Drove an hour to get Aryan to cut my son's hair, he is the only one who knows how. Never disappoints! The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the new shop looks great!

These guys are incredible. Matteo is very skilled. I walked in with a post COVID hockey helmet of hair and he fixed me up well with an awesome scissors cut. He is so skilled I didn’t even have to touch or adjust my mask as well. Very clean shop and they are great with sanitization. I am very particular about my hair and only have one barber in Toronto and one in Montreal who I go to. But I’m adding Canvas in Aurora to my list. While there I also learned that all the canvas locations are owned by a young group of friends trying to make a brand for themselves so I am happy to support young entrepreneurs! I will be back!

The shop is new and looks neat with the modern vibe and sick decors. The staff is cool and professional, they make sure everything is clean after each cut cause of the pandemic. Highly recommend.

First when I made an appointment the interaction was a little odd. It seemed that the person in the phone was trying to talk to the guy that would be cutting my hair. Maybe they did not realize that they did not mute their end or not. Easy mistake, but they were swearing on the line and I know to the wrong person that they might not enjoy that. The cut itself was really bad. They guy cutting my hair seemed to not care. He was told twice to wear his mask, was suggested to use another comb by the other worker and he still used the same one. I ended up with a glorified mushroom cut and a really bad beard trim for $40. Ended up going to another place the following day to get what was left of my hair salvaged. much better outcome. More care, texture and knowledge could be instantly felt from this stylist. Also it only cost $28 so I tipped up to the same cost as the previous cut as a thank you for saving my hair. Basically unless you're looking for a high and tight fade, which they do seem to do well ,do some extra research and go elsewhere for your cut. Sorry for being so negative but its not my intention to be on the attack I am just letting people know my experience.

Compared to the quality of the work its expensive. They also use strong perfumes in their shop not considering some people might be allergic. I simply showed them a photo of what type of haircut I wanted but the result was different. At least not a good and professional barbershop for my expectation.

First and last experience for me. Barber did not hear anything I said and butchered my hair. Had my back turned to the mirror for 85% of cut, then when it was all over and done, he proceeded to tell me how he would cut and leave things for the next time, which unfortunately was exactly what I asked him to do in the first place when he wasn't listening. If a barber is not used to cutting longer hair, or if they only know how to do 1 kind of cut they should be upfront about it. If you can't listen to what the client is asking for, thats another story in itself.

It’s always a pleasure getting a cut from Teo. The shop is always clean and a great family environment. I’ve been going to Teo for years, his cuts are consistently on point and he makes you feel at home. Very generous with the espressos and candy for the kids. Excellent overall experience!

My teenager son went to the salon for a haircut, which was the standard fading and a little shorter to the top.After almost 50 minutes, I picked him up and asked to pay with my debit, I was told I can only pay cash or e- transfer. When I said I didn't have cash with me, the owner or whoever was in charge, directed me to an ATM machine they have in the salon.I was able to find a $50 note , which they had no change to give me and Kind of stood there waiting for me to solve this issue.The charge was $30, and I ended up giving 40, hence 25% tip. So far I have no issue but then I took my son home and noticed that the actual haircut is bad, more like a bad mullet, he told me the hairdresser was new, which explains why the long waiting time. I will not return again to their services, both about the unfortunate haircut and about the sketchy transaction.

I recently got my sons hair cut at Canvas Barbershop and i couldn't be more pleased. From the moment we walked in the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. My son was a little nervous about getting his hair cut but Beez our barber made him feel very comfortable. Ive never seen a child smile or laugh during a haircut and i was really nice to see. Beez took the time to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and didn't rush us at all. He was very knowledgeable and even gave us tips for my sons hair. I would highly recommend Canvas Barbershop
