I have been with Tiff and Bamboo Salon for years. During that time I have introduced her to many of my friends and their families. They still use Bamboo Salon and the stylists after all of these years. Tiff has always been flexible with my schedule and tries to accommodate all of her clients. I leave the Salon always feeling fantastic. She has been hiliting and cutting my hair and my children's hair since they were very little. My now 16 year old daughter has had her hair styled for some wonderful events by Bamboo Salon. When Tiff's schedule is packed they always accommodate with another stylist. My daughter raves about Amber and Hailey's cuts as well. I am a fan of Tiff's and once you find a great stylist you never want to switch. My son used to use Tiff and Amber but won't let anyone but Nick cut his hair now. He just knows what teens want. My husband just recently gave up his barber and now enjoys the Nick's haircut as well. Walking into Bamboo Salon you immediately feel the warmth and caring atmosphere. It's like having coffee with girlfriends. You will always enjoy your time.

I have been to Haley on many occasions. I take all of my boys there too. (Ages 3,13,18) We all love her abs she does gorgeous work! Her coloring is fabulous and all of us come out looking wow!! I went to Morgan last year with yellow, dead, hair. She immediately got to work to try to get me to the icey blonde that I wanted in the first place. She was honest and let me know that it would take some time, but assured me that I would get to where I wanted! She even helped me nourish my hair and got me the supplies that I needed within my budget. Since then, I have never been anywhere else other than Bamboo. The salon is beautiful, Morgan is amazing, as is the rest of the staff! Love this place so much.

I’ve been a long time client and I’m happy every time I leave. Tiffany offers great advice and explains what a realistic expectation is. Tiffany is great at suggesting products and discussing easy ways to style my hair. I’ve also had extensions done by Corrie a few times. With multiple methods of installing extensions, she told me the pros and possible cons of each. I was so happy with the end result. I love the atmosphere and all the staff for welcoming. I highly recommend the salon and most of my family and friends go to Bamboo Hair Salon too.

It was my first time here. My usual hair stylist who’s been doing my hair for years was fully booked due to Covid. I had a haircut with Maura about 15 minutes ago and I’m super unimpressed with her service. Poor chair side manner, no creativity (I had to ask for her to fix my hair and shape it at the end), and made me feel like I was not welcomed. Definitely not recommending this place.

(New) Amber is kind and talented. All of the women in the salon are very kind and welcoming as well, and the studio has a very professional and comfortable vibe to it. These ladies definitely know what they are doing. However, the prices are pretty ridiculous -- nearly had a heart attack when I left! I wouldn't be as bummed out if there was a drastic change to my hair, but it just looks cleaned up -- charged 300$ for brightening and a trim. I won't be returning, but decently happy with how my hair turned out. There's definitely better salon options in Kitchener for cheaper!

I have never been happy and confident with my hair. That is until I discovered the talented girl Morgan at Bamboo Hair Salon. My hair was damaged extremely bad to the point I had to stop dying / using heat on my hair for a few years due to extreme breakage. I ended up booking an appointment with Morgan because I came across her instagram “ blondesbymorgan “ and fell in love with her work! After my first appointment my hair looked healthier then it has ever been. Not only was it healthy again, but I was ACTUALLY happy with my hair! I loved how easy it was to keep the conversation going while sitting in her chair for a few hours. She was so bubbly & had such a happy positive vibe! It’s now been over a year since I have been getting my hair done by Morgan & my hair is white / silver, it’s healthy AND down to my bum!!!!!!!!! :D

I first started seeing Tiffany when I became a mom 7+ years ago. Trying to take care of me while learning to be a mom was tricky and Tiffany was sometimes my 'therapist' as all AMAZING stylists are! I started seeing Amber when my little one needed her hair cut and with thick curly unruly hair, Amber made the cut look effortless and was so amazing I started seeing her. I figured if she can cut a moving target she can absolutely not screw my hair up! I have no idea how Amber stayed sane and calm while cutting our son's hair for the first 2-3 years- I was sweating holding him and needing a stiff drink and I wasn't the one with the sharp scissors aiming them at his head! Effortless is what she made it look like! There are not enough words to say how comfortable and part of the 'family' I feel when I go there.... I can close my eyes, and really and truly let any one of the stylists have at my hair and know that it will be exactly what I didn't know I needed!!! :) I trust them with every member of my family and THAT is saying a lot when you have kids who don't sit still on a good day!

my wife has been a client here for many years back when they were still operating out of the owners basement. However after hearing her recent stories about this salon prompted me to write a review. My wife's main hairdresser Tiffany was great until she halfed her availability and forced half of her clients to book with other stylists at her salon. Ok so she did as others did and changed hairdresser and picked the other senior stylist Amber KP. This was fine until my wife was running late for our daughter's haircut appt 5-530pm. She called the receptionist to let them know that she was running late and arrived at 515pm and expected only 10 -15 minutes of time to cut her daughters hair which is absolutely do-able in that time and instead Amber rudely tells her that she can't see her at all even though she drove 45 through rush hour from across the city! Terrible customer service and she was also told that the "manager" would call her on Tuesday which obviously never happened.. too bad lots of potential here.

