I was honored to be a model at Ink Barber for Shannon and his class. The detailed explanation of the process, time, dedication and care he took working on my Scalp Micropigmentation. I had 4 sessions and gotta say each time my scalp was looking like I had hair again. I highly recommend seeing Shannon and his staff at Ink Barber. This is been a game changer. If you're okay rocking the buzzed look, and maintaining it, SMP with Shannon is the right choice. He restored my hairline, and after 3 planned sessions, Shannon made time for two extra touch-ups included on the original price, and ensured me that he would follow-up with any touch-ups within the next year or two. To your own eye, SMP is never going to be perfect, but Shannon did a damn good job, and unless you're looking for it, you can't tell any SMP work has been done.I have had multiple people ask me why I don't grow out my hair. I have had people up close and personal, who literally don't bat an eye when they check out my head. Again, Shannon is super talented, quick, and detail oriented. He's personable and time flies in the chair. Honestly, I just hope the dude doesn't uproot somewhere else, because the man likes to travel, and I wouldn't want to book with anyone else. Asides/Tips: > Be sure to buy a good matte moisturizer, otherwise your head will shine if you have a scalp that produces natural oil. > If you can maintain the hair you have left, by whatever means (finasteride, minoxidil, vitamins, whatever) do that. In my opinion, unless you plan to rock a clean shave, or maintain a buzzed daily, SMP is more convincing when you have some hair left. It also help when and if anyone decides to run their hand through your hair, maintaining the illusion.

I had SMP training with the amazing Team at Ink Barber at the time I was trained was back in September 2019. I honestly had the best experience, the course was jam packed with knowledge and hands on training. I have to say the best thing about this training is the connections with the staff at Ink barber, I can reach out to any of them and they are always full of advice. But I have to give an extra special shout out to Lana she has been my mentor non stop! Im always sending out DM’s of my work, asking tons of questions and getting so much constant advice. She has to be the kindest sweetest genuine person I’ve ever met. The fact that she’s so helpful and always sharing her tips and tricks as well as overall as well as critiquing my work constantly for me on how I can always perfect my skill and grow as an SMP artist has been undoubtably a game changer for me and my skills. It’s so wonderful knowing that someone’s got your back and they want to see you succeed and that’s exactly it. If you're looking for the absolute best SMP Technician then look no further than Shannon and his team at Ink Barber! Shannon will make sure you are 100% happy with the results, it's not about how many clients Shannon can pump through like some other places but rather about making sure the clients he has are getting the best quality work done that is virtually undetectable. I use to be self conscious about my thinning hair and would spend lots of time making sure it looked as good as it could but eventually there is not much more you can do and so either it's time to rock a bald head or do something else that can be very costly and invasive. SMP allows you to rock the shaved head but look like it was your choice, and not because of unfortunate heredity. SMP takes years off how you look and gives you your confidence back. I no longer even think about my thinning hair.

I have struggled with Alopecia Universalis for the past 3.5 years and have gone through countless hours of research to find a solution. From steroid injections to heavy medication, absolutely nothing worked to get my hair back. I wore a hat every single day for 3.5 years and wouldn’t leave my house without it. I came to discover SMP and Microblading. I did as much research I could with artists all over Vancouver as well as in the states to see who would be the best artist to give me the most natural look for guy eyebrows and a natural looking shaved head. I’ve struggled with male pattern baldness for more then half of my life. I have looked for hair restoration solutions for 15 years. I never wanted to get the hair transplant because half the time it doesn’t come out the way you want, and you have a really bad scar so you can’t even go back to a shaved head. I found out about Smp 5 years ago. I pretty much looked it up every night before bed, hoping to find an artist who could make a nice, natural hair line. Shannon is your guy and if you go somewhere else, you didn’t do your homework. I had SMP 4 years ago in NY and now came here for a touch up. Price is fair, needles are clean, he knows all the layers of the skin and the environment is relaxed and professional. You’re in safe hands and you can watch Netflix for 2 hours while he goes to work. They are booked a month in advance and I was referred by a friend whose head looked great. It was the right move not flying back to the East coast to get this done.

To be honest i was a little apprehensive at first as I'm sure everyone would be having a procedure like this done. Shannon was unbelievably knowledgeable and patient throughout the entire process from consultations and throughout the rest of the procedures. I had no pain from the micropigmentation itself as they apply a topical cream prior to anything being done. while the procedure took place I was handed a remote, sat in the most comfortable chair and watched whatever I wanted on the flat screen in front of me. during the procedure I was always kept up to date with how it was going and looking and asked if I had any pain or concerns. I cannot tell you how amazing and confident I feel now that I have had this done. One of my concerns prior to getting this done was that people would spot it right away but honestly you would never ever know that this was a tattoo and not real hair follicles. I'm so happy I went through with this and would highly recommend INK BARBER to anyone looking to regain their confidence and feel great about their appearance again. Thank you Shannon and team!

They are thorough and make you feel like you are well taken care of and you even have a good time while the sessions are taking place. The fun atmosphere happens to be in a very clean environment, where you can watch tv and have a good time as the SMP is taking place. The results are really great I am very happy with them. If you are looking to get smp work done then Ink Barber is the place to go!! I had the pleasure of meeting Sara, Shannon, and Kyle on my first session!! Sara was my technician and I would definitely recommend her!! I have searched many places and this is definitely the best decision I’ve made to come here!! I was really nervous at first but Sara was really patient and professional. She made sure I was comfortable, so comfortable I fell asleep a few times!! I did not feel any pain or discomfort at all. I had been looking into SMP for a few years, I probably searched over 100 artists and their portfolios all across Canada/US before I randomly came across Shannon through a reddit post where one of his clients posted a before and after photo. I was beyond impressed and quickly googled his name. After looking through his client photos via social media I knew I had finally found the artist I was searching for. I recently found out about Scalp Micropigmentation through word of mouth; what a concept, what a procedure, what a confidence and self-esteem booster...life changing to say the least! I wish I had known about this procedure long ago, rather than throw away tons of money on other useless hair loss remedies, including all the so called “natural methods”. From my research, and after many consultations with various shops, I decided to go with Ink Barber in Langley, BC. I found the staff there to be professional, friendly and easy going. The shop itself is exceptionally clean and comfortable, with relaxing music playing, and a variety of television options available during the actual procedure. A great overall atmosphere! My technician, Lana Miller, explained everything in great detail, which solidified my confidence in my decision to go with this shop, and specifically with her. I’m so impressed with Lana’s professionalism and attention to the finer points, in recreating the hair density on my head that I haven’t seen in years. I had three, very easy and comfortable sessions with her, each about 2 weeks apart, with amazing end results! I’m absolutely thrilled!!! People do not believe me when I tell them I got SMP , the only way is to show them my before and after. I wish I had done this a long time ago..
