Patrick was amazing in squeezing me into a packed schedule. Went in unsheared. Walked out trimmed and brimmed. Patrick had a lot of tips, ideas and suggestions for someone like me who doesn't pay much attention to appearance. $60 for a haircut and beardtrim. I've had cheaper ones( good and bad). This place though stands out. Never walked out a shop looking sharper and more impressed with myself. Patrick has an experiance of 10yrs, which shows and he's great at conversations too! I may have just found a new place to go to.

Was here on a Saturday 6 weeks back for the first time as I live across the road and was looking for a new barber. I was very disappointed with the service (price not an issue as it's pretty standard for Toronto). Having your barber tell you how hungover he was while cutting your hair is not exactly professional. He was finished in 20 minutes (not the 30 minutes as per the appointment) and left quite a few loose hairs on the side of my head as I felt he had no interest in being there and was more focused on going out drinking again after work. I had to ask my hairdresser friend to fix it which was v. frustrating. Unlikely to return.

I rebooked again. (Third time's a charm!) I booked with Michel. Wow, am I ever glad I gave them another chance. Michel was super engaging and fun to chat with. But the most important part, gave me one of the best haircuts I've had in a long time. I am so glad I now have an amazing barber in Toronto that I can count on seeing every month. I was in need of a hair cut and a beard trim. Most importantly, I wanted someone who could give me some advice on trimming and styling the beard that I had been growing for about a year without a cut. After careful consideration and reading online reviews I chose Garrison's as the hip barbershop to get the job done. I spoke to Julian and asked for Alex as the shops master barber and he said he is booked solid and I told him I wanted someone who is good at triming and styling beards and he said he has an opening with Daniel and that I would be in good hands. I met Daniel and found out that he had only been working there for three weeks since moving to Toronto from Australia. I thought uh oh, they stuck me with the rookie! But to my great surprise he was no rookie, After speaking to him for a bit, I was confident that he knew what he was doing. I told him to cut what he wanted off of my beard and it was up to him. he cut and styled my hair and beard and He did a bang up job! Many people I know have complimented me on the new beard style. I am impressed with Garrison's hiring, for a guy like Daniel coming to Toronto only three weeks ago, he was a great addition to their team and fit right in. He even gave me travel tips for Australia, hats off! Literally!

Horrible barbershop. Thank god my hair grows fast. The hair clippers they use don't even cut close. I have better clippers and I'm not a barber. This was the least of my issues. Overly priced. The barber messed up my hair. Bad. Btw, to the guys that work at the barbershop, don't get mixed signals cuz I tipped. I did that out of courtesy. Not cuz I was happy with your work. I've been getting fades at my regular barber for years. Couldn't get a spot on this day so I decided to try out this place. One of worst decisions I've made. Only writing this review to save someone from having to shave their own head.

Went for a haircut after lockdown. Poor face, didn't tidy up around the ears. Had to ask twice to go over the sides. Seemed scared to use scissors, didn't shorten the top. Had 45mins booked in, rushed and done in 25 mins. Would have been three stars as its pretty standard, but charging people $40 plus tax is a joke.

Brief background: I had long(mid-back length) hair for about 12 years. I went back and forth for about one year contemplating whether I should or shouldn't cut it. Thursday afternoon I went to see Dustin. I went in essentially without any plan or style in mind and asked him to do something that would suit my face shape and look good. He did exactly that. I couldn't be happier with the results, and even though I thought I would have some regrets, I have absolutely none. Go here, see Dustin, leave happy.

I made an appointment online today for 3:30, was very easy to set it up with Reserva - I got there and ended up waiting 30 minutes for my cut, as the barber assigned to me was backlogged. She apologized for the wait. It was a bit annoying having to wait half an hour. Cecilia was very friendly, and offered great suggestions and a mean haircut. The atmosphere was relaxed and the venue was nice. Price is a little bit steeper ($35 plus tax and tip), but I was extremely happy with my cut. Would definitely return.

I’ve known Alex for many many years, from back when he is across from the Trinity Bellwood’s part. He is punctual, honest and straight shooter. He gets to the point and very respectful and just cool. His craft is really good and he nails a good cut every time. I continue to see him and google has prompted me to write a review so I’m doing it. The best part is that Alex is normally book for weeks but because of covid he has a lot of openings without waiting for a week or so like before. Everyone is taking social distancing and protocols seriously so I am very glad to see.

Moved recently and was looking for a new place to get my haircut which is always hard. Garrison was close and wasn’t overpriced compared to other spots in the area so I figured I’d give it a shot. Glad I did because Michel gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had and it’s not even close! He was extremely personable, very detailed and walked me through every step he was taking, which I really appreciated because my hair is extremely hard to cut and style. Seriously, if your hesitant about trying this place out at all, just make an appointment with Michel and he’ll take care of you!!

I went to Garrison's for the first time with high expectations. I heard a lot of good things about this place. I heard from friends that go here it is the best barber shop in the city. I think it is far from it. I am quite familiar with barber lingo as I get a cut almost every week. I decided to try them out. I was very specific in the length and style and for the most part they got it right. The one thing that disappointed me the most was when it came to the end I asked if they were going to line me up with a straight razor and I was told no. That is quite surprising as most professional barbers use straight blades. The fade was good but without the line up my cut looked unfinished and not as clean as I had wanted. For the $40 price tag I think they should at least teach their barbers to line up hair. Went to my regular barber and for $10 they lined it up and it looked way better than when I left Garrison's.

By far one of the best parts of my day is come to the Garrisons to either get my hair cut or my beard trimmed. Love this place and highly recommend it to anyone. Just got back from my first hair cut at Garrison's and I can say I will be coming back. Staff is friendly and took care of me as I got in the door and the place is clean and really well maintained. I got my haircut from Evan and if the other barbers are anything like him you can't go wrong. Super friendly, took his time and showed me how to reproduce the hairstyle and gave me tips on how to get the best looks (which is something that isn't done a lot in my opinion). He gave me the look I asked for but wasn't afraid to make small decisions on his own (which I told him to before we began) All in all perfect experience! I wish I could've had my hair washed before hand as I had product in my hair but Evan seemed to have handled it well without a wash. I'm not sure if Garrison's offers hair wash but I think it would've been a nice addition but didn't turn out to be necessary at all since a bit of water from the spray bottle seemed to have washed the product off. I'm not sure if hair wash is common in barber shops so maybe its a norm to not have hair wash, either way didn't take away from the experience. Bottom Line: Perfect Experience.

My first experience here wasn't the greatest, a good haircut but a terrible shave. That would've been the end of it but Hollis, one of the owners, gave me a call later following up both to see what had happened and inviting me to come back. It was something I'd never experienced before. As such I took her up on her offer for a redo and had a cut and shave with Julian. I must admit both were stellar. He obviously knows what he's doing and I would highly recommend.
