Got a haircut here while I was briefly living in the neighbourhood. I showed up reasonably early on a Saturday, and it was absolutely packed. I did not see that as a deterrent, though, I saw that as a place that a lot of people trust to cut their hair. I'd say it was about a 35-40 minute wait, but one that was well worth it. I have no problem whatsoever waiting for a quality haircut. I've only recently been growing out my hair, after spending most of the last 25 years mostly with only a shaved head. I wanted to keep growing my hair out, but where it was, from shaved-to-uncut for about four months, it was kind of a mess. I wanted something that would take something off, but that would grow in nicer than what I already had. In my experience, a lot of men's haircuts are usually 15-20 minutes for simpler haircuts for what I was looking for. But the barber I got, he both understood that I didn't totally know what I was looking for, but knew exactly what needed to be done. He said that for what I was looking for, I should get a scissors-only cut. Start-to-finish, the cut took 30-35 minutes, I'd estimate. Needless to say, I left a large tip for a job well done. He put in all the necessary time required to give me the haircut I was looking for, and deserved to be compensated accordingly. The price I paid, with tip, was still an incredible value. Given my lack of experience with having hair, the times I do grow it in, I always put my trust in my barber. And he gave me EXACTLY what I was looking for. At the conclusion of the cut, I was extremely happy. But, the first few days, maybe it didn't look precisely what I was looking for. But I wasn't too worried, I had faith in my barber. And all it took was a few days of my hair growing in again, and just that quickly, my hair looked exactly like I was hoping for.100%. The time and effort that was put into my haircut... It gave me exactly what I was looking for. As for the experience, I'm sure others will vary from mine, but I had no problem with it. My barber appeared to be training another barber during my cut, so he was talking to him in another language. I had zero problems with this. From my observation, he actually seemed to be a very good teacher. And it's not like there was no conversation between me and my barber. All conversation was good and friendly, and I respected the fact that he was also teaching at the same time, and couldn't talk to me during those times. During that time, I enjoyed seeing the transformation of my hair in the mirror. Right now, I don't live anywhere near Goodfellas, but I do work reasonably close in the area. I need a haircut badly, and I am going to make the time to come back and get my haircut at Goodfellas once again. Even once I stop working in the area fairly soon, I still might make the journey from Vancouver out to Queensborough to get my hair cut. A fantastic haircut, at a great price, even after a large tip... I think this is gonna be my barber shop, even after I stop working in the area. I'll make the necessary journey to get a great haircut from a great barber shop. I'll be in sometime this week to get a fresh cut. When I researched this place initially, the reviews all seemed great, other than the odd complaint about the wait. There was a wait, sure, but that should never be seen as a bad thing, really. Just like me, there are people who are willing to wait for a quality cut. And the cut that I got... It exceeded my expectations.

Satisfaction Guaranteed These guys are reliable. Finding a new barber is always tough, so after moving here from Ontario, I tried several of the local shops ... Goodfellas is the only one which delivered 100% of the time . Each one of the three guys has cut my hair and I leave satisfied every time. Great value and these guys mean business. I only pay $12 for a cut which would cost as much as $25 at competitors salon. I can afford to go twice a month and look sharp all year long. Thank you Goodfellas!!

I take hair pretty seriously. I have had the same barber for 5 years and coming to Goodfellas Barber Shop was a big risk. I really appreciated the level of service. I will admit I still dont know the name of the guy that cut my hairs but he is the only one that will. He knows what I want, which is straight lines and a crisp cut. If you want good service go to these guys, you wont be disappointed. They are clean, professional, friendly, and reasonably priced.

I can't believe I live so close to a gem such as this barber. They are incredibly casual and even lack a front desk, always talking amongst each other but seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. They cut hair with incredible precision and efficiency, and oh boy do their results look good. I couldn't decide on what to get so my hairdresser, johny, said "ok just trust me" and man did he earn it. After years of looking for a shop, finding one, having it unfortunately burned down, and then finding this one, I think I found the one for me.

They should say appointment only. Made a huge mistake doing a walk in, waited 1 hour and 30 minutes and told to wait more so I just walked out :) not going back again. People who showed up without appointment just needed to know the barber and they go before me. I didn't mind waiting for a hour for a good haircut, since they dont accept appointments. However, after coming to this barber for 5 months I finally got fed up with their lack of customer service and chosen to spend my money elsewhere. They reek of smokes since they take breaks in between customers. What really got me triggered is they turned me away from a haircut one hour away from the closing time. The barbers are lazy and find rather rude, so I do not recommend this place to anyone. I rather drive 20mins and pay $25 for a proper service then deal with this improper establishment.

Tried many other places, but this is the only place to go because they are great! (2 years ago I posted this) I've been going to Goodfellas since they opened, getting my hair cut every 2 weeks. Recently they started taking reservations. So I made a reservation over the phone last Wednesday for Sat at 930am, I arrived at 925am and there was 8 others waiting. The shop opens and to my dismay they screwed up my reservation, and instead of even apologizing I'm told to come back at 1130am and that I should make reservations on line instead. I know that they are affordable and do decent hair cuts, but in my opinion it's not worth the long line ups especially after being treated like that. Sorry but you just lost your loyalists customer!

