I've been looking for a barber shop that I like ever since the one at the Pen Centre closed in, what, the 80's? Popped in here for a haircut right after they moved onto Hartzell Rd, and I've never looked back. Friendly staff, competent barbers, I got exactly what I wanted for a cut. Great place.

My experience here I'd have to say was a bit underwhelming. I didn't really feel as relaxed as I do with other places. Plus, once I got home I ended up finding a chunk of loose hair still on my head. Prices are reasonable but I would probably go to another place that is a bit more expensive just so I didn't have to worry about the most basic stuff being missed.

Omg I'm giving this place 5 stars for TWO reasons. First, it's in freaking MERRITTON, and if something is in MERRITTON, you know it kicks a*s, GO BULLDOGS! Second, ok, this is sort of embarrassing, but years ago, I dated this absolute fool. He was just a total uptight jerk, super mean and insecure. He'd get his haircut by a dude named Cedric who worked at the Pen center. Naturally Cedric is like, the least popular name (only other Cedric I can think of is Cedric from Home Alone), so I'm assuming it's the same guy that cut my ex's hair. So anyway, when my ex would get his haircut from Cedric, it was awesome because it would give me a major break from his criticisms and he'd focus it on his new haircut via Cedric. Don't get me wrong, the haircut wasn't even bad. Not at all. But when you're dating a major a*shole, nothing pleases them. Since he was unemployed, the criticisms shifted between me, his mother, the mail carrier and Cedric. Anyways, Ced! I'm forever in debt to you!

Great place. I would give this place a five, easily but I had a bad experience with the new guy. I'm normally unbothered by a bad cut, especially if they're still learning but he completely interrupted me while I tried to explain what I wanted. He rushed at fixing it when he made mistakes and tried to send me home with with patchy hair. I'm sure he could have done it properly if he bothered to listen. I suppose I should have made an appointment. Everyone else there is amazing.

I've only been to a handful of barbershops in my life, and i can confidently say this is the best one you can treat your hair to. By far. With my limited barbershop experiences, I only knew a rough idea of what I wanted, but they were very meticulous. The cut was amazing, chairs were comfortable, and the price was more than reasonable. Been coming from port colborne to st catherines- the headshop just to see Evan Anger for quality cuts for past few years! I always ask for something new to let his creative side come out and he nails it everytime, very clean fades, blendage and designs I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a great cut as well as a friendly service. Went to get a haircut and a beard shave and the haircut went well. But when I asked on the phone about their shaves I told them I had sensitive skin. I asked if they do hot towel shaves and they said yes so I booked it. When I was there and they proceeded to shave my face they butchered it leaving me with red marks, bumps and blood spots all over my face and neck. They still charged me for a full haircut and a full beard shave. After my face was destroyed she told me that they have to different prices for Beard shaves. One is just a standard Save which apparently I received and the other one is a full hot towel lie down shave which I asked for on the phone. I'm now afraid to go back.

First time getting my haircut at a barbershop, always went to a greatclips or first choice. I will always come back here for a cut, it was great and neatly done. I didn’t expect to get the back of my neck and side burns shaved with a straight razor but I’m glad it was done! Freddie was the one who cut my hair, she took her time and made sure it looked great. I’m also thankful that I didn’t feel a need to have a conversation as I was getting my haircut, which for me is really nice since I’m not much of a talker. I’ll be back in a month or so and actually look forward to it! Been here a couple times now, and have to say that this place is hit or miss, really depends who you get. You get a friendly greeting from them when you walk in, and I have received friendly service! I usually have gotten a good hair cut when I come, but again depends who you get. I have had Sarah, and she was great, liked the way it turned out, she is also very friendly and knowledgable. I would recommend coming here for your next hair cut and ask for Sarah! Few of he barbers here don't listen to what you ask for, and do what they want

Took my 4 year old grandson on Sunday and he is still excited about his lightening bolt. He felt so good after he said "I love my amazing haircut" I wish I knew her name that did the cut cuz she was amazing. She has a 4 year old daughter and she talked away with him. Thanks we will be back.
