one receives that sort of unacceptable treatment. To Central Barbers, maybe Darcy was having a really terrible day. However if this type of behaviour is a regular occurrence. I would recommend you make some cuts, it doesn't reflect well on the business as a whole if one barber is consistently mistreating your customers. It really ruins the professional and chill vibe/reputation of your shop.

The best value around. No question. I always get either the owner or the middle eastern girl with the tattoos cut my hair. It doesn’t take much to pull off a number 2 buzz cut but it does take a great barber with personality to remember small details in my life and have an intelligent conversation for the entirety of the hair cut. It was my first time at this barber. Mouses was my stylist and he did not disappoint. After covid and the lack of hair stylists that can tackle a beard. I found it really hard to find someone qualified to style my beard. I had been a loyal customer at Tommy Guns in Langford but the stylist had moved on and with conflicted hours to my own I found it impossible to continue on with Her. WoW - what a surreal experience. Went in for a haircut and the lady freaked when I asked for her to take a bit more off the top. After a lecture about wasting her time (was in the chair for 5 minutes) she figured whacking my head about like a 5 year old was appropriate. Bizarre treatment, must have been having a bad day...

I have used this place for about 2 years now and have enjoyed Hobbie's services who I will give 5 stars as a person. But today was a revelation of how poor and horrible some barbers here could treat a seven years old because I was not willing to drag a disagreement on poor service. Some of the barbers here are great and deserve the public's business, especially the ladies and Hobbie. This same son of mine was once denied the use of the washroom despite allowing others. I took it with a pinch of salt but leaving my son's hair halfway is bad business and irresponsible.

Unsure how to rate my overall experience. My barber Michelle was extremely personable, had an amazing sense of humor (crude the way i like it), and extremely talented. She killed the mullet. However there was a tense atmosphere in the shop... best way to describe it would be toxic masculinity. 10/10 would recommend Michelle to any of my friends but the shop atmosphere needs some changes.

Went here because I got an atrocious hair cut yesterday and needed something to be done about it ASAP. I was about to just get my head shaved but, Erin was like “no, let me see what I can do”. If you aren’t going to this shop and Erin isn’t cutting your hair you need to rethink your life. Worked with this girl over 6 months to reshape my hair after getting mediocre cuts. Please stop wasting your time with other shops and barbers. They’ve been trained classic middle eastern style and it’s the closest middle eastern cut you can get in Canada. GO. Ask for waxing.

I have been getting my hair cut here every 2-4 months for maybe 10 years. I am not partial to any particular barber or stylist, and my cuts have been generally decent. My primary reason for choosing this location is efficiency - they have consistently met my need for either cutting my hair in a short time frame, or honestly telling me it wouldn't be possible. Today, however, when I asked if there was a queue they told me no, and that I would be next. There were a number of people seated, but there usually are friends or colleagues hanging around - it's a fairly social place. I waited thirty minutes, and they took two other customers in that time. Maybe it was an anomaly, or maybe their standards have declined. Either way they stole my one window of opportunity to get a haircut this week and consequently earned themselves this 1-star review.