Im on the road a lot and always on the lookout for good barbers in the places i frequent . This trip i had a big meeting and the cut and beard were getting away from me . After a quick google search i decided on Goodfellas , the reviews drew me in along with the ability to book an appointment online, I booked a Fade and Beard trim with Jony . Jony took his time made sure every detail was just right. He was not rushed and ensured every detail was perfect. Next time im in New West i will for sure be stopping in for a cut from Jony ! 6 out of 5 stars if i could!

Recently moved to the area, needed barbers whom know how to line and trim a beard properly. I am very particular with it, and these guys did a fantastic job! They were polite, open to conversation, really took their time. Amazing job, and will definitely recommend this place. Whilst waiting I noticed some of the complex hair cuts they were doing too, from fade to actual artistic, and I was extremely impressed. I will be visiting them again, as my regular barbers.

Not going back. They cut me with the straight razor 3 times and the guy said sorry I’m new. Didn’t put anything on it. Then over charged me saying they charge more to do beard line plus trim the beard And then more for a skin fade on top of my haircut. They never told me this...not cool. it’s cash only and be prepared to wait 1 or 2 hours on busy days. Not worth it. Seems like new owners all new barbers and don’t really speak English.

Made an appointment on their wesite. Arrived on time for my appointment. Came in, place was busy, chairs were full. Stood by the door for 20 minutes. No one greeted me, or asked if I had an appointment. Sat down for another 10 minutes when a space freed up. After they wasted 30 minutes of my life, I left. Looks like they do good work, but despite making an appointment and arriving on time, I couldn't get a hair and beard cut. More attention to customer service would make this a better place. I guess I'll have to go some place else next Saturday to try and get a cut again.

Just got my 1st cut here by James last week.I didnt really know what I wanted but he got me what I wanted. Need to book and appointment or wait for an opening. Masks mandatory. I really liked it and I'll be going there exclusively from now on.

These people give good haircuts . But they take too many smoke breaks even though theirs a huge line up they just disappear then i look outside i they them smoking while there are waiting for a cut. Seems like there smoke is more important than the customer. This place has horrible customer service. Rate 2/10

The only place I go for haircuts now. If you can, try to get Livon as your barber, he's my favourite and always give me the haircut I want. Always has good suggestions too and is a really chill dude.

Usually go to a salon but wanted to try a local barber for a haircut. Excellent cut by Livon. Listened to what I wanted and followed up with exactly what I wanted. Good ‘vibe’ in the shop too, at a great price - highly recommend.

Terrible. These guys arent even barbers. They are always nattering in a different language. My guy stopped half way thru a cut to go have a smoke!! Then he came back in and started showing pictures on his phone to the other guy working. Now both customers waiting in the chair while the 2 kids working there chatted about something. These guys are totally unprofessional and totally untrained. The tools they use are not even clean they just dust them off and cut the next guy. If you value service and want your hair to grow out nice STAY AWAY!!! THIS IS JUST A PLACE FOR PEOPLE NEW TO CANADA TO WORK UNDER THE TABLE. The have no training and really just shave everybody the same way. There are also shady characters walking in and out of the back room several times then walking out. Cars pull up come in, go into the back fist bump some other guys then leave. Really shady and weird. You have been warned!!! STAY AWAY!

If you have young children not a good place to go too. I have been going there for about a year and a half and stopped going because music with swearing TV's that the barbers are watching movies with shooting and swearing . While little kids are sitting in the chairs . The last time I was there I had both my kids and ending up walking out because of all the unprofessional behaviors that they have . If your a teenager or adult it's fine. But definitely not kid friendly!!!!

Disappointed. Called a day prior to see if it was better to walk in or make an appointment, was told had to make an appointment so I did. Was super impressed by the photos posted of the work this shop does and excited to get a cut. When I showed up for my appointment, the guy who was supposed to be helping me already had someone in his chair even though I was on time for my appointment. I waited over 20 minutes before being told they couldn't do what I wanted - and I had booked this appointment for my lunch break which was now pretty much over. Went back to work annoyed and hungry. Super disappointed because their work looked amazing but they wasted my time and didn't seem at all phased by that. Still gave 2 stars because their work is really good but their service was SOOOOO terrible.

Excellent location, grear cuts, but please consider the music and videos played. Its uncomfortably to see children inside the shop having to listening to explicit lyrics and video content on the monitors while they wait.

Took my 4 year old boy for a haircut, they were so rude, snickered to one another and argued on who would take him. My boy was so excited to get a haircut and thought the place was so cool. It was so sad how they could treat a child. So Unprofessional! I left and took him a few doors down and they did an amazing job and were incredibly kind. Will never go to this place again.
