Client Consultation Forms should always be available at any professional & reputable spa/salon. I was beyond happy to fill mine out here. It means they care about the details, your health, safety, and time. I've had the honour of enjoying both a haircut at the salon downstairs and a pedicure at the spa upstairs. I had a detailed cut I fell in love with, and feet as soft as silk. As a plant lover I was thrilled to see many well taken care of plants and the most GORGEOUS decor. High quality products used and they aren't product pushers but are always eager to answer any questions you have. Kind staff and they leave you feeling like you're on top of the world. I can be price conscious most days and I was happy to pair their fair prices too. Can't wait until my next appointment!

This was ourt 1st time there and I booked the same time with my daughter on purpose. Apparently the owner knew we would not have a good experience as 1 employee could not be there and the other had been up all night at the hospital. I'll spare the rest but was really disappointed at the way the owner decided to handle my concerns. We are new to the area and won't be going back.

She also gives great suggestions and advice as well on hair maintenance. And the salon is a great relaxing atmosphere, love all the plants that are in the space.

Without writing an entire novel, I will say that my experience at The Urban Lounge was beyond expectations!! I booked easily online after seeing a deal on Instagram that was hard to pass up. My appointment was booked for the next day, which is amazing considering the current protocols for covid 19. I recently had my hair coloured and cut elsewhere (a birthday gift from a friend), and was left entirely disappointed with the results. I asked Taylor-Rhae, the hair technician (artist? stylist? I don't know what the term is these days!), if she could adjust the colour of my ends using a toner to achieve a more natural blended look, rather than bright blonde. I think I might have made her nervous with how upset I was with the last salon, whoops! In the end she knocked it past the posts, out of the park, back of the net, slam dunk, hole in one, etc. I am truly looking forward to returning to see Taylor-Rhae for my next colour appointment, where she will continue reversing some of the work previously done by "thinking out of the box", which in itself is a true talent. Thank you!

I have been going to this spa for over a year now and just love it. Shout out to Portia for having amazing staff in the spa and salon. All staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to get along with. Love that staff are very helpful for product recommendations but never push or pressure you into buying anything. Shout out to Vanessa who has been doing my nails! The spa and salon are very clean and do an excellent job at keeping everything sanitized. Over all I love the atmosphere, staff and the owner. I’ve never left a review for a salon, but I feel like I had to for this one. My appointment was with Maggie for a balayage and cut. Firstly, Maggie was a joy to be around. She’s SO talented, sweet, and completely on-trend. I showed her a couple of pictures of the look that I was going for and she delivered! I feel like I’m still stunned with how well my hair turned out. It’s been almost 6 weeks since my appointment and my colour has grown out exactly how I wanted it to (which never happens for me). Also, the value that you get for your dollar at this salon is HUGE compared the the salons that I’m used to. Thank you Maggie and team, I’ll be back for sure!

Urban Lounge took care of the makeup for my ladies and I for my wedding, and I couldn't have been happier! The bridal makeup includes a trial, after which the artist followed up with me and incorporated my feedback into my look on the big day. On the wedding day, the artist was prompt (she came to us), professional, and kind. Not to mention that my makeup stayed on all day! Would highly recommend!

The spa is gorgeous! I love the plants the open space, etc. I went there for a few services over the last couple years. I got my eyebrows waxed. For the first time I bled during receiving this service. I'm not sure if it was the technique or the wax but it never happened before. I also went for a facial. It was very relaxing. The room is amazing. The only thing is that I ask for extractions (as it is indicated in the service description) but the tech did not do it. I was so relaxed tho that I just remembered at home. But with their price rate you would expect better. My husband got a haircut there. It was awful. They did a good job to make up to him by offering a free cut to fix it. During some of my visits I felt like there was tension between the staff. I don't feel warm welcomed when I go there. I still go because they are the only spa in the area. Their price rates are very high (like higher than some Ottawa salon/spa). I like the products that they sold there. I would say that the staff is well informed of their line of products and so they can answer most of your questions.

