After a series of disappointing haircuts in Winnipeg, i randomly came across this place and decided to give it a try and i have been going back since. Have had the pleasure of receiving service from Sofia, who is absolutely delightful and did a great job. Romeo, who did a meticulous job and he is very proficient with straight razor. And Kaleigh who has very gentle hands. All of them are true artists.

Have been seeing Ashley for shellac manicures since the opening of the shop. Always has good openings in her schedule. She always does a fabulous job, suggests new colors and designs, and is always very welcoming and friendly. I have had a couple times where the color didn't turn out the way it was supposed to, but she made time in her schedule to fix it for me right away. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars: My sister and I came in together, I saw Ashley, she saw Kaleigh, both for shellac. My sister asked for a replication of polish she had in a photo. Kaleigh said it would be no problem at first, but then halfway through said it wasn't possible and my sister ended up with a manicure that looked like something for a little girl instead of a 23 year old woman. I understand that replicating something from a photo is difficult and may not be exactly what you see in the photo, but for Kaleigh to say she could do the design, then change her mind halfway through was unprofessional. Luckily, my sister was able to see Ashley again later that day to get it fixed up, so again thank you to Ashley for fabulous service! Other than the one bad experience, Kaleigh is a very friendly technician and I would not hesitate to see her for esthetics.

The WKND Hair Salon is the best barber/stylist shop in the city, especially for men. I see all kinds of people walk in and out with amazing fresh styles. Ali and Romeo (father and son team) are the guys I use most of the time but all of the people working there are talented. One of the few if only places in Winnipeg that will do straight razor work for no additional charge. Makes the lines and edges of your hair cut really stand out and stay longer. If you like a fade then you'll get the best fade cut bar none in Winnipeg. Price for a regular men's cut is reasonable and comparable to other places in Winnipeg but the service, style, and atmosphere of this shop is the best.

My cut was done and styled in 40 minutes and exactly what I wanted, for a reasonable price. It was easy to get a slot for a haircut - I was in the day after I called. The next time I came the stylist was behind and I waited an extra half hour past my booking. Of note- you walk through the salon to get to the reception. Initially I wasn’t sure where to go when I walked in.

A trendy hair salon on the outskirts of downtown. You can even have a drink on the rocks while getting your lid done up. When you walk in your greated by the staff and the desk is in more of the back of the business. But the real hit of this shop is Damir the Barber if you want a sick fade, or a design cut into your style check this guy out. Sit back in his custom chair and chill while he does his thing. A good price as well for a great cut. ✌

Got an appointment the next day, Sofia gave me the exact haircut that I wanted plus dyed it too, she actually paid attention to what I was saying and then delivered, I have previously been to five different salons in which they would just glance at what I was showing them and then proceed to do something remotely similar to what I wanted. Anyhow, she is attentive, she doesn't force conversation (which i found refreshing cause im not talkative but always feel i should to be polite), everyone at the salon was friendly and i overall recommend her/them, you cant leave disappointed!

I was here about 6+ months ago but never left a review but after my buddy said he also had a not so great experience also I decided to write one. I set up an appointment for a men's haircut. Waited over an hour for the hair dresser to show up, she never did. Nobody asked if I wanted anything or needed anything while I waited. I contemplated leaving but I had an appointment already and I needed my haircut and didn't feel like rescheduling it or finding another place to fit me in for the day. I eventually got a haircut but from another hairdresser who did a good job but it was rushed and she seemed like she didn't want to be doing it at all.

Everyone is busy doing there own stuff not even Hi or Hello to the customer this is how they welcome customers !! Then one guy came after 30mins and asked if you have an appointment and I said, Yes with Alyssia. He then replied oh sorry sir Alyssia is busy you have to wait till 5pm or just come back again @5pm. I was like I already called and booked for 3:30pm and now you’re aaking me to go and come back. Then he said the other guy is free he’s name is Damir if you want to go with him. As I have no choice I said ok. Now comes the worst and most embarrassing part guess what, Damir started doing my haircut and all of sudden he did the most unprofessional move started on one side and asked me to leave because he had appointment with other guy. I mean who does that this is so weird. I would never go there ever and will tell all my friends not to go. I would give ZERO Ratings for this store. how can you ask someone to get up when you cut them half he said he’ll do it in five minutes okay but haircuts don’t take five minutes why did he even touch my hair if he couldn’t finish the job. Put me in your place and see would you walkout of somehwere with half of your hair cut and other half just like that.

Booked an appointment for 1030 was on time an had to wait till 11 to get my hair cut . I was starting to worry because u have to pay for parkin n i didnt want to geta ticket if my tab expires. they sent me to the rookie they had in the shop n he didnt know what he was doing . He cut my hair backwards it was ridiculous. I wanted a box fade n he gave me like an undercut lol i was really disappointed. I called the shop n told them what happened , the owner told me to come down whenever i had time . When i arrived to get my hair fixed, i showed the owner what needed to be done an he told me to takea seat . To fix my hair probably would have took 5 to 8 minutes max but sure enough their hairdresser's we're finishing other people and taking breaks and then not addressing my hair an then takin there next appointment. I sat there for 15 minutes waiting to get my hair fixed an then walked out.. nobody's time is free so why should I have to sit there and wait when I already paid he also said you'd give me a full refund when he didn't????

I’ve been to The WKND Hair Salon twice so far and Heinz is my stylist! I originally went to the salon 6 months ago to have my hair cut off - I went from long hair past my shoulders to a pixie cut! Heinz was so friendly to be around, made me feel comfortable, and I loved how my hair turned out! I just went back recently and he took my naturally light brown hair and turned it into this light silver colour that I adore! 10/10 would recommend him as a stylist. He is definitely my go-to now for my hair!
