Visiting Kitchener on a Saturday afternoon & stopped into Value Village to browse Halloween with my kids. My 7 year old son's hair was getting a bit unruly so we pulled into the barber shop to see if they could fit him in. They were packed, the energy & the smell in there was amazing. They were polite, addressed me right away & he was in the chair in 10 minutes. One of the best hair cuts my kid's every had; he has a thick crown that always seems to be standing up even right after some cuts. I'd drive the hour or make it part of a trip to get it done there again in a heartbeat.

Took my significant other to this barber shop at a friend's recommendation. The decor is cool and provides a welcoming atmosphere. We were unsure of what we were looking for but Mohamad took care of everything and we are very happy with the outcome. Mohamad provided friendly, professional, and fast service. He also didn't try to make uncomfortable small talks - which was nice. All services offered are very affordable for the quality. (In a plaza with many parking spaces. I've been a regular at the Cambridge location for the past couple years. I Actually travel from Milton to Cambridge location but being that I was in Kitchener for work I decided to stop by. Muhammad is super friendly As is his brother Yasser from the Cambridge location. They both show you respect as you come in through the door and greet you. The decor is very nice also in this location as I mentioned to Mohammed that it looks like a barber shop that would be in a Toronto mall. I Have been going in there for a while, today I had what I was told is the owner cutting my hair. He cut and styled my hair flawlessly in an extremely fast time. He did my two younger brothers as well. He was quite entertaining and kept the conversation lively enough that I didn’t get bored. Music was a good volume and the atmosphere was quite welcoming. My favourite spot in town, highly reccomend. Never been dissatisfied with a cut from them since they opened.

They even gave me a fade! (The place I used to go to that was $10 more expensive didn’t know how to do fades) overall excellent and would definitely recommend. My barber’s name was Omar. Come here if you want to show your beard that it is weaker than it is from cutting your beard too close It is interesting how Darcy Y says that he can trust his beard at this barbershop because I went in to get a beard trim and it wasn't symmetrical. One side was cut too close to the jaw and it look like I had a weak beard and I guess he noticed it and improved on the other side - served by Mohamad himself After $20 I left with a partial weak beard - thought of shaving it all off and starting all over (it took me almost a year to get it to this length)

I used the same barber past 3 years. Recently moved to Kitchener and travel back to my barber part 4 month's. Decided to try finding one in town, I called Mohamad's and Mo. Answered and was very pleasant. Booked me in for later same day. Awesome atmosphere and customer service. I'm really picky, so few things I anticipate getting better in terms of my cut. But overall I was quite impressed. Pricing is ok for area I assume... Toronto barber shops are cheaper on average. Highly recommend. I just may have found a new barber.

It's a family-run and locally-owned business with Mohamad and his brother sharing the responsibility of running the Kitchener and Cambridge shops. I could tell my barber was a little inexperienced but he took his time to make sure he did a good job. Walked in a couple days after COVID-19 lockdown was lifted, expected to have to book an appointment but I didn't and that led to Ahmed or Mohamad (slipped my mind) giving me one (if not the best) Bald Fade Comb Overs. The Cambridge location told me to go to the Kitchener one. I did, they cut me everywhere on my neck when lining up my beard. I got pictures. They told me I ain't getting a refund even though their own receptionist literally agreed that I had a bloody neck and agreed that she saw. Some guy came up on the phone being all disrespectful saying they did my beard good and that it was a pimple that they cut. That does not explain the other cuts tho. My beard is higher on one side than the other side too. They used his experience as an excuse. They basically said your on your own. I won't ever be going back again. I don't write reviews, but these people are so bad I felt compelled, says a lot about them...

I've been going to mohamad's location in Cambridge for years, the service is top notch and every barber is able to pull off the toughest of haircuts, which is really impressive since most barbershops have only 1 good barber. cut my hair here several times last 2 times were from new barbers with the last seeming to have absolutely zero experience cutting hair. they have a couple skilled guys but the receptionists are a joke and the reason i won’t be returning. i came 10 minutes prior to my appointment and i guess they didn’t see me walk in as they were busy fooling around. after waiting 15 minutes and seeing multiple people walk in and get cut i asked them what’s going on and received a shocked and confused look. they said they didn’t know i was waiting for a cut.. next thing you know one of the receptionists gets up and says she’ll cut my hair. this lady had absolutely no idea what she was doing. literally 40 agonizing minutes later what seemed to be the manager stumbles in and finishes off my cut. i have never had such a bad experience at a barber

Took my two boys to get a haircut. Never again. The hairdresser was a young lady. I was nervous as i watched her cut my 7 yo son’s Hair bc I’ve never seen someone cut hair so fast with a clipper and scissors.Then near the end I saw my son who is a quiet,obedient boy, there were tears in his eyes. I asked her why is he crying and she said she had nicked him on his ear with the scissors. She said she didn’t want to say anything and make a big deal out of it to cause him to be more upset. I looked at my son’s right ear and it was bleeding! I was livid but too shocked to say anything. There was no apology whatsoever from her which I felt was unprofessional and it would made the situation a little better if she had apologised. It felt like she was trying to get both of my sons haircut finished in 30 minutes which she did,so there she made her profit. two haircuts in just under 30 minutes! will give you an idea of how fast she was going. Wow, I’ve never had such a negative experience at a hair salon.

