This was our first visit to get a hair cut for my 7 year old son. I've been trying to find a good place for kids cuts near us for the past three years with no luck. I’ve been doing cuts myself for over a year, but was really desperate for a proper style. I’m so glad we tried Sport Clips and discovered Aksana! We were greeted warmly by Aksana, who listened well to understand what kind of cut I wanted for my son. He got superb treatment, including hot towel facial and shoulder massage. Most importantly though, he got an amazing cut! Aksana helped make my son feel comfortable in an adult salon and worked very efficiently. I’m thrilled to finally have a local salon we can frequent with confidence. I will definitely share my experience with our friends too. Thanks Aksana!!

It's a nice place, fancy and well-equipped. Hair cut was straightforward and okay, nothing crazy. You'll need to give them personal info in order to just get a hair cut. Email, Full Name, Phone Number. If you don't want to give these pieces of info away just to get a hair cut, I wouldn't recommend going here.

Great place. They can’t do lineups or great fades which sucks because you would expect that from any or all barber shops. Great place for kids. Reasonable prices. You can tell they are really good at what they do because no matter when you go, they’re always busy.

I checked in online. The online system told me that the wait for 65 minutes. I showed up for my appointment on-time. After checking in at the store the TV screen told me that the wait was 50 minutes! I asked the attendant Aksana. She was extremely rude and told me "some customers opt for extras. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the appointment time". I guess, that defeats the purpose of making an appointment. Both Aksana and Ashleigh were very irritated that they had to answer appointment related questions; although I asked my questions very politely. They were extremely unhappy that they have to do administrative work. They felt and explicitly expressed that it was not their "job" to do administrative work. Finally, it was my turn. The screen said, I was on deck. My appointment was with Aksana. She sent me to the her chair. I sat there for ten minutes until she did "administrative work". Then she came over to me and asked me to get up and vacate her chair because she had to take someone else. That was extremely unprofessional to remove someone from the barber's chair after 10 minutes of no service. I felt extremely disrespected. I left without being served. I am never returning back!

I visited sports clips last week for an MVP and was honestly the most relaxing haircut experience I've ever had. On top of that, I was real happy with the way my cut turned out. Everyone was really welcoming and my stylist, Sandie, also educated me on how to take care of my hairstyle at home. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who likes a sports themed and relaxing environment.

WORST experience ever. Came here with a first time free hair cut coupon. They claimed I was in the system which is completely not true, they offered 50% off which was ok per se, however it didn't end there. My cut was uneven and when I asked if it could be fixed, the stylist did not appear to see how uneven. After "fixing" it I was still looking at it and by the stylist's tone not only did she not see it but may have started becoming agitated. I said everything was fine to leave as I wanted to avoid an un fixable mistake. Pay cash, the tip options they display on the screen allow for the lowest option of 25% which I paid to avoid a scene. DO NOT come here, you have been warned.

Always worry about going to places I don't know especially when it comes to my hair. Needed a haircut bad and my regular barber is out of town and not back until the New Year. Went into Sport Clips in Aurora after visiting my sister who lives there. To my surprise, not only was the haircut great but the service was impeccable. DO NOT GO HERE TO GET A HAIRCUT. By far the worst haircut I have every had. Tina... I am so disappointed. Although you are nice, don't tell customers what they want or don't want. I have an extensive background in hair, having a father in the film industry who styles and designs hair for film stars for and living. When I say I want a specific cut, that's what I'm asking you to give me. If you don't know how to cut it, then DON'T TELL ME IT WON'T SUIT ME! BELIEVE ME I KNOW WHAT SUITS MY HEAD SHAPE! If it is about your skill and ability, how about you be professional abut it and say sorry I haven't done many of those cuts.... I tried to make it easy on you... a faux hawk... so straight forward. She said "no that won't suit you, I'm an artist let me create" needless to say, I've worn a hat for the past week because I'm appalled at her lack of a skill, artistic touch and ability to cut more than one hairstyle. Thanks for making me shave my head, having no choice, after a TERRRRRRRRIBLE haircut. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!! Oh the other thing, when they cut your hair they announce it to everyone... ouuuuu ahhh... yessssss what a nice change you look so good. Do yourself a favour and go to a REAL hairdresser... not a damn franchise. I'm disgusted.

I called about a child’s cut and was quickly ushered off the phone and to the online check-in. I immediately checked in with a 0 minute wait time showing—and received a confirmation email. I arrived promptly and wasn’t in their system. They refused to honour my reservation despite proof of a confirmation email. Melissa just shook her head and said NO. Horrible customer service and judging by the kids leaving, we probably avoided a terrible haircut.

I made an appointment for my son and I was on time , I was treated by a very rude reception/stylist who had no respect and no professional manner what so ever . Had to wait outside in hot weather for more than 20 minutes despite of making an appointment. I even suggested to have another stylist who was not busy and she said it will be only a few more minutes but again nothing happened for another 10 minutes and we left . Wait time was annoying but not the entire reason . She was very rude from first encounter and she was not interested to do business . I never set foot in this place again and I don't suggest anyone to do so .

I usually take my son to the location in Newmarket. However this time, we tried the Aurora location as it was a convenient spot to stop on our way to our swimming lesson for the day. I did the online check-in in advance about 1 hour earlier, and was given a suggested arrival time. When I arrived, they said they did not receive the reservation. That would have been understandable, but the woman was quite short with me and didn't seem interested in our business at all. She could not give me the Wi-Fi password for the place, which I needed since I was out of data for the month lol. There was not a person to be seen in the building, although she did say she had a client in the back. She just repeatedly told me that I had not done it correctly and kept trying to walk away to the back. I politely suggested that there might be a way that we could put him on the waiting list without using my phone since I had no data and she could not give me the Wi-Fi password, but she was having none of it. I will not be going back to this location ever and I am very disappointed in the customer service that was provided. Zero understanding, zero bedside manner, and zero interest in gaining a new customer. Just accusatory and dismissive behaviour that was completely unwarranted. Worst ever.

