Before I found The Tweed Suit I had zero preference of where and when I would get my haircut. My cuts were infrequent and done by whoever was available; friends and amateurs included. James and the rest of the crew here have inspired me to take pride in my hair and to commit to the craft. There's really nothing better than a master-level hair cut and hot face towel followed by a straight razor shave. As long as I'm living in Nova Scotia, I will go here exclusively.

No better place in Truro to get a high quality haircut that always turns out great. You really do get what you pay for, it is more expensive than a traditional barber shop but the quality of the cut, straight razor shave, hot towel, etc all make for a great experience.

Had a beard trim this morning with Vanessa, it was a great experience and she was fantastic. Great atmosphere with funny conversation and some great background music. The staff seem to get along well, I am definitely going to make going to Vanessa for beard trims part of my regular routine. 10 ???? rating if I could.

Highly recommend this place! Vanessa has cut my hair twice and does such a great job and I always enjoy coming here. I recently moved to Dartmouth and tried a popular place that people seem to like and I was so disappointed, wishing that I had made the trip to The Tweed Suit in Truro instead.

I got a haircut and I was not entirely happy with it, it wasnt a bad cut just not what I was looking for so I got in touch with them the next day and explained that I was not entirely happy and would like to have it fixed up and their response was for me to schedule me an appointment for approximately a week away so I suggested that I could not wait a week to get my haircut fixed up but they wouldn't budge on the timeline, by this time ive had enough of communicating via facebook and suggested that I could get my haircut fixed somewhere else as I didn't wish to sport the cut I was wearing for a week and asked for a refund . I don't think I will go there again , they seemed to be upset with me for not liking my haircut and when I went to get my refund I said again that I would rather they fix my hair than take the prepared envelope with my refund that he met me at the with ,but he was not really wamting me in the shop it seemed kinda rude so I took my envelope and went and got a fabulous haircut at Helen's family Barbershop in Halifax where im a regular and they always do a wonderful job.