Mohamad' Barber Shop cut my hair 2 weeks ago for the first time and I am happy to say I am booking again when thay open. I am a busy entrepreneur and have a hard time booking appointments. The staff were great and told me to drop in. It was fairly busy when I walked in and I was still served within 15 of grabbing a coffee from Tims across the parking lot. Service was on par. Can't say anything negative it was sharp and professional. I have not found a barber with 100% service, convenient times and reasonable prices since mine went out of buisness two years ago. My husband visited this barber shop on a Sunday morning, the place was busy. The barber who cut his hair was quite inexperienced, he did a terrible job. The hair was cut very unevenly, he didn’t part the hair despite us telling him repeatedly to do so. At the end, he called the head barber/owner to come over and have a look at his work and the owner made some comments and a did a 2 min “fix” which didn’t turn out well at all. This is an expensive barber shop and I would expect better service and value for my money. Will not be returning, there are better options in KW.

I came in today to get my beard cleaned up while keeping most of the length, and I guess there was some miscommunication because I ended up with a much shorter beard. So why the 5 stars? Because they genuinely care and are really good at what they do. Even though I lost length, the lines were perfect. My barber was Moon and when I wasn't happy with the result, I could see it made him unhappy too. Mohamad also apologized for the miscommunication as well multiple times. The shop itself is beautiful, clean and well organized. I'll definitely be back.

Apparently this barber shop uses heads of their paying customers to train their new employees with NO hair cutting experience. Result is a disaster. If you read the google reviews for the shop and If you like to try them, thinking that you will get your hair cut and hair style in the most professional barber shop of the entire city, stop there and consider my experience. If it is your first time in the shop, make sure that the person behind the chair has at least couple weeks of hair cutting experience. If you do not make sure that the barber does have enough experience to hold the clippers properly, you will regret your decision of sitting on that chair. If you sit on the chair without knowing what is going to happen, you will bear the consequences. You will get two separate hair cuts. First cut will be from the new employee (trainee) and at the end of the job you will get the funniest haircut you have had in your entire lifetime. If you have not run out the shop yet, the owner is going to come near you as nothing happened and try to give you second hair cut but the attempt for the second hair cut from the owner will not come out as a success story. The funniest hair cut you had in your life will turn into the worst hair cut you will have in your whole life since you will have no hair left to be styled. Perhaps the only solution for you will be to shave your entire head. It is totally understandable to train people in a barber shop. On the other hand the barber shop management should make their first time customers aware that they will get the cut from the person who has neither enough experience nor knowledge about the business. The management should also specify that sometimes cuts from the clippers in a hand of an inexperienced fellow could be so deep so that the hair cut can not be fixable unless customer shaves his entire head. The management must also mention that customer is not going get the hair cut that he or she wants. If customer consents the situation and accepts the consequences, barber shop can go ahead and start to cut the hair. If there is no consent from the customer then the shop can not start the hair chopping process. Without the consent and approval of the customers the barber shop is going to look very sneaky and unprofessional. The reason I am writing this review is to inform prospective first timers of this barber shop about the possible terrible outcomes. You can not turn the clock back after the hair that you have been growing for months is completely chopped out in couple of minutes. Also, there are some fruit flies flying in the store. During the cut time you have to adapt and learn how to get along with them. Would I go there again? I would never do a second business with the people who were not utterly honest with me upfront. Would I recommend this shop to other people? I would never recommend the business to anybody else where I would never go to. I hope this review will be useful source for the people who read those wonderful google reviews on the internet and who plan to go there as their first time in the future. Do not forget to make sure and demand that your hair will be cut and styled by a talent who has enough experience in the business.

There's a reason this place has such a high rating. You feel like your in a barber shop from the movies. The people are friendly and up beat and no doubt know what they are doing. The price can't be beat in town. I've paid double what it cost here and received half the service and attention they provided. I will be going back.

The last 3 times I've gone to Mohammeds I have not had an appointment. I have only once had to wait 20 minutes to be seated for my haircut. They are always fairly busy but always have someone available for walk-ins which is great. Omar has cut my hair the last few times and always does a great job. He takes care in his trade and always gives the cut a final look over to get rid of any minor imperfections. All around great shop. Not to mention they are cheaper then other barber shops and can handle much more volume.

The one barber in his mid 20s tries to fight me because I’m upset with the way my hair was cut and continues to tell me I’m wrong, then after I continuously tell him the side are clear as day not even he gestures to hand me the clippers and tells me to do better ??? Excuse me ? I come to your establishment to get my haircut because your the professional, then when you make the mistake you tell the customer to do it better themselves. Absolutely terrible look for your business in front of an entire shop full of people. Then chases me out of the store trying to fight me ??? What kind of barber shop is this , it’s a joke is what it is. Can’t even take constructive criticism. Unbelievable, I DO NOT recommend this place for anyone that actually takes pride in their hair. Professional and comfortable environment, and a group of guys with a genuine passion for what they do. Hard to come by these days. I set an appointment for a time slot for my son's to have their hair cut before school, I showed up place was busy they had no appointment in the system for me to be found after a 10 min phone call and appointment made. offered to wait n cut still. I waited outside the doors as the place was very packed people sitting on the couch maskless drinking coffees. I waited for approx 30 mins for more people to come & pass by to get a cut we waited and left with nothing. I was left with no place or time to get there cuts before school I was very disappointed with the unorganization and how the situation was handled.

The receptionist was oddly aggressive in asking me to write an online review when I was paying for my haircut which I found off-putting. Despite the pushiness I decided to write a positive review as my barber, Toofy, is extremely talented, consistent and professional. He has cut my hair several times now and I have not once received anything short of exactly what I ask for. If you're going to Mohamad's, ask for Toofy (Kitchener location).

Excellent experience 10/10! Grew out the hair during Covid and wanted to find a new look. Wanted to switch it up a bit. Mohamad took my input and added his flavor to help me style it up in a way that suited me perfectly. More than just a barber, he’s a stylist and an artist. Guy left me feeling so fresh. I was his last client of the day and still gave me the royal treatment. Shows he takes great pride in his work. All of the staff benefit from his 15+ yrs of experience so I’m sure they’re all great!
