I've been coming to see Tony at Oasys Joes for more than 5 years now and I can't recommend this place enough. Great, consistent, professional cuts every-time (he knows the cut I like so I don't even have to tell him what I want anymore). My hair is dense and directed forward/downward and he's the only barber I've been to that knows how to deal with it and make the cut look great. Give this place a call and you'll be satisfied, guaranteed!

The 2 guys that take appointments are great. I would avoid walk-ins because when I went, they had another guy take care of those, and he wasn't very good. He rushes the job, constantly distracted by the TVs, and tries very hard to make conversation about awkward topics.

Where should I start? I arrived ten minutes before they opened on a snowy cold day and they were already open eagerly awaiting to get the day started. I was immediately greeted with open arms and as a first time customer they got to know me and the hairstyle I was going for. The barber was EXTREMELY professional asking be if I'd like a beard trim without me even saying anything. He asked me multiple times if I was happy with what he had done so far and I was impressed every time. I've had many hair cuts in my life, but this one just felt like he knew exactly which way to hold the razors and which way to cut. He was so in depth that he noted one, one single hair that was too long and cut it to match the others. I will be a long time customer while in Waterloo. They make you feel extremely comfortable in their abilities and they are extremely open to how you want your hair to look. To sum this all up. Go there. You will be extremely happy with the outcome. For anyone who complains about the wait times - book an appointment! This is one of the many things I love about this place. You can schedule a time, show up, and get a haircut without having to wait! If you show up on a Saturday (walk in day) and they are slammed that just speaks to the quality of cut and treatment you get at this place. Haircuts are always fantastic, cool atmosphere, great guys working there. Won't get my hair cut anywhere else in K/W. (but seriously - book an appointment!)

I went here for the first time last weekend. With the health restrictions I made an appointment over the phone (very easy, quick conversation). They took excellent health precautions and the haircut was excellent too. Everything said and done was just shy of 30 minutes. Will certainly go there again.

Great job! I normally detest changing barbers because my hair does some weird things and I usually have to explain how it's done, and/or change it myself when I get home... Not these guys! Joe was not only friendly and inexpensive, but Joe knew exactly how to do my hair without me having to explain everything which speaks highly of his experience. If you're looking for a place you can just waltz in and sit down, look elsewhere. There's a reason it's difficult to get in to Joe's; it's a quality cut for $20 (last time I was there anyway). MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!! To those leaving negative reviews, I highly recommend going to a salon where you can have a warm cloth on your face, a scalp massage, and a nice soft tissue to help you tuck your manhood between your legs. Only $80 for a cut that looks like something Adam Levine would wear! >.<

Stepped in, Joe cut my hair for me and must I say they know what they are doing. I can easily say that was the best haircut I've had in my life, and it's for a reasonable price too. I would recommend this place for sure, you even have the option to walk in or book an appointment by phone. They also do a nice straight razor shave there, and they are all very friendly. Great place!

Very happy with the two barbers at Oasis Joe's! I'm not living in the area any more, I'm going to miss them. My rule of thumb to assess the quality of a haircut is the number of unsolicited compliments I receive about it, and their service did not disappoint!

1. People seem to like it cause the guys there try to make (and mostly succeed, I guess) non-awkward chit chat. 2. Got my hair cut twice, wasn't happy either time. It wasn't awful, but one of the times it was bad, the other one it was just not really good. 3. They seemed to have difficulty following my directions, which was frustrating considering their stellar ratings... 4. You need to call at least a week in advance to make an appointment. What is this, the White House? Like I don't have enough other things to plan in this 21st century... 5. If you go there on Saturdays (when you can't make an appointment) and you go later than *three hours before they close,* they won't have any space for you. An alternative is to go 4 hours before they close, and likely wait like an hour or two for the haircut. It's not gold people, it's a haircut, no one should wait for that that long. 6. Oh, and yes, if you don't want to get up early on a Saturday morning and waste some time waiting, then good luck scheduling your life if you work until 5pm because they close at 5pm other than on Thursdays (when they close at 8pm - wow, "so much time" :P )

Made my way down from Hamilton to get a haircut on a Saturday (which is Oasis Joe's walk-in only day). Arrived at 11:30am, and was told "We're full." and nothing more. That happens when an establishment is busy, but there was absolutely zero customer service provided; no apologies, no offers of an appointment in lieu of a walk-in, no anything. I made the hour-long drive in an effort to be a patron of this business, but it's unfortunate the business didn't make any effort in return. I won't be coming back here as a result.