I have just visited Bamboo, this being my 4th visit here, I booked an appointment online for the first time which was my first mistake. I booked in with Clara a junior stylist, in my eyes a junior stylist knows what they are doing but has to ask a senior stylist just to double check. Clara was nice enough however my hair appointment did not go to plan. I asked for root touch up, toner and hair cut. Once finished I noticed my hair seemed a lot darker after toner had been put in, in my previous appointments with Tara this has never happened but I was told it’s my hair, which is odd as I have had toner put in many times before and this has not happened as I always tell the stylist I like my hair light. It was like I shouldn’t be saying what I am saying. After leaving the salon I checked my hair and I had a lot of dye over my ears still there and the top of my head. I used several wipes to take this off. I then noticed that my grey hairs had been missed in some areas. I called back and asked for this to be fixed however I was told that they could not accommodate my request and that I can have a refund and take my business else where. This has completely shocked me as I have never had such a experience, I am not a complainer and simply asked for what I had paid for. There is something off with this salon and either I am not the right fit for the salon as maybe my skin colour does not fit them (the owner was not pleasant when I was telling them that my hair was darker) or they as a salon do not know how to treat customers.

The stylist was nearly 30 mins late for my appointment then advised me that they wouldn't have time to do what I wanted. I had booked the appointment for a full colour and cut. Almost a year ago now, I made my first appointment with Morgan. I was very nervous because I had a lot of trust issues when it came to hair stylists but Morgan quickly changed that. My hair was a HOT MESS when I walked in there. I did not feel comfortable with how it looked and as a result I kept it up so that I didn't have to show it off. During the first appointment I remember telling Morgan that I knew it was going to be a process and I was okay with that, but to make my hair tolerable. I wasn't expecting to get my vision in the first shot, I know it takes time. She finished the appointment and I couldn't explain how happy I was with the result. I was finally feeling good again. I went back to see Morgan about 6 months later to do a refresh and the result....was my dream hair. I was in love. I couldn't have been happier. I can honestly say that Morgan saved my hair. She's the nicest person and she will help you achieve that look you want. I'm happy that I chose to make that first appointment with her because now, I won't go to anyone else. <3 Thank you Morgan!

Everyone knows a good stylist/salon is hard to find. I lost my go to girl over 5 years ago and was at a lost about who to try next. I was lucky that a friend recommended Tiffany at Bamboo Salon. I was a little nervous as I loved my previous stylist but I was blown away after my first appointment. Long story short, I wouldn't let anyone else near my hair other than those at Bamboo Salon! The staff at this salon are just amazing. They are smiling, fun, outgoing and down to earth. I personally look forward to going just to enjoy the vibe when you walk through those doors. The salon is bright, clean and you can tell the owners take pride in the salon! The products used on your hair are the highest quality and my hair which is bleached from brown to blonde has never left feeling dry and processed. The other bonus is the online booking! Never again do I have to call and try to coordinate my schedule with a blind schedule over the phone. I am able to select the month and pick what works for my schedule. It's quick and easy! I've been here twice. The first time was alright. The hair salon looks great, and the staff seemed nice enough, and I liked the results of my haircut and highlights (although nothing spectacular). The second visit (with a different stylist) was terrible. I waited a good 20-25 minutes before I was even seated in a salon chair. Corrie was running quite behind. No one asked if I wanted anything to drink or if I wanted a magazine while I wait in the waiting area. Once finally seated, Corrie was working on another lady at the same time, and at one point I felt completely forgotten about (the stylist and other client went to the other room). I had bleach (for highlights) in my hair for over an hour... and during that time NO ONE came over to check on my hair or ask if I wanted anything to drink, etc. Terrible service. The day after the service - my hair feels even worse (more fried) than it did when I walked in. I really wanted to like this place, but I won't be going back. Don't over-book yourself as you're going to disappoint other clients. Or if you're running late, make sure you have enough staff to pick up the slack. I was there for 2.5 hours, and was very unimpressed.

I went into bamboo salon after reviewing the wonderful reviews but wasn’t as happy with my results. I don’t normally put negative results but feel this might help someone new going to this salon. Now I’ve only been once in this salon which means I’ve only had experience with one stylist (Tara). I told the stylist that I wanted a long ankled bob but I got a short NOT angled bob. I now have to get hair extensions because I am not happy with this cut at all. I would not recommend this salon and would never return back.

My appointment was with Tiffany. I explained in detail as well as showed her pictures of what I wanted ( I'm already a darker blonde, but wanted a platinum blonde ombre) she called my taste " tacky" more than once, and proceeded to do what she wanted with my hair, (very thin, unnoticeable highlights), She also cut the front of my hair unevenly! Charged me $190 for a terrible job. She had a rotten attitude when I expressed my concerns with her afterwards. Didn't listen to her paying customers request, insulted my taste and said platinum blonde isn't something she could do. ( after I paid her $200) I would suggest you save yourself the disappointment and spend your hard earned money else where!

