I used to go to Garrisons by Trinity belwood park for years and ever since I moved North of the city I've been having a hard time finding a great barber, until I went today to I Barbieri! I was fortunate to find such a gem in my neck of the woods. Staff were very polite and the cut and beard trim I received was out of this world! You have to check it out for yourself to believe it.

I've since moved out of Toronto, but I always stop by here when I'm in town. You walk in, someone shakes your hand, offers to take your jacket and offers you a coffee if you have to wait a bit. This place makes you feel like a millionaire, and makes you look like a million bucks, without spending a million bucks.

Okay, I'm a person of trying different barbers based on their good reviews, and I must say 5 stars is not enough for this place. Ando the owner is very respected man, greets and farewells professionally. Roman was the gentleman that cut my hair, and from the way he held the scissors I could say he's professional (my mom owns a barbershop and is professional). He clearly listened to what I want and delivered the same. Wiped any water running from my forehead quickly. I read all reviews of this place even bad reviews, and I must say for the great quality of their job the owner has all the rights to be furious towards those that leave bad reviews. I travelled 45 minutes to get to this place and I'll be back again!

Was looking for a new barber since moving into the area. Place was well managed and Ando knows what his clients want. The espresso was just the icing on the cake. How was the cake you may ask? Solid with a shot of 12 yr old whisky. The only thing they can improve is trapping out the loose hair better. My shirt was covered in hair after my cut. Otherwise, this place is great!

Amazing experience at i barbieri! I found them through blogto and was extremely happy I went today. Reservation was simple right from their website. I was greeted by Ando with a warm smile and handshake and offered tea. Stephen cut my hair and did an awesome job! Very happy with the cut and for 20 bucks it was a great haircut. Super clean and friendly place. Had my haircut by Mauro today and he did a excellent job. I have been to many barbers in my life and find it hard to find someone with the skill and eye to give a good barber cut. Mauro was efficient and super skilled. I usually have to clip a few stray hairs myself when I get home, but not this time. I also saw a few other customers with the other barbers and was impressed with all the cuts coming out of there. I would highly recommend this place, even though it might mean that it gets busier.

Men. Look no further. This is the place you want to go for a haircut. My interest of this place was piqued when I had seen my brother-in-law's hair. He had a completely new haircut, and it looked fantastic - so I asked him where he went. As soon as I walked into the door, I was greeted by someone. Ando, the owner took the time to stop and smile and say hello while I took my seat. While I was waiting, Ando introduced himself to me - and offered me a coffee while I waited. During the haircut - Alkram took great care of me. He asked me what I was looking for and executed perfectly - he wasn't afraid to give his opinion, and gave solid advice to make sure I was looking 100% when I left the shop. The authentic service, talented staff and overall look of the place is beautiful. A distinguished, rugged interior that was clean and true to its roots. It's truly a unique place that has my support and won my heart on the first day. Also. If you like coffee and if they offer it to you - Take it. It is definitely one of the best cups of espresso you'll ever have. I promise. Warm regards. -Richard

Good but not great haircut. I went 3 times in total: once with Mauro and twice with Ando but they were not able to understand what I wanted. While they seem to truly care about customers and their experience, I felt I could benefit from exploring other barbershops in the city. Mauro has a great potential to become a top notch barber. However at this moment he doesn't seem to have a full command of English language to be quite there yet. He gave me a very good and painstaking haircut except it was not the haircut I asked for. Ando seems like a nice guy but the second time the service was a bit strange: there was a Russian guy who couldn't calm down while waiting for his son to get a haircut and was walking anxiously up and down the shop. Perhaps to calm him, Ando turned my chair opposite from the mirror to chat to the Russian guy who was now standing in front of me. Ando seemed preoccupied talking to this guy rather than my hair he was cutting. At the end, even though we made progress from the first time he still did not fully get what I wanted. Moreover, upon coming home I realized one of the sides was finished a bit sloppy. Overall, a good but not great experience. I'd give 3.5 out of 5 stars if half-stars were available but not more.