I had foils and was happy with the results , then Portia trimmed my hair , approx five snips with the scissors and she charged me 28.00 for the trim . I could see 10.00 for what she cut . Less than 5 min to trim . I was surprised. Won't happen twice

Since COVID started the ladies at the lounge have made things happen for our community, to keeping up with all our color kits, new products coming in etc. The staff were always friendly when coming into the salon, as well as the receptionist so soft spoken on the phone and was able to give me information and helping me out. My daughter is special needs and bring her into a salon can be overwhelming for her with all the noise, but I spoke to the owner and she did her best to make it comfortable for my little girl, to make it easy going for her, plus her stylist did the same. Well done ladies

One visit I was accidentally overcharged, but I didn't notice initially. They were the ones who reached out to me to let me know they realized the error and credited the difference to my account for next time =) Always so friendly and great customer service!

The pride of ownership is displayed from the moment you see the building to the moment you leave and all throughout. The staff all take pride in being a part of the team there. Booked in to the spa this afternoon after seeing a pedicure special on Facebook, and the ladies were able to accommodate both myself and my mom for an appointment this evening. We walked in, and the spa was amazing! Diffuser going, music on, and the ladies were ready and waiting for us. Both my pedicure and my moms were absolutely fantastic! They were extra cautious with my feet, and they had taken the time to look up my file, and remembered that I am a Type One Diabetic. They had a large selection of colors for us to choose from, including some fabulous shellac. The techs chatted with us, and were both super friendly. I want to give an extra shout out to the tech who took care of me, Kas Sestito! Kas was knowledgeable and skilled, and provided a fantastic service. I'll definitely be back to see Kas again!

My absolute favourite place in the valley to be pampered. When I first moved here I would still travel back to my fave places in Toronto as I couldn't find what I wanted in a salon/spa. After the Urban Lounge opened I finally felt like I had a place to go with the right aesthetic, the right skills (the hair stylists here are amazing and very well trained), and customer service that I had come to expect from the city. I have recommended countless people here for hair and mani/pedis. I especially love that they are eco / cruelty conscious and use a lot of organic products.

I highly recommend The Urban Lounge and Mary Giberson for a mens cut. I like their scheduling system and email reminders. Professional, courteous and exceptional are words that come to mind. November 17 2021, I'm adding to this post because, I just received the best haircut in years. My hair is thick and grows weird, Mary gets better with each cut. Portia is always quick to check in and see how the service was. I appreciate the hardships all hair salons have gone through in the last year. So be nice, and you'll get the best service.

I decided to get a facial here (I've never had one done, I thought it would be fun). Expensive ($150), and kind of weird. I chose the "clear skin facial," as I've developed some congested pores, but overall have very good skin (I've been told). There's a million steps, none of which were explained to me while they were happening. One step stung my eyes and went partially up my nose. The lady was also very pregnant, and not having the easiest time moving around. I felt bad even having her do this for me. I gave an extra star because she did give a great arm and hand massage. My skin looked GREAT right after - but the next morning and ever since, I've been breaking out steady. Whatever was put on my face, it doesn't like. A waste of money, wouldn't recommend.

Loved the ash blonde foils and cut Kelsey did and the eyebrow tint/wax with Sarah. They knew exactly what I wanted and explained the processes to me as they did it. I'm new to the country, so I was a little nervous the first time as I'm just getting used to things in Canada (my foils had been done really badly in Toronto and Kelsey fixed them!) and I appreciated all the staff made me feel super comfortable! The decor is super cute and I like the hair products they use. It was exciting to see the team getting ready for their 5-year anniversary. Can't wait to go back.

Great place. Very modern and stylish. Lindsay does amazing hair work (5 stars) and is super flexible.and accommodating and is aaaaamazing with kids cuts. Online scheduler is super handy. Deducted star because they dont accept credit and when youre a points collector a $200 hair cut is a loss of a lot of points.