She did an awesome job at fixing and styled it with nice curls. She also did my hair brunette which I loved! It helped restore hydration and suggested some awesome Moroccan Oil products. It was an ok experience. I went to see Morgan and I felt like she didn't really listen to what I wanted or have much interest in talking to me. I came in with several pictures of what I wanted for cut and colour and neither of which turned out like how I expected. Eg I wanted it a bit longer in the front and my hair is all one length now. I felt like I could have done a better job at styling my hair with the blow dry. I really liked that they were on time and not trying to do too many clients at once. I did quite a lot of research before selecting a stylist and I would give the salon another try, maybe with someone else.

I had booked my first appointment. I requested a consultation and partial highlights. When I got there my hairdresser was running behind from a problematic customer. I showed someone my two photos and she immediately started foiling my entire hair which was previously dyed without saying a word to me. When my hair dresser came over I tried to explain what I was looking for. I was very nervous my hair was covered in foils. Let's say not one person took a good look at those photos, read my email, or listen to me. When I left my entire hair had been lighten, it was now orange. I emailed the owner after I left (in tears). They were great with getting me in the studio the next morning to fix it and even provided a little gift pack. I haven't been able to bring myself back however for a few reasons. The blame was put on me, they did a balygase and told me that's what the 1st picture showed. They told me it's because my hair was previously dyed. However, if they had given me the consultation they confirmed I had, looked at both pictures and listened when I kept repeating I want partial highlights it never would of happened. They seem like they know what their doing this was a communication issue. I'm aware I don't know hair stylist lingo which was why I was adament on the consult, the pictures, etc. If I had been given a genuine apology without the shift of blame I'd be comfortable with a much higher rating. I left the shop with light highlighted hair that looked not even remotely close to what I want. It's way over processed because of the error (I have fragile hair to start with) I now have to forgo growing my hair out until everything grows out. The place has parking.Friendly staff. Very clean. They did a great job with the cut and style. Accommodating if you are unhappy with the colour.

The Girl said that next time we will be closer to the beautiful Ash Blonde that you want, after her 2nd $150 appointment she came out with even more disgusting chicken yellow hair. they did layered highlights and Toner. Both girls said that with the most amazing voices "Ohhh, you are going to LOVE it, it's going to be AMAZING" what happened was garbage! there were 4 black spots on her head that were never coloured. One dead centre in the front, big ones behind both ears, and one in the middle of her head. $150 and this is what she got. I HIGHLY DON"T recommend this place and I am amazed we even get the money back. My wife coloured her own hair at home the very next day to try and fix their mistakes. PROFESSIONAL Salon? Would you colour your own hair after going to a PROFESSIONAL Salon? Enough said!! Absolutely Pi$$ed off to throw away money to this place!!!!

Tiffany is amazing at what she does. My colour is always rich and natural looking and the cut and style always makes me feel good about myself. On the odd day when Tiffany isn't available I've had great experiences with Haley, Amber and Emily doing my colour too. I was referred by a friend to go see tiff and left the very first time extremely happy and knew I finally found the right place. She is reasonably priced and the quality of the result is well worth the money! :) I will never go to another salon! So happy with the results I have experienced. I always recommend her to friends. Love the atmosphere, products, quality, and of course the team. I have had my hair highlighted and cut and actually trusted tiff to chop my hair off ( which I never thought I would ever do). Now I am growing it out and trusting the process of making my hair more and more blonde in a healthy way. My hair has never felt so good and healthy since going to bamboo! I had a bad experience at other salons where I left never getting the result I wanted. They listen to what you want and make sure it is reasonable for your hair type. Also any special event I have to go to I book in with either Tiffany or Amber and leave with a beautiful hair do that looks pretty and natural ( exactly what I request)! Love love this salon. Loving the Kevin Murphy products and the new moroccan oil line. I would definately recommend Bamboo Hair Salon! If you would like an amazing salon you must give them a try! Promise you will want to go back!

Haley is the BEST! She took her time doing a full head of beautiful blonde baby lights on me with incredible attention to detail... I got asked (a month and a half later) if I just got my hair done! My colour has stayed incredibly fresh, with a natural-looking grow out (no harsh lines at all!) and the cut has kept its shape. Blonde can be tough to work with, but Haley seriously nailed it! I have recommended this salon to multiple friends already and am so looking forward to my next appointment!!

10/10. I recommend this salon and Morgan specifically to everyone I know. She was very patient and determined. Listened to everything I wanted and did everything in her power to make sure I was happy with the results. She took her time to explain the things she would be doing for me to ensure there was no surprises with my hair or with the cost. She took my home made faded red-orange completely killed hair and made it something beautiful. My hair has never felt or looked healthier or better. For everything she did for me it also didn’t break the bank, i will always go to Morgan and the lovely ladies at bamboo for all my hair care needs!! ????