I Came on to this place the guy had only one client and told "wouldn't be able to acomdate me" because he was by himself, with literaly one person on the chair about to be done in the middle of the day. I guess he only service 'certain' clientale ????. Not recommend it. Update: Based on the response I got from the place., I have nothing but reaffirm strongly my review. As as eloquent or 'classy' he may want to sound he actually confirm to me and other thay seen my review what kind of individual works there. The same attitude shown in this review is what I got once I walked in. He didn't ask if I had an appointment nor told me he wasn't taking walk ins... Trusted all the great reviews, went for a cut last week and it was a big Disappointment. The bald guy on the left most chair( sry forgot his name) did the cut and he absolutely has no skills, rushed me and was a snob.To make it worse, i provided the feedback to the girl at cash and she was indifferent, no apologies or getting that fixed.The owner greeted nicely though and seems like him and some guy called mo knew what they were doing, as I could see the cuts were nice!

I have heard about this barbershop a while ago from a friend of mine was here, and he recommended me to go here, which I did. First of all, I did not have an appointment made, but since walk-ins are welcome, I did just that and was greeted by Ando, who generously offered me an espresso. My haircut was done by Mauro, an Italian sir, who was very skilled with scissors. After I explained him what kind of haircut I wanted, he said no problem and started his work, which in the end was a wonderfully done job, absolutely perfect. Very recommend barbershop, incredibly nice staff and an excellent experience.

I walked out the barber shop with the same look I walked in with. The barber did not do what I had asked, which is a low fade, but went higher up and was explaining in the end what went wrong. Then asked me if they can fix it? I was not sure how they can fix it after it was done and i did not get what i had asked for. It was not a clean cut or clean fade at all, and hair is still un even from the top. Not going back there at all!

Superb service: Above and beyond. Ando took a great deal of care and effort to ensure my two teenaged sons looked their best, consulting them throughout. He stayed late, beyond store closing, to ensure their cuts (and a tricky straight-razor shave) were perfect. The shop is tidy, has parking, and I was even served an espresso while I waited. Booking online is also very convenient and you get a reminder. I highly recommend this business. Five stars.

I was looking for a quality barber shop close to my house, found iBarbieri online (Italian name is appealing to me) and was quite amazed by all the positive reviews. I didn't book an appointment, just walked in on Saturday and the place was just awesome from first step in - you never wait long, there's water and coffee, décor is really cool and Roman did such a great job - in a very reasonable time (and for a reasonable price I must say!) with a personalized approach and it feels like him (and other guys there) are big professionals and love what they do, and this is important. Unfortunately I couldn't book an appointment with Roman for my second visit but still I was first who came early enough to avoid the line. So about six months ago I started rocking the beard style thanks to these guys. I always considered I was taking good care but what a surprise when a Pro does it for you. Although Mauro is my #1 barber (honestly, he is the only who has ever done my beard) I had the opportunity to get a great hair cut from Akram and let me tell you, there is no real cost when you have a great experience from these gentlemen. I still hope one day I can book my appointment with Ando, the owner. You will know who he is if you visit because no matter how busy he is, he will always received all customers with a great salutation and make you feel like you belong, like you are part of what I like to refer as the "Barbers culture".

I've had two haircuts from here and it's a great experience and the place is bustling. I was a walk-in both times and I liked each haircut. That being said, this last time I chose to get my beard completely taken off, and while the hot towel was great, the shave wasn't as close as I would have preferred and the barber missed a few spots and left a few stragglers, so I had to clean it up with a disposable razor. Other than that, it's a good place.

Following the trail of positive reviews, I booked an appointment with Ando a couple of weeks ago (and yes, booking in advance is a Good Idea) and pretty much everything that people have said here was spot-on. I got there a little bit early, and was offered an espresso... going in, I wasn't quite sure what I wanted done with my hair, other than "short at the back and sides", so I asked Ando if he had any ideas, and just let him work his precise brand of magic. After he'd made triple-sure that nothing had been missed, there was a quick head massage with one of those handheld hamza devices, and I was on my way. No complaints at all, and I'll definitely be going back.

I have been going here for close to 2 years now after finding them on a BlogTO post, and can say confidently I will be getting my hair cut here so long as their doors remain open. The staff is incredibly friendly and the service is excellent. A very laid back vibe. I've only walked in once as they are usually pretty busy, so my recommendation would be to book in advance if you can. That being said, the time I did walk in I was in the chair almost right away. Either way, and with any of the staff, you will not be disappointed.