ATTN: Sports Clips Corporate and Franchise owner This place is a hot mess. The moment you walk in you are being shouted at "If you booked online you will still have to check in or you will lost your spot." I am pushing 60 and just want a haircut not to enter my personal information and checkin. I did it anyway because I needed a haircut. I noticed my name on the scoreboard twice, told them several times but both names remained on the scoreboard. During my haircut the person cutting my hair had to go help out another person who messed up some billing issue with the scoreboard. It was a good 5 minutes before they came back to do my haircut. When it came time to pay, the person had me pay twice for some reason the first one "didn't go through" so I tapped again and asked this isn't going to appear twice is it, they said no definitely not. I get home and capital one alerts me that I have been charged twice at 30.99. I call the store and leave a message for management to reverse the charges. I get a call back from there store and the person tells me "you HAVE to come back to the store after 4 pm and talk to the manager and they tried to hang up. I explained that I am not going to do that and it's up to them to reverse the charges. I've emailed corporate and left a voice message for management at the store and no response since Friday July 19th. Avoid this place at all costs, it appears it cost me 30.99 I hope it doesn't happen to someone else. If they do get back to me with a reasonable solution I will be fair and add it to this review. The scoreboard takes up more of the people's time than the actual haircuts. This is a recipe for failure, too bad, my first two visits were more than good that's why I went the third time. Never again. UPDATE: I did hear back from the owner on these issues. I have been credited the second charge. The owner hit all the right notes and I believe he was genuine in his apology. I have been offered an MVP haircut free as well, which I may or may not use but it is appreciated.

I saved 6 weeks of length for my hair, 1 shot was ruined. Barber even asked what I wanted, I said,fade. He does under cut one side, fade on other. He apologizes says misunderstanding, but who gets it right one side by wrong on other? Stubborn Korean guy doesn't listen properly to customers request. Fake laughs. Wonder why was free. The women doing my sons hair was lovely, she did a great fade and comb over. Then to get the line on the side, she had one of her co workers do it, Tanya. It was absolutely terrible. She half assed the line and made it so thick with a blunt end. Not to mention she argued with me and said it was just like the picture I showed her. It was twice the width and she just walked away. The other staff agreed with me and apologized. Horrible service from this woman. Waste of time going there - I will be taking him back to the barber shop in Richmond hill. Complete waste of money and will never recommend this place.

We have known Melissa for a number of years and have heard so much about her passion for her career and dedication to customer service but had yet to try a cut at Sports Clips. My husband was blown away with the reality of Melissa's skill, passion, and dedication after receiving a cut from her. Top notch service, would definitely recommend to all family an friends.

Have had my hair cut many times at this sports clips location many times and was never really satisfied. Until the last time i went in and there was this really shy hair dresser that was really shy with customers. Its was kinda funny. Then the owner or manager came to the front desk and helped her out. Thank god cause this lady did an amazing job taking care of her client. I will give this lady 15 out of 10 star rating.

Great place for a hair cut and relax, my stylists Aksana amazing and inderstand what I want . She never cut more than I ask. Always friendly. MVP IS AWESOME. Also I can watch sport on TV. For sure will go back again and again.

The BEST barbershop in York Region !!! The staff are so up to date on the latest trends and it is such a fun atmosphere ! The shop is super clean and every station has a TV to watch sports while getting a cut ! Make sure to ask for a DOUBLE MVP !!!! It is the most relaxing and refreshing experience ! The scalp massage and back massage is totally worth it !!!! Not to mention the cuts are sharp !

Ashley cut my hair and she was the best! So professional and did such a great job. She also really took her time to make sure I got the haircut i wanted. And she even helped me check in online. I would highly recommend a visit to see her at this location. Her Fiance came in while she was cutting my hair. We had a great chat also about how he struggles to win $ in his hockey pool. What a nice couple. 5/5 for sure

I took my 3 boys for a haircut and was surprised when I was told to pay $81. I’ve always paid $50 something for my boys’ haircuts. When I saw the bill it turned out they charged me $5 extra for double mvp for each boy which I never asked for. I only wanted a haircut for my boys. They told my boys that they were giving them a free mvp which is why my boys never told them no for it.. even so shouldn’t the parent be asked if an extra service is wanted for the kids or not?? So basically they decided on their own for the extra service and they charged me without asking for my consent. I didn’t feel like arguing with them so I just let it go when they kept insisting it’s a good deal for first timers.. That’s first timers and last timers for us!

I came in to get a simple, conservative and a very typical haircut that I got here once before. Everything looked fine from the front in the mirror. No one told me that anything went wrong. I paid, tipped and left for the important event. This when I realized that my haircut went horribly wrong first time in my life. The hair was cut short from the back way to high, it was going over the crown of the head making an abrupt stop unlike blended transition. It looked like I had irregular skull. I never seen anything like this. This is definitely not what I asked for. I had to rush to the closest hairdresser and pay to cut everything down even more. It looked bad, but not as bad as a disaster that I left this establishment with. I complained and as a result I was promised a free haircut out the ordeal. If this is the experience, embarrassment and surprises you would like then this is the place for you.

It was my first time going there and I don't recommend it to anyone because it is expensive. They say different price when they start to cut and different price when they finish cutting. Also they are not clean and they don't clean the machines properly.
