Can’t say enough good things about Lucy’s Barber shop. Great careful cut, warm shaving cream on neck, hot towels and her warm personality.

Great place to get your haircut by someone who seriously cares about their customer. Lucy is friendly, outgoing, but respectful in case you aren't much for talking. Gave a great haircut, very conscious of your instructions and is careful. Uses a straight razor for trimming which is in my opinion the best for any look. Would highly recommend supporting a great local business next time you need a cut or a shave.

I've been going to Lucy for years. Quick, sloppy and doesn't care is not what she is about......Lucy is the exact opposite of that, ...she is amazing! A wonderful personality, quality cut, never feel rushed. Her shop is inviting and you'll feel like your in an old style barber shop....comfortable chair, hot towel, scalp massage....always look forward to haircut time! No reason to even consider going anywhere else.

Actually was denied a hair cut because of my gender. I have a very short hair cut with one side shaved down and faded. I went to lucy's because my husband was going here with my son. After waiting 40 minutes and listening to lucy talk to other clients in a way that was hinting/giving off clues that she didnt want to cut my hair. She was making comments such as "mens hair is my speciality, that's my job" etc etc. ( my hair is no different ) . When it was finally my turn, I asked to have it washed and she said " I am not doing that today". I told her I thought she offered Ladies hair cuts as it is Advertised outside and inside . (INCLUDING HAIR WASH FOR EXTRA $ btw) She then became agitated and said " you are the client I guess Ill have to do what you want so sit and I'll wash your hair" She made me feel like an actual idiot in front of people behind me and I was mad my husband ever supported her business in past. She then told me she has all "her men" come in for their cuts and now they'll have to wait because of me. This is the first time I have been treated like this at a salon or barber. I left very upset as I wasted my time on day off for this. The next day I went to different barber with much nicer shop in kitchener and was greeted politely. I washed my hair before going thinking they would be annoyed to wash it like Lucy was but they said they do it all the time and encourage women to go there. Even saying " if you are a woman with a short cut you are safe with an experienced barber because they know how to use clippers etc. Where as not all stylists are comfortable. " I am sickened by this and even thought of going a step further so she doesn't treat another woman like this. Im guessing that is why I dont see any reviews from women with short hair.

If you want a attention to detail barber, Lucy is your girl. She is truely the salt of the earth. Great attitude, always friendly, and a great conversationalist. Her service isnt for a person on a strict budget, but you pay for what you get. Highly recommended.
