Thank goodness I found Giuseppe! He is amazing. He coloured my roots and finally got the tone right. He gave me a cut that allows me to look great wearing my hair curly or straight. I am super picky about my hair too. I've also gone to see him for just a blowout. He's so good. My hair looks very natural and I love it. I feel pampered in the hands of Giuseppe.

Came here to get a foot of bleach-fried hair chopped off after 3 years of growing it out. I saw Ahmet, who is apparently a hair wizard because I left with one of the best haircuts I’ve had in a decade. I’ll definitely be going back to him for a color correction and upgrade. The salon also definitely lets its reputation and hair artists do the talking for it. There’s no gimmicky “ultra trendy” feel to the place either. You know those places with weird dubstep music and random stuff all over the walls? Yeah, not here. It’s uncluttered, clean, bright and professional. Maybe I’m just getting old and surly but I appreciated the minimalist setting. And the big thing here is you don’t stay in business in Vancouver for 20+ years without some serious skills and loyal clientele. 5/5

Ahmet saved my hair! I went in with hair that was several shades of blonde, brown and orange hair and he fixed everything and gave me amazing blonde hair that is all one colour and beautiful! I love it so much. His attention to detail and skills with colouring and my haircut/hairstyling were amazing. Anyone looking for a perfect haircut or colour, I would highly recommend Ahmet, especially blondes. The salon is super clean and cool with a really friendly vibe. As soon as you walk in you feel like family and that you will be treated so well and come out with amazing hair. Their COVId precautions were on point as well. Thanks Ahmet ????

I absolutely love this place! Giuseppe is a master! I will not let anyone touch my hair unless it's him. I moved here from Italy 20 years ago and am super picky when it comes to my hair, and have only had bad experiences here, but since I've found Giuseppe I only let him do my hair. I had very long hair and wanted a change, was very nervous, but I trusted his skill and expertise and he did not disappoint! Not only he's incredibly skilled at his job, but he's super nice and funny! Love him! I recommend this place!

Worst haircut I've ever. my lob had grown out and I went in to get some layers to give my hair some shape/texture, ended up with uneven layers. Looking at my face front on you can see how uneven the layers are. One side clearly shorter than the other. Wearing my hair up or in half-pony until it grows out. not ideal. Although, one of the stylists offered to fix it up for me at no charge.

My hairstylist Ahmet recently moved to Barbarella Salon and I followed him. I love the new location - the neighbourhood is so nice, and there's lots of free parking on the side streets. Ahmet is a talented, edgy, and very meticulous stylist, and his haircuts always last long and grow out well. I always get compliments from strangers about my hair (or I did before COVID, anyways).

I came to Barbarella to get help fixing an atrocious cut I got somewhere else. Vanessa was amazing! She gave me an excellent cut and showed me some styling tips for making the cut work best with my wavy hair. Is it the cheapest place? No, but I’d rather pay $70 for a cut that makes me feel like a million bucks than one half that price that makes me feel like garbage. The customer service was great, too. Really happy with my total experience here.

UPDATE: My name is literally Sunny Chen... It shouldn't be this difficult to set up 2 different client profiles on Vagaro. ORIGINAL: This salon has booked 3 appointments for me that I never requested or called in to book. Someone is getting trigger-happy with their computer... Maybe it's because things are slow at the salon right now, and they're purposefully booking clients who've requested services in the past, so that clients will phone in and maybe drum up some business for them? I used to work for Barbarella Hair Salon in 2017 and it was a disorganized workplace, owned by shady business owners who fled to the USA to avoid tax fraud. These people still own the salon. I received 2 haircuts from Barbarella in 2020, which I was satisfied with, but the way they're trying to drum up business right now is unethical, and I don't want to support them anymore.

I have been to this salon a few times in the past and always left satisfied with their services, but my most recent visit was exceptionally great. I met Ahmet for the first time and after a brief conversation about my expectations he just took off with his creative genius ways from start to finish. I love the haircut and the blonde looks surprisingly healthy. The results exceeded my expectations! Ahmet is truly skilled, and it is evident that he is passionate about hair. I also met Diana and her customer service is just wonderful. She is warm and accommodating to the walk-in clients that came into the salon. Without going into too much detail, I think it is rare to see her level of customer appreciation elsewhere. I would highly recommend this salon and look forward to my next visit with Ahmet.

Nice atmosphere and some really down to earth and nice hairdressers. I've only had very basic things done here a few times. Just root touch ups, your basic dark brown color, trims and adding some layers in my hair. Nothing too complicated pretty standards stuff. I liked my hair dresser Nessa, she was always so welcoming, sweet and bubbly. I was always fine with how my hair would turn out. I wasn't crazy in love with the work but that's mostly because I only got trims, roots done etc. The work was okay like I mentioned. But I found this place abit more on the expensive side, especially considering that i wasn't getting anything fancy done. I stopped going because I found it over priced and I found salons who did the same job but for much more reasonable prices. My hair is actually quite thin and fine usually it goes past my shoulders. So it is on the longer side but a trim and roots should not cost you $200-215 .

I had awful experience. I wanted blond ombre. Thy vld me for consultation told me thy wilk b able to give me medium blond.ombre with dark roots. I was therr for 5 hrs. In the end my whole.head was brown. The girl Ani bleeched my head. Then washed it early bec she didnt have time. My hair.became orange. I was bit worried she tokd me dnt worry utll turn iut good. She dyed my roots black n added another color. She said she will put sometbing itll look nice i promise. Those were her words. Thwn in the end she said ok listen . Ur hair cant be blond in that short time. That was after 4 hrs n 2 washes. I told her this looks nthg like thr pic i showes her .its all brown. Sje walked away. I talked to manager she gabe me 50% discounted bill of $130 n a shampoo to fade my hair. Said come back with fadded hair . She tlld me thy r too busy to give me another appointment. I.walked away after paying 130. Never gna go back. What a waste of time n money. Thy wrked my hair

Worst salon I've ever been to. I made an appointment last week saying I had a wedding on Friday so I needed my hair done by then and they said it wouldn't be a problem, and we booked the consultation. This was not the case at all. They made me wait 30 minutes past my "consultation" only to be told that I was basically too poor to afford what I wanted, that's not only rude to assume, but an awful thing to say. I make more than enough money to afford what I wanted. Then when I was trying to explain what I was looking for and I just got blank stares. This was supposed to be a consultation, you are the hairdresser not me so give me suggestions on what would look good on me, I showed plenty of pictures. I will never return here, this was the biggest waste of my time.
