The Walper Barbers are a group of welcoming and genuine professionals from right in the Waterloo Region. I went into their original location on a whim one day, and immediately felt comfortable and supported. I am an individual who has quite a bit of hair on my head, and often ask for a couple off-the-wall suggestions. Sandra was able to accommodate my requests and spent time getting to know me. I highly recommend this place to any gentlemen looking to get their hair cut, beard trim/shape. The new location is beautiful and they are all so passionate about their profession, it shows in their attitude towards their customers. Thank you to The Walper Barbers for taking care of my mane!

This is probably the best barber shop downtown, there are barbers and hairstylists, these barbers were kicked out of the Walper hotel, after 26 years of working there, in favour of bringing in some "hip" new trendy barbers, to try and keep the hotels guests from leaving the hotel to spend money (It is now twice the $$$ of what it was for a haircut,since they were kicked out.)

Oh wow, this is a historical hidden gem of barber shops, just like they used to be 130 years ago! I am very pleased with my haircut, the staff is friendly, and the price was fair too, wonderful interiors, all original flooring from 1900's and other original antique items of the gone by era, very clean and professional barber salon. However, heard they're moving soon, like within another month or so (Posting Publicly on May 22, 2019). Call ahead maybe you too will be able to experience this place in its full historical glory as I did, before it's too late! Enjoy!
