You will not find a better barbershop in the Durham region. Johnny has been cutting my hair since ~2002/03, and I have never had my ears clipped on a cut, my chin cut during a shave, nor seen Johnny shave-off time at the expense of quality service. I moved out to Belleville two years ago (~1hr20min away) and I make the trip back into Oshawa for my haircuts and the occasional straight razor shave (when I feel like pampering my face). Johnny's is worth the trip in from Belleville; it's definitely worth visiting if you're a local. Service is personal, the atmosphere is uniquely Johnny, and you know that whether you're a first-timer, or one of Johnny's old guard, when you sit down in the shop, you're family. As a footnote, they're a busy joint (as anywhere worth it's salt is going to be in high demand) so it's recommended that you book an appointment rather than shooting for walk-in service.

Mel was amazing and it should go without saying that the cuts were perfect. Kids cuts in my experience with my little guy have been a bit of a hatched job. No such thing at Johnny's. One of the worst hair cuts I've had. Asked for a fade and it was not faded in the least. Wasn't asked if I liked it before being told she was done. Went to a different place to have it fixed and have gotten way better hair cuts for half the price.

Probably one of the best barbershops Ive been to next to Joseph's salon at the Oshawa mall. The staff at Johnny Cuts is super nice, kind and respectful to your needs and wants. This is the barbershop you need to go. The atmosphere was incredible, the greeter was inviting and it didn't feel like a run of the mill "get in - get out" barbershop. Mel cut my hair today, I went in looking shaggy, came out with a new shot of confidence. I asked for a mid fade and a low volume quiff; happily ending up with exactly that. My hair is a little funny at times and most barbers don't know how to cut it properly, but Mel knew exactly what needed to be done as well as spent time going over styling tips and other products they use in the shop. I would be insane to go anywhere but here knowing what kind of a job they do. I have never been pleased leaving a barbershop and I'm high strung when it comes to my appearance. Mel did an amazing job and I highly recommend her to anyone considering trying this place out. Be sure to schedule your appointment before you need it, this place is packed with clients and I think the odds of same day appointments are slim to know. Mel I will see you again in a few weeks, I can't express via the English language just how happy I am with my new hair!

Every once in a while, I finally look in the mirror and say "ok buddy, it's time for a haircut." However, picking a place to visit is always a dreadful experience. I've gone to a few different places in the past, but I always leave with some sort of gripe toward my experience. Today, I left Johnny Cuts knowing that I had found a Barbershop I want to return to. Johnny Cuts is more than just a great haircut, it is an experience from start to finish. Johnny Cuts creates a very relaxed and personal experience that is comfortable and unique. I was first greeted by Johnny, who offered me a coffee. It's too bad I don't drink coffee. A moment had passed and I was seated for my cut. I had the pleasure of having Pattie Mac cut my hair and she really did a wonderful job. The amount of care and detail that went into my haircut went far beyond my expectations. No hair was unaccounted for. I'm truly impressed. So, great haircut, great hospitality, great experience. 5/5 would recommend.

Had a cut by Aaron. You can tell someone is passionate about what they are doing when they explain the cut to you and show you their tools. Aaron was awesome. The cut was great. He gave amazing customer service!! Feel like the guy could talk to anyone. No awkward silence which is always the worst when you have to sit there for 30min. haha Thanks Aaron.