I pulled up on Sunday morning and before I even got out of my car, Matthew came outside to greet me with a hand shake and to introduce himself. Place was busy on Sunday morning but they took me as a walk in right away. Roman cut my hair and he did an amazing job. When he was finished cutting my hair, he took 3 steps back to admire his work. That's passion. On my way out, Ando (the owner) stopped what he was doing to introduce himself and to thank me for my business. The whole experience was an amazing show of customer service that you don't get anywhere else. Every little detail is taken care of here. Sure, I can go get my hair cut somewhere more convenient on my way to work, but from now on, I'll choose to drive out of my way to see Ando and the gang for my haircut. Thanks guys!

This is the best Barber Shop in Toronto 28 for a cut right off the Bathurst Wilson south about 5 mins down the road I recommend taking TTC from York Mills or a a Wilson station depending on if your east or west north or if you live near by and it's not a busy day you can park in there plaza if your coming south of Bathurst station again take subway I got them to cut my hair and give me a mohawk faded as I'm going to Florida need month for next month got my bangs and front dyed blonde as I'm want to dye them Blue like Prince X brother style in the SAD Music Video lol. Sadly I forgot my wallet home and as I'm a frequent visit at least 1-3 months depending on how much I want to grow it Akram or one of there student Barbers cut it I usually have Akram cut it as he and Ando are the best in my opinion and have both cut my hair in the past and done a excellent job. So I can't remember the name of the student who cut it and coloured it but the guy was Eastern European and did an excellent job for cut and colour it came to 58 Canadian I bought the product for 50 which is the same brand that my favourite Rapper G- Eazy and GNash use to style there's when they get cuts in Hollywood. That came to 108 and I gave him a 20 dollar tip I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER BARBER AGAIN THESE GUYS KNOW THERE STUFF AND THEY COULD EASILY BE MAKING 75 DOLLARS AN HOUR DOWNTOWN But they are gentleman and want to improve men's way of life through an old Barber Shop with a modern feel. If you have the time and are looking for a cut go here Arkam, Ando, Mauro or one of their many hands on and talented pupils will give you a great cut. Sincerely, AXC

Hands down the best barber shop I have ever been to. Disregard the negative comments (if there even are any legit ones). This place deserves a 6 stars! Akram, Ando and Mauro has proven time and time again to be far superior than any other barber out there. I personally get my haircut from Mauro because he has been used to cutting my hair for awhile now and has always exceeded my expectations. If you land with either Akram, Mauro or Ando, you are in good hands and I would not hesitate to let any one of them cut my hair. Personally, I found that Mauro's attention to detail is incredible and as I am someone with very straight hair, i find that some barbers tend to lack the attention to detail leaving me with some longer strands of hair than others or a ridiculous style that just doesn't suit me. This is not the case here, they are all perfectionists and masters of their craft. You can feel the passion as soon as you walk in, these guys truly love what they do, are extremely good at it, friendly and professional. This is not some cheap 8-10$ haircut, and the finished product and service justifies every single penny spent. I have once missed an appointment for 12PM and they still offered me to come in after close at 7PM to cut my hair after a long day of being fully booked. This type of service is next to none. I suggest to make an appointment online (great website) or call a week in advance. Thank you again Ibarbieri for being amazing!

Great shop at a reasonable price. Why pay for someone to hack your hair? My advice, spend the extra few dollars and get it done properly. Just a bit more than chain haircutters, but 100 time better. Great value for a barbershop. Loved the online booking tool as I knew I wouldn't have to wait too long to get in the chair. Mauro had me started within a few minutes of my booked time, and was efficient but not rushed. Really took his time to make the perfect style. Thanks Mauro, very nice work. The gents at iBarbieri are professionals and you will know it from the second you sit down. Meticulous in their craft, and you can tell they really care about the quality of work they put forth. My barber is retiring, so was on the lookout for someone who could replace him (not easy, as the bar was set pretty high). Saw the high amount of positive google reviews for I Barbieri and decided to take my chances there. I was greeted with a friendly smile and a coffee offer, followed by taking a seat at Ando's chair. Well, suffice to say that he's a great guy and and an equally great conversationalist! It took all of one minute to explain what I wanted and, sure enough, I got exactly what I was looking for at the end of the cut. My favourite part was the prep for the straight razor shave. Lots of care taken with the hot towel and the attention to detail is nothing short of reassuring! (When hair on the top is in short supply, the beard is *key*) As for the establishment itself, extremely clean with a great vibe and catchy tunes. It doesn't come with any of the pretentious stuff (or staff) that make you wonder if there are any hidden costs at the end of the appointment. Parking is a breeze and the shop is close to the 401 (so easily accessible). The online booking is a bit wonky when it comes to cancellations, but the guys are quick to respond via email when changes need to be made (I gave well over 24 hours, of course... a gentleman always keeps his word!) In a nutshell? It feels good to look good! (Going to have to trademark that.) Rating for each of location, vibe, price, and quality? A cool 5 outta 5. Thanks, Ando!

