Although the guy who rated it one star is right about the usual way things are in there, I suppose it really all just comes down to personal preference. The vibe you get from the shop is a local homely feel and you don't mind if they have to run the shop or whatever, because what is another five minutes on your day. Ok, I suppose its annoying if you have somewhere to be, but who goes to the barbers 10 minutes before they are supposed to be somewhere. The guys working there are very friendly and if you go in there enough they will most likely start to recognize you and the whole service becomes a little better. I suppose you would want a quality service from the moment you walked in to the moment you walked out, but its just not that kind of place. The prices are average to below average, which means your most likely going to catch it cheaper than some other places. That is a good thing! But if your looking for an amazing cut (which you probably are) then it all depends on what barber you get. Some take their time and have a slight artistic nature and the others just ask what you want and sometimes might even try to rush the job! Which as you can imagine leaves you coming out of the place thinking, "My hair doesn't look right, why did I just pay for that?". However, when its done good, it's done great and your thinking, "Get in, I just paid less than that stuck up place and my hair looks sick! I'm deffo going out tonight!" Overall, If you want to take the time to get to know the place, suss out the best barbers and get looked after, this is the place for you. But if your just passing by, I wouldn't recommend it as there are much better places for a pit stop (to put it bluntly). My advice for this place to be 4 or 5 stars, would be to just whip the service into a bit better shape. Alas, there will probably be no change because this place gets the customers it needs on that loyalty level and doesn't need to do any better than what it is doing. Plus there is no competition in the immediate area. There are some hairdressing places close, but I'm not going to make an appointment with them when I can just walk into Crew. EDIT: Oh and post the damn opening times somewhere online please, this isn't the stone age and it would take about 5 minutes. Just another point to show how much they really care about the business haha.

Took our 2 year old today for his very 1st haircut which should have been a good experience... i told the barber he might get upset the barber didnt seem to pleased with that but i just persivered as i thought it was just me because i was nervous. He wasnt helpful at all and my sons first hair cut is a disgrace he looks like the 5th beatle with a straight school girl fringe so now just on my way somewhere else to get it fixed. Rude staff and will not be returning again...

The customer service is absolutely fantastic, the skill the each barber shows with their attention to detail is impeccable. The atmosphere can very from chill, to lively, to a room of people who you feel as though you’ve known for years, even if you have just met them that day. They’re brilliant with children and their patience is highly commendable. As they cut your hair, you feel open to conversation about football, the news or your day-to-day lives, it’s an atmosphere you can rarely get in other places. I’d recommend this to anyone wanting a quality haircut for £10 (for students on Monday-Thursday) or £12 along with a free hot cloth to clean your face and neck after the shave.

Terrible haircut, missed large parts of my hair which another barber will have to fix, the haircut was rushed. The lad doing it was too busy on his phone and rammed the blade into my head, a really terrible and painful experience

It's Sunday 19 January 2014 and I just went for a hair cut but walked out. The two men who were looking after the shop were unattentive and didn't care. They spent the whole time talking to each other while cutting the hair of the two customers ahead of me. One kept watching the tv and didn't even bother to show the customer the back of his hair at the end of the cut. One staff member who should have then served me walked out of the shop to go and buy food for the two of them. Neither of them acknowledge me to say we would be with you. I've nebver seen people so unprofessional, so I walked out. The two men infront of me weren't happy either.
