I looked for a barbershop in Waterloo and found many inconsistent and/or pricy locations. Ash always does a good job. The professional and clean atmosphere of this barbershop makes it the place to go in KW. I have never had a bad cut from him here.

Headline barber shop is one of the best barber shops that I have been to. They are a very professional establishment. The location is nice and clean, and very well kept. The hairdressers will always listen to your requests, and your hair will come out looking better than before. In the years that I have been visiting Headline, I have never been dissatisfied with a cut. I will continue to come to this establishment for many years to come. In this post pandemic world, Headline barber shop continues to follow COVID protocols, so you will need to book an appointment online since they don’t accept walk ins, but they will professionally cut your hair with your mask still on. An amazing place, and I would gladly recommend this location to anyone wanting to get a haircut.

Customer service was good but I had the "apprentice" cut my hair. Went way to high on the fade and it had to be fixed by the owner. It's fine to have an apprentice but make sure customers know before. Also if you don't know how to do a cut don't start. The owner save it but be more up front about these things

I went there for the first time last week, the big guy muscular guy cut my hair did a great job,unfortunately I forgot his name but I thought he deserves this review!!! ( you cant miss him anyways :p ) he doesn't just cut hair, he actually understand HAIR. I am a person who is loosing hair and I have never had a barber that made my hair look so good even with me loosing my hair, he understand how my hair is and he goes with the flow!!!! I recommend him over anyone in Ontario that I ever got a cut from!! give him a try and you will know what I am talking about

The standard haircut here is $18, tax inclusive. I'm no hair enthusiast, but the barber seemed like he really knew what he was doing. He was even able to tell what kind of cut I wanted without me saying anything. He also payed much more attention to the little intricacies of my hair than other barbers that I've been to. Would come here again.

Decided to try it out after hearing all these positive reviews, and the barber was definitely top-notch! The only tip I can provide was try to not come during rush hour (seems to be around 4-7 on weekdays), as you may have to wait a while. But they have a very nice atmosphere, and TV to boot!

SORRY BUT- Try and find anybody with a pair of scissors to cut your hair for you. I went in and looked at the barber who had a military style haircut. Hair on top and nothing on the sides. I told him what i was looking for, a little trim. He immediately took out his clippers and cut my hair to match his style. Using clippers to perform a haircut is like using a chainsaw to cut cheese. Won't be back!

Decent haircut but wouldn't go if you actually have something specific in mind. Mine was cut shorter than I asked and the guy made decisions with the cut without asking me for my preference. The haircut is fine but not what I wanted as I didn't have much say in it beyond the beginning.

I went to Waterloo for five years for undergrad and spent the first four years hunting for a barber. During that time I had a lot of decent and okay haircuts. Headline barber is the only place I found where I could get a good, if not amazing (and it was mostly amazing), haircut everytime. Each member of their staff is friendly or funny and can deliver a good cut. 10/10 would recommend to any students in the area