I've been coming here for years and can honestly say that this is THE place to get your haircut in Toronto. Not only is Ando one of the friendliest guys around, but he along with the rest of the i Barbieri gang are truly masters of their craft and consistently deliver great results! Ando can book up pretty quickly, and if that's the case I would highly recommend getting a cut from Mauro, he's an absolute ace barber. Wow.. A barber shop that's cool! When you show up, Ando offers you an espresso that he'll make on the spot. Good tunes in the background, and a guitar in the corner (I think from the owner's former life). Oh, and the haircuts are great too... since I guess that's what we're all here for.

Absolute disappointment !! Twice BAD EXPERIENCE !!! I booked appointment for my husband's haircut. Booked to MAURO twice he spoiled my husband's hair and look. Never did a proper haircut for my husband and didnt cut hair properly today the back side hair was horrible ! Waste of time and money visiting here!! Appointment was 10.30am they delayed too much and he came home 1.00pm. They can take more time for a good hair cut not for spoiling it!! 1st time was annoying so gave MAURO A 2Nd CHANCE but he ruined it.He will never visit this saloon again. Since they got some good ratings so we believed and went. But now their quality is poor!!! THINK THRICE BEFORE COMING.

Covid lockdown rules in Ontario forbid haircuts- it's been four or five months since I got a haircut (pre-Covid I went weekly). I spent weeks looking online for help with this necessity. I found his website- and loved the concept. I booked online after they gave me a log-in code. I booked a week in advance- and even got the email confirming it *The email made no mention of me having to send a return email to confirm I got it. *** After the Victoria Day holiday weekend, I checked my email only to find out they had emailed me 'a cancellation notice'. Since I hadn't checked email on the holiday weekend, i missed a random email requiring me to confirm the appointment again--- ??? I am not impressed. I have never heard of this kind of 'continual confirmation'. Update: Having read the vicious reply from the owner, I am happy they cancelled my appointment after all. The vengeance and the anger displayed in his response is a cause for concern. I will stay safe- by staying far away! He is obviously a narcissist! I will give a business suggestion: accusing the customer of not using the phone to call a business that hasn't done anything over the phone is odd. Why would I call him? They never called me to 'confirm I am confirming the confirmation'. Its not the customer's a responsibility to manage a business's customer service.

Make sure that you give yourself a couple weeks in advance to book because Ando is very popular and usually booked for a couple weeks.

My husband went in for a haircut and was there on time and the client in front of him decided to also shave his beard. My husband is a busy man wanted to get his hair done by the barber he booked at the time he booked it. But they kept telling him to wait or go to anther barber....he waited anther 10-15 minutes and decided he couldn’t wait and went to the other barber. Worst haircut ever!!! He finished his haircut and the other guy who was suppose to do his hair was still working on the other guy! Disgusting!!! So upset at this place!!! They write on the website a gentleman keeps his word and they don’t even follow that! Ugh. Oh the kicker was when my husband told the barber he did not listen to what he said he wanted. The idiot barber said don’t worry give it 4 days it will grow back!!!! It happens to be my husbands hair grows like snails crossing a road. Beyond slow!! So upset. A gentlemen keeps his word...yea right???!!!

I recently had to switch barbers and I chose Barbieri for their excellent reviews and good location to my work. At first I was very disappointed because mauro was 20 minutes late to my appointment, so I let him know. However, mauro is an artist and I am very happy with his work. I was also offered delicious espresso once I walked in. While paying Ando offered me free products as an apology for the late appointment which was really nice of him. Overall excellent service and haircut I really enjoyed my experience there and I will definitely be back. Seeyou soon :) .

Made an account just to make another review. As soon as you walk in, you can instantly feel the comfortable atmosphere. Akrum, one of the many professional barbers sat me down and executed a magnificent fade comb over. Not only did he listen to every detail I wanted, he made recommendations throughout the haircut that would better fit my style. The men at this barbershop are truly excellent in what they do and you wont be disappointed. Plus, what other barbershop will offer you an espresso and cake while you wait.
